Meetings 1/2

In Gideon's cave, a light suddenly appears dissipating the Darkness and leaving four people in its wake.

Klaus falls on his knees, but this time keeps his stomach Intact. The same can't be said for Freya, the girl vomits whatever little food the monks had given her with tears in her eyes. Erik bends a knee but keeps his composure.

The only one stubbornly standing up is Gideon, who bites the inside of his cheeks to control the pain.

{Gideon's Pop}

(Fucking hell! I can barely keep myself standing. I refuse to fall down in front of these three though, I'm an immortal wizard, I have my pride to think of!)

Breathing forcefully through my nose, I wield myself from falling down in disgrace. When my eyes adjust, I walk 'proudly to pet Snow on the head.

"You missed me, boy?" The proud creature looks me in the eyes and shows me no obvious signs of nostalgia, but I know otherwise.

After giving the beast some love, I turn to my guest, I start with Klaus.

"You need to clean up, there is a lake not too far from here, follow Snow, he'll lead you there. Pointing to Freya, I say.

"You probably have questions however, It's the middle of the night and it's been a hard day for all of us."

"Tomorrow I'll answer any questions you have."

Her answer as always is silent nod.

"What about my brother, you won't leave him like this, will you?

"Don't worry I won't! I'm going to free his mind and tight him to a tree outside until we can properly explain everything."

"Hopefully, he won't be too upset."

"Ha, as if! We both know he's going to want your head in a pike, literally."

(I know, but maybe the prospect of immortality will help to change his mind. After all, strength is what every Viking strides for, especially one as prideful as him.)

Not wanting to explain immortality at the moment, I say instead.

"I'll worry about that tomorrow. Go wash up then come back and get some rest, we have a lot to talk about tomorrow."

Oh, and before I forget, here you go, I got this from Erik's house.

He sees the wooden cross in my hand and practically gags.

"You kept your word! "Of course, I did, the devil never breaks a deal!"

"Please stop saying that! "Never!!"

He puts the thing over his head, then he makes the sight of the cross, I roll my eyes, look toward Snow, and tell him to bring the fanatic to the lake.

Snow whimpers clearly annoyed by this but he does as I say, nonetheless.

Finally, there are only three of us left. I lock eyes with Freya and notice her shivering.

"Are you cold? ".....Yes," I smile, finally getting her to talk. "Don't worry I'll make a fire."

I place the firewood on the made-up campfire and wordlessly bring forth the burning fire... (INCENDIO...)

Powerful flames shoot out of my hand and into the pyre.

Freya stares in awe at my sudden display of sorcery. The fire stabilizes quickly and starts warming up the cold cave.

"How--? She begins but stops herself remembering what I said about questions.

"Come closer to the fire, you'll warm up faster. Hesitating, she takes a few steps and lies down to the other side of the fire, across from me.

(She's still doesn't trust me completely. Can't blame her though!)

(Anyway it's time to bring Erik back, sigh..)

I walk to the puppet and order him to follow me outside. Getting wet as he goes through the cave's waterfall, the man shudders.

"I'm sorry pal but you'll have to bear it for now. He nods and follows me into the forest. We walk in silence until I find a big enough tree to hold him."

"Put your back to the tree and standstill," I command him. When he does, I take his sword from him. Focusing on the blade, I picture a long iron chain in my mind.

Once I have the perfect mental image, the object begins to heat up, a minute later it melts in my hand, finally, it's starts to take the shape of long metal chains.

When the magic is done, I lift my hands, before me and I say the spell in my mind.

(Wingardium leviosa)

The chains begin to levitate and I maneuver them to wrap themselves around both Erik and the tree, before me. After I'm sure he can't move a muscle, I smile proudly.

"This might hurt when you come back into consciousness, sorry in advance."

Ready to release his mind, once again I place my index finger over his forehead. Retrieving the energy back into my hand, I chant, "IMPERIO"...

His body begins to sweat and his head starts to shake uncontrollably, after a few beats, he begins to calm down and regain consciousness. (Man, that felt like an exorcism!)

"What--..? Where, where am I? My head feels funny." "Why--, why am I chained to a tree?"

"I can explain that, but first, what is the last thing you remember? He stares at me disoriented placing his last memory then.

"YOU!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?

"WHEN I GET FREE I'M GOING TO RIP YOU TO SHREDS, YOU FUCK--." Before he can curse me into kingdom come, I point my index finger at him. "SILENCIO.."

Mmmm. Mmmmm!!! MMMMmmm!!

With a bitter smile, I say. "I'll explain everything tomorrow, for now just rest up.

"I know I'll be hard chained up to a tree, like that, but try, okay.

"I promise this is for the best, even if it doesn't feel like it right now."

MMMMmmm. MMMMmmm? MMMMMmmmm.

(I guess he won't listen, can't say I'm surprised, though.) Sighing, I turn my back and leave him be.

Back at the cave, I find Freya sound asleep with Klaus all clean up, lying next to her.

(These two are getting quite close. That's a good thing though, she needs someone like him to take care of her, after all the horrors she's been through.

Also if she wants to stay with us, she'll definitely need protecting. Soon we're going to war and someone with the power of the Omnitrix should be a perfect love prospect for her.)

"I should probably still teach her magic, though. Maybe even turn her, I'll think about it some more."

I see Snow all curled up by himself near the fire, so I go and snuggle myself on his warmth.

The next day, I'm the first one to rise. I get up, walk out, and go towards the lake.

Half an hour later, at the lake, I see Magnus practicing his craft, levitating dozens of rocks and stopping their descent as I taught him to.

"CLAP...CLAP...CLAP."

The man turns around at the sound of my clapping.

"You've improved tremendously, these last 3 days."

"Gideon, why are you back so soon? "I thought you were coming back in a week?"

(Oh, thank God he stopped with the whole Sir thing.)

"There was a complication and I had to shorten my trip." I reply smiling.

"There are a few people I want you to meet. They're going to be our new companions from now on!"

"A few people? Do you mean mages like me? "No, they're not mages, at least not yet anyway." Come meet them, they're probably awake by now."

The man nods and follows me back to the cave, there, we find the lovebirds awake speaking quietly.

"Guys, I want you to meet someone, this is Magnus, my apprentice.

As always Klaus is the one to speak.

"Your apprentice? I thought you were the only 'Wizard in the world."

"And I am, Magnus is but a mage, he's still a far cry from becoming a Wizard like me!

The man nods, in approval.

"Indeed, Gideon is a full-fledged Wizard, the things I've seen him do with magic, are out of this world.

"I actually just started learning magic from him 3 days ago."

"And yet, you've improved tremendously in that short amount of time." I'm impressed!

He smiles proudly, with my acknowledgment.

"Anyways, I wanted to introduce you all because from now on, we will be one big happy family.

Everyone gives me awkward looks.

"Ehmm, the redhead's name is Nicklaus, but you can just call him Klaus and the quiet one over there is Freya." "She's not much of a talker."

"You'll have time to get to know each other later."

Klaus stares blankly at me and says. "Aren't you forgetting someone by any chance?"

"Don't worry I haven't forgotten your brother.

"There is also a third person, but his 'caught up at the moment. You'll get to meet him soon."

"That's fine. So, have you told them our plans yet? "No, not yet. I've been waiting for you to meet them first.

"By the way, I had to make a few adjustments."

"As long as I get to keep learning magic I'm fine with whatever changes you make."

"That's good because the changes are huge!"

Smiling I look at them with pride, from now on they'll be my new family, my brothers in arm against the church and Danes.

Now all I had left to do, was to convince the firey read-head Viking to join.
