"UNNIE!"
Eclaire immediately got up when she heard Yeri, her younger stepsister, scream for her. 'Unnie' was an honorary title used by younger girls to address their older sisters or girls older than them. She was two-year-older than Yeri who had just turned eighteen years old this year.
Anyway…
The fact that she woke up was proof that meeting Nathaniel Ystraughffe was indeed a dream.
[Yeri-ya…]
She stood up and ran to her bed. Then, she grabbed the taser under her pillow before she bolted out of the room. She bought a taser in the past because of a stalker. But she didn't expect that she'd find it useful in the comfort of her own home.
[Please don't let anything bad happen to my baby sister…]
Once again, she found the urge to curse as she climbed the staircase. Her sister's room was on the second floor while hers was on the first floor. And her room was on the first floor because her constitution had been very weak since she was a child.
Thus, simply climbing the stairs was putting a strain on her body.
But for her younger sister, she endured and even ran just to get to her room fast.
"Yeri-ya!" Eclaire exclaimed worriedly as she opened the door of her sister's room. "What happened–"
"Unnie!" Yeri yelled excitedly, then she got up from the floor to face her and hold her hands. "I did it, unnie!"
She couldn't react to her sister's excitement because her eyes were glued to the floor.
[What is… that?]
"Unnie, unnie!" Yeri said while shaking her shoulders. "I successfully summoned Graham Oppa!"
'Oppa' was an honorary title used by younger girls to address their older brother or boys older than them.
And the guy that Yeri was calling 'Graham Oppa' was unconscious on the floor.
[Silver hair… pale skin…]
The boy was unconscious, but if he was, they would probably be greeted by a pair of beautiful ice-blue eyes that sparkled like blue diamonds.
[That's if the boy is indeed Graham Wolfenstein from the novel!]
Thankfully, she was raised by her mother as a decent older sister.
As such, she didn't allow herself to panic any longer. She immediately calmed down and cleared her head. Her priority was to protect her baby sister. This wasn't a dream this time and therefore, Yeri could be in danger because of a stranger she "summoned."
"Yeri-ya," she said as she grabbed her sister by the arms. She noticed that Yeri's body temperature was warmer than usual. Plus, her sister's face was flushed as if she had a fever. "What happened? How did you "summon" him?"
"I just answered the question that I saw on the cover of the book," her baby sister said. It seemed like she was running out of breath, but she couldn't seem to stop talking. "When I got home, I went to your room to borrow the latest volume of our favorite novel. But you were sleeping, unnie. I didn't want to wake you up, so I just left a note saying I borrowed the book because I wanted to read it as soon as possible."
Ah, she didn't notice the note because she was in a hurry earlier.
"When I got here, I noticed that there was a question under the book title," Yeri continued with her story. She took a deep breath and wiped the beads of sweat on her forehead before talking again. "The question goes like this: 'Who among the characters in this book would you like to summon to your world?'"
Her brows furrowed in confusion.
[There wasn't a question like that on the cover of the book when I was reading it.]
"So, I said I wanted Graham Oppa to be summoned here," Yeri said excitedly even though it sounded like she was already out of breath. "I thought it's just a question for a book discussion. But ta-da!" She pointed to Graham Wolfenstein with her two hands. "Graham Oppa really appeared!"
She put her hands on her hips and gave her sister a disapproving look. "All of that happened and you're this calm?"
"Unnie, I love fantasy books and I'm an aspiring author!" Yeri said while patting her chest proudly. It was amazing how her sister looked tired, but her voice remained energetic. "To be honest, I've always dreamt of being isekai-ed to a different world."
'Isekai' meant another world and being 'isekai-ed' was the act of being run over by a truck (or dying by whatever means) and being reborn in another world. It was a popular trope in fiction (especially in web novels) these days.
[I wanted to say it's a strange reason to be calm in such a situation but to be honest, I feel the same way as my dongsaeng.]
As a fantasy novel reader, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that she was prepared for that moment. Ah, no. It would be more appropriate to say that she was waiting for the time to come.
[I'd probably jump in joy if dungeons with monsters begin to appear in this world, too.]
One can never underestimate the strong mentality of weebs, huh?
"But the main character being isekai-ed to the real world is also refreshing," Yeri said, then she smiled brightly. "I need a boyfriend anyway."
Huh?
Eclaire was about to ask her baby sister what she meant by that when all of a sudden, Yeri fell to the floor unceremoniously after fainting. "Yeri-ya!"
