ECLAIRE must have lost her mind for her to cook five rib-eye steaks for a man that could kill her and her little sister if he went berserk.
But she couldn't help it.
She felt guilty after hitting Graham Wolfenstein with a stun gun. In her defense, she was seriously shocked when he suddenly transformed back into his human form. And he licked her hand! Before she knew it, her hand had already turned the taser's switch on.
Thus, she brought Graham to the dining hall and served him dinner.
"I'm really sorry about knocking you out," Eclaire said after she transferred the hot five pieces of pan-seared ribeye steaks to the plates that she served for Graham. She just seasoned the steak with salt and pepper, tossed it in the pan, then put a tablespoon of butter and a few sprigs of fresh thyme. "I was startled when you changed back into your human form." She scratched her cheek before she confessed. "To be honest, I thought you'd be naked."
Graham's cheeks turned red, then his eyes fell to the steaks in front of him. "You don't have to worry about that, Eclaire," he said shyly. "The clothes I'm wearing were made by the Bear Tribe." He pointed to the expensive-looking braided leather bracelet around his wrist. "This is made for the Werewolves. Once this bracelet detects the change in our body, it will adjust to the size of my wolf leg and activate the hidden storage function to hide my clothes. And once I return back to my human form, the bracelet will release my clothes."
"That's so cool," she said sincerely.
She had already read it in the book. But to see the braided leather bracelet in person was really interesting.
Although she was pretending to be shocked, she was still genuinely impressed.
[I can't say that I already know about it because I don't want him to find out that he's just a character in the book.]
She thought Graham's world would crumble if that happened.
"Thank you, Eclaire," Graham said, interrupting her thoughts. "The Bear Tribe is indeed filled with brilliant craftsmen."
[The Bear Tribe~]
She may appear cool on the outside. But the fangirl inside her was already doing a victory dance. She was so happy to hear about the world of her favorite novel straight from the main character's mouth.
[The Bear Tribe is one of the five prominent families of Fangs aside from the Vampires and the Wolf Tribe. The Bears aren't offensive fighters, but they are good supports. Plus, they are in charge of creating the uniforms for the other Fangs.]
She smiled to control herself from fangirling, then she sat on the chair across from Graham. "You may eat now."
His eyes widened in shock. "Are all of these for me only?"
"Yes, since I'm not yet hungry," she said. Well, she was a little hungry. But she wanted to eat with Yeri. [Ah, I will check on my dongsaeng later.]
"It looks like you know what my favorite food is, as well as how big of an eater I am," Graham said, still shy, before he raised his head to meet her gaze. "Did you know it from reading my life story in the novel?"
Her jaw dropped open from shock.
[Omo, omo, omo.]
"G-Graham, are you aware that you're just a book character and not a real person?"
He blinked several times, then he smiled as if he just solved a puzzle in his head. "You must have thought that the book about me was nothing but an ordinary novel," he said. "But Eclaire, that book isn't a fantasy book. It's called an 'Access,' and it's the door that connects my world to your world."
"Huh?"
"I was also given an Access not too long ago," he continued. "It's called 'Records of Eclaire Song,' and it's a book about your mundane life."
Her eyes widened in shock, then she covered her mouth with her hands when she gasped. "Why is there a book about me? And if those books are doors that connect our worlds together, why does it have to be a book about your life and mine?"
"The only explanation that I can think of is because your family swore loyalty to my family," he explained patiently. "Thus, someone from my family is keeping a record of my life for your family to read about."
"Then, there's someone from my family that's keeping a record of my life to report to your family?"
He looked pleased by her quick thinking. "That's correct, Eclaire."
She was speechless.
All this time, she thought that Graham's life story was nothing but a good fantasy book. But he was actually a real person? And the fantasy book that she had been reading for a few years now was a report about his life?
[That means our families have a deep bond.]
"Do you find it hard to believe me, Eclaire?" Graham asked worriedly. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have shocked you like that."
"No, it's okay," Eclaire said, then she pulled her smartphone out of the front pocket of her sweater. Then, she dialed her mother's phone number. Yep, it was the fastest way to confirm whether Graham was telling the truth or not. "Eomma, is the novel that you made me read ever since I was a child a door to another world?"

<"ECLAIRE, sweetie, I'm sorry that you have to find out about the secret of our family this way. I can't explain it well on the phone, but I promise to tell you everything once I return with your appa. For now, please take good care of Lord Graham– he's a very important person to our family.">
The words of Eclaire's mother still rang in her head as she made her way back to the dining hall.
She had to step out of the dining hall when she made a call earlier because she didn't want Graham to see how shocked she was. But her mother didn't stay long on the phone. It seemed like her eomma was in a hurry, so she cut off the call abruptly.
Still, she got the confirmation that she needed. Even though she couldn't fully trust Graham Wolfenstein yet, she had complete faith in her mother.
[Eomma didn't sound shock when I mentioned Graham and the book as if she was waiting for this day to happen. She just sounded sorry that I have to find out about our family's 'secret' this way.]
And her mother even addressed Graham as 'lord.'
Eclaire gasped softly. "Is our family a servant of Graham's family?"
But she didn't want to address someone younger than her as 'lord.'
"Oppa, let's date!"
She was shocked when she heard Yeri's cheerful voice.
[Yeri is already awake?]
She immediately ran toward the dining hall, only to be shocked when she saw Yeri and Graham standing in front of each other.
And she could see Yeri's holding Graham's hands tight.
"Okay," Graham said while smiling shyly. "We can date if you want, Yeri."
Huh?
He already knew her baby sister's name?
"No!" Eclaire yelled, pissed. "You can't date someone you just met, Yeri!"
