"Jeez, okay. Not like we can have stupid conversations some other time," He snickered.
"Nah. Not anytime. They suuuuck." She replied.
"What are you on? You never had like having fun?"
"I do. Just not now."
"You just proved my point."
They once again turned around another corner, and it was now nearly completely abstract from light, making it only barely visible to those whose eyes managed to get used to the darkness.
They kept walking in complete silence for a while being a small area off to the right with a few vending machines. All 3 of them were different kinds of drink dispensers. The one on the right had been big-time smashed up and stained with blood. One could also faintly make out a jacket on the ground.
Luca went over to the jacket and picked it up, taking it into a lighter spot nearby to inspect it. It was a cropped leather pink jacket with short sleeves. As she finished a brief look-over it around she reported his findings to Rambone.
She flipped the jacket over and pointed to a particular spot on it to him.
"Look, look at that big stain."
"I see. Yeah... jeez... that's quite a big stain, indeed. What about it?"
"You've said jeez twice this chapter, you got to stop saying that now."
"Huh? What the hell are you talking about?"
"Did you just say not hear what I just told you?"
"Y... Yes?" He said, unsure.
"Readers don't like it when you say reaction words more than twice in a single chapter. Much less than in multiple chapters in a row."
"READERS? Are you high? Are you planning on writing on a book on this or some shit?"
"Well, hey, I'm certainly NOT going to write it. How about I make you write after all this fucking shit settles down?" She quickly spat.
"No. I'm not gonna fucking write. What am I, some kinda fuckin' nerd?! Do you really think that low of me?" He replied, annoyed.
"Of course I don't! Now can you shut the fuck up?"
"You're the one who should be shutting the fuck up here!"
"No, I won't be shutting up, in fact! I'm not some fuckin' 12 year old bitchface who constantly gets into petty arguments with their friends!"
"Bitchface? 'fuck do you mean calling me a bitchface? That is the worst insult I have ever heard in my entire life dude."
"Ok, I guess then I'll just shut up then."
"Good."
"But before that, I need wax to your stupid ass about why this jacket is important."
"Then why is it important?"
"Well, it's Cara's jacket, obviously. Did you try to use any of your single fucking brain cells when I showed you it in the first place? Her jacket is like the obvious thing ever to spot."
"To be honest, I never really paid attention to it in the first place." He shrugged her comment off.
"Ok, then, what do YOU think it being here means? I'll let you figure it out. 'Cuz with you being that dumb, you gotta start putting your brain to work and pitch in it. Not a one-man band here."
He took a moment to take a deep breath and think before answering.
"For starters, I guess we could we say that she got beat up and they left behind?" He said, not completely confident in the answer. "Now... now that I'm saying that it kinda sounds dumb."
"You're on the right track..."
There was another moment of silence.
"She took it off?"
"DING DING DING!"
"But... why?"
"She took it so she could have an easier time being them up."
The realization quickly hit him. "Oooh... yeah. I can see that."
And then there was another moment of silence.
"Well... what are you gonna do with it?" He asked.
"I don't know... if I'm gonna be real for a moment."
"How about wearing it? Probably better than just carrying around everywhere."
"You know, that's actually a half-decent idea." She said bluntly. She then put it on. It was just a size or two too big for her.
"Not quite like wearing an oversized hoodie, I bet, but I think you'll do fine wearing it."
She was already wearing her uniform and it cramped her forearms.
"Moving my arms is gonna suck with this."
"You'll be finnnneeee."
"I probably won't."
They then kept walking and then stumbled upon the back of what is most likely a warehouse as two people walked out the backdoor. They each a wore black-colored drape, cape, hood, ski mask, and pants. As the door closed behind them, they saw Rambone and Luca. Luca, reminded of the hood, quickly began hyperventilating at the sight of them.
"Uh... why are you here?" One of them said. It sounded like a man.
"Umm... we're just uhh... looking for someone." He said awkwardly as he pulled her to her side with an arm.
He quickly whispered something in her ear. "They're probably not like the rest of them... so relax."
"What'd ya say, mate?" The other said. They also sounded like a man. "'ouldn't hear 'ya there."
Luca's expression rapidly turned to turn anger and she broke free from the grasp of Rambone and charged at one of them.
"Woah woa-" He said, putting his hands up a bit to signal her to calm down. She ignored them.
She stopped right before colliding him, took two steps, and punched him as hard as she could in the face.
It landed, but not before the man responded by grabbing her by the right arm and throwing her over the back and into the wall of a nearby garbage dumpster a few meters away. Her back hit the wall with a hard SLAM and nearly fainted from the recoil.
The other one pointed at the jacket to the one who had just thrown Luca.
"Wait... isn't that the jacket that Cara girl had?"
"Hold on... it is! These two gotta be the ones tryin' to fuckin' rescue her!" He said right as Luca was once again making a mad dash to him.
"Nah, you've got this all wrong!" Rambone lied.
"Nah nah nah... you ain't weaseling your way out of this one, kids!" The other began dashing towards Rambone as he readied himself.
