My Demonic Contract

"Fine, you got me," Jayce said. "But, there's something you need to know about the contract."

"And what's that?" Britney replied nervously.

"Not here," Jayce stated as he pulled out the dimensional cube artifact. "We'll talk about it in here."

Britney recognized the artifact. Knowing that she could leave when she wanted to and that Jayce couldn't harm her, she reached out a laid her hand on the artifact as Jayce activated it.

The two of them disappeared from her room and reappeared inside the artifact.

'Wow,' Britney thought as she looked around. 'I wonder how it works. How can we breathe here? How big is this room? How does it recognize when someone wants to leave? How-"

"Hello?" Jayce said, waving his hand in front of her face.

"S-sorry," Britney replied as she took a few steps back. "So, what did I need to know about the contract?"

"First things first," Jayce stated. "You need to know about Nightmare."
