Jacob's Doom's Day

MADAM ALECIA was flustered for the moment, glancing at her sole grandson. She did not expect Jacob's reaction, and they seemed to be tearing apart at that moment. His eyes were piercing through her soul, blatantly quietly accusing her. But his behavior did not hurt or sadden her as she understood the turmoil in his heart.

'I didn't listen to her when all she wanted was to stay and spend time at the seaside with all the family,' Jacob said in front of his grandmother. "But now, what?"

Next to his dead wife, Jacob, sitting on the edge of the bed, seemed to soften. He bent his face with clasped palms.

Madam Alecia slowly stepped closer to the bed where Angeline was lying. She stared at the beauty as if sleeping soundly.

"You know what her true identity is. You discovered that before you even decided to get married."

He lifted his eyes and fixed them on the older woman when Jacob heard his grandmother's words.
