Meetings 2/2

Odens: Moments right after The Gang left:

A fat, half-bold man wearing the same brown robes and wooden cross as Klaus and the Priest from the plaza, runs through the church's narrow halls and burst into a room on the second level waking the person inside in the process.

"SIRE, THE WITCH, THE WITCH!!"

"THE WITCH WHAT, YOU OVERGROWN BUFFOON?!!"

Inside the dark room, a very angry priest Kamar was now sitting on his bed after being rudely awakened in the middle of the night, by one of his Incompetent monks.

"The 'witch.....escaped."

...Silence...

"What did you say? I think I misheard you because I know, you wouldn't be so stupid as to let a wick, defenseless, girl escape, A CHURCH FILLED WITH GUARDS!

"Gulp" "I...

It's—, it's true sire the witch, she, she somehow escap—."

"YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING IMBECILE!! HOW COULD YOU LET HER ESCAPE? WHERE WERE THE GUARDS, THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE WATCHING HER!!

"I.., I.,—l dddon't know what happened, but I-I ffffound most of them, unconscious outside...

"WHAT? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE, THERE WERE NINE OF THEM!!

"That's nnnot all sire.... one of them, he.. he's...he's dead."

...SILENCE....

"Gulp Gulp....Sire...? What should we do, the people are expecting her assassination in a few hours.

It takes Kamar a few minutes to compose himself and make a plan she was but a scared girl, she couldn't have gone far.

"Sound the bells, she couldn't have gone far by herself, the people already know her face. Send word to the inquisitors, inform them, there's a witch on the loose, also make them Interrogate THOSE INCOMPETENT GUARDS."

"Yes Sire, right away!"

The fat man runs out to follow through with the orders, leaving Kamar pacing in his room completely wrapped in his thoughts.

(If I let a Witch escape under my watch, I'll be excommunicated. I can't let that happen no matter what!

No natter how many times I go through it, there is no reasonable explanation for any of this, and yet, here we are, with most of my guards unconscious and one even dead.

That girl was tortured for days in her state, there is no way she could've done anything of the sort. No, she must've had help! But from whom, no one would be stupid enough to go against us, no one... WAIT, that boy, yes, the one with the red hair.

He tried to save her before on the plaza, what if....No, on second thought he couldn't have, he was too wick and scrawny to defeat any of the guards, let alone kill one. It must've been someone else.

Whatever the case, anyone involved will burn with the witch.)

"DING DONG" DING DONG" DING DONG" DING DONG"

The Priest didn't need to wait long in minutes, the bells were ringing waking up every Men Women, and child in the city. Soon, he would give a speech and use the people to search for the witch within the city, there is a chance she never left.

"Hehehe, you can run but you cannot hide little girl, no witch has ever been able to outrun the inquisitors. In a few days, you'll be burning for your sins."

After changing his clothes he's quickly out the door and into the hallway. it was time to prepare for the inquisitor's arrival.

Three hours later, they've arrived.

Facing Kamar, while he stands on the Church's aisle wearing his ceremonial golden, white cassock and a matching tall miter, are fifty men strong, all wearing red robes with a big black star on their chest and wooden crosses dangling from their necks. They are all armed with longswords, hidden dangers, and a crossbow each.

"My trusted inquisitors, I have summoned you at this late hour because of a matter of great importance."

"As you by now know, The witch who was meant to burn this very morning has escaped our custody."

If she isn't captured soon Heaven knows the devastation she will send our way."

It is our duty as servants of the Lord to protect the innocent people of Odens from her no doubt, evil intentions!"

A tall, very tough-looking whitehead man in his late 20s with a scar over his left eye covered by a black eyepatch with a golden cross engraved on it, walks forward. On his right hand, he caries a longsword with a 'unique handle that matches perfectly his eyepatch's golden cross.

Unlike the others, the whitehead man doesn't wear a red robe, instead, he wears black trousers and a matching black shirt covered by an all-red light armor with a black cape with a red interior and black leather boots.

Smiling sadistically, he stops in front of Kamar.

"Sire, my inquisitors are prepared to hunt this foul creature to the ends of the earth if need to", as we have done many times over."

"However, that won't be necessary as you ordered, I interrogated the guards thoroughly and we now know who was the sinner who helped the Witch escape."

"Very well, who was it then?"

"For what I could find, It was a man called 'Erik son of Mikael, a Viking Dane. "He first freed his younger brother from the guard's Dungeon by the gate where he had put the boy for trying to save the very same witch, yesterday on the Plaza."

"Later, he came here, took out the guards, and finally left with the witch."

"It seems they had planned this from the start." Maybe even before she was found.

"They were the perfect minions, a soldier, and monk, she had eyes in both the people and the Church alike.

(So, I was right, it was those BASTARDS after all!!)

"Indeed I remember, the young redhead monk and the strong man with same hair color. "

"Very well. Azazel, you and your inquisitors are to track them down and bring them back to me, 'alive. They too must also be burned with the Witch they worship to cleanse their corrected souls."

"Do not worry my lord, It's only been a few hours, they couldn't have gone far."

We'll search for them in every village in a 50m radius. In a week's time you shall have their heads."

Kamar nods his head and smiles.

"I'm counting on you Azazel, bring them back as fast as you can. I won't sleep well knowing they're out there spreading Satan's will."

Touching the floor with the tip of his sword between himself and the Priest, Azazel bends the knee with both his hands on top of the handle of the blade in front of Kamar.

"I Azazel commander of the inquisitors, vow to bring back the witch and her minions of evil."

"WE, THE INQUISITORS VOW..."

The men get down on their knees with their swords in front of them as well, imitating their commander.

Kamar smiled proud of his loyal army.

"Go Now, and bring me the sinners."

Azazel gets up and turns away making his black cape flutter with the air. Walking straight, with a sadistic smile on his face, his men make a path for him to walk through.

One by one they follow him out of the Church and into the cold night, they were excited about their next witch-hunt.

(Gideon's cave: Present time:)

—Gideon's P.O.V

As I stand in front of these three powerless bunch, I can't help but feel warm inside. My old family and I weren't exactly close. (Maybe they can be my second chance at a real family, my Scooby-Doo gang of sorts.) I smile and look at Magnus.

"I'm glad you all met one another, but time for socializing is over."

"As I said to you earlier they'll be our new family, our brothers in arms, in what's to come."

"Brothers in arms? What do you mean, who are we fighting?

"The lord doesn't like its people fighting for petty reasons, it saddens him!"

(He can be so ANNOYING at times. Is he EVER going to stop with the sermons? I don't think I can take a thousand years of this bullshit. I'm starting to rethink the whole making him an immortal, thing .)

"Klaus, I'll explain everything outside in front of Erik, that way he'll understand why I kidnapped him in the middle of the night yesterday.

"Plus by seeing you with me, he might calm down a bit and actually listen, for once."

"I think that's a good idea, he needs to be on the loop as well, but you better explain the whole thing including the war you mentioned to me yesterday, I haven't forgotten, so don't even try to hide it!"

I'm sure it has something to do with what you just called us. 'Brothers in arm', or whatever."

(SO ANNOYING.)

Smacking my lips I turn to Freya.

"Yesterday I promised I'd answer any of your questions, so let's have it, what do you wanna know?"

With her iconic stoicism, she responds.

"....I have only two questions, everything else I have guessed or Klaus already explained....."

Tuning to the redhead I see him nodding so I keep quiet and let her finish.

"Am I capable of learning magic like Magnus, and if so, can you teach me?

(Well, well, she can speak like a pro when she wants something, even if her facial expressions are as stoic as ever.)

"Anyone can learn magic if they have 'me as their teacher(for obvious reasons), that includes you of course."

"To answer your second question, Yes, I was planning on teaching you magic as long as you were willing to learn.

"But honestly, I wasn't so sure you would want to after what you went through with the church for being a 'Witch."

The mention of the Church makes her flinch but her expressionless face never falters.

"I take it you want to learn then, right?"

Happy getting a yes and no question, Freya nods her head so she won't have to say the words out loud.

(So, I'm stuck with a fanatic, a stoic, and meathead, I sure can choose them!

Well, at least I got Magnus to valence it out, sight...)

"Good, now that that's settled, lest go meet the Meathead! I say while putting my arms around Magnus, he's my only good apple left.

It takes us a few minutes to get to the tree I tied Erick to. We travel in a single file manner, I'm walking in front followed by Magus, then by Klaus, and finally by Freya.

The shirtless man is awake with shadow under his eyes, (he didn't sleep a wink last night. Make sense though, in his position neither would I.) The moment he sees us he starts.

"MMMMmmm? MMMMMmmmm?"

Klaus stares at him in shock then turns to me and gives me a look that screams 'I love you, man'. if he had a phone he'd be posting on Instagram by now.

Magnus always, the pacifistic, looks quite bothered by it, and Freya well, she's Freya her facial expression almost never changes.

Getting an expression other than stoicism out of her is hard work. Obviously, a shirtless handsome man chained to a giant tree doesn't qualify.

I turn to Magnus as usual.

"Magnus meet, The Meathead, sorry I mean meet Erik Klaus' brother."

"He looks like he hasn't slept in days. Why do you keep him like this?" And why can't he talk? Is he mute?

"That's a long story he'll probably tell you one day when he can laugh about it." And no, he's not mute. I took his voice away because of all the screaming.

"MMMMMMM. MMMmmmMmm" Mmmm.

"I can't imagine him ever laughing about this, at least not any time soon."

Hahaha, Don't be so sure dear friend after what am about to offer him, he'll probably forget this little incident ever happened in the first place."
