Chapter 38 Nathan Is Awake

Carrying Nathan, I feel the loss of weight, looking down.

I noticed he was no longer in his beast form, only his ripped pants remained.

Flying to Arthur's hospital, I flew near the topside.

Where the building is too high to view, covered in darkness.

Arthur pushes a window open, as I fly into the warm office.

Arthur has slick hair, he is wearing a black suit and tie.

Releasing Nathan my talon's grip, he falls to the floor.

As blood drips my talons.

I continue to flap my wings, hovering.

"Haven't seen you embrace that side of yourself in a while, Alder?"

Waldron says as he sits in a chair, next to his siblings.

Waldron wears glasses and a suit; he has long slick black hair.

With bright red eyes and a bush black beard.

Valentine sits in the middle.

She has long black hair.

She is always seen wearing a red or black dress.

With blue eyes that flicker red every time she looks at Nathan.

"Is that my meal?"

Valentine asks.

"What a majestic sight you are, Alder."

Vaughn chimes.

Vaughn wears a black blazer and t-shirt.

His hair is faded and slicked back.

His eyes are red as always.

"Go put some clothes on, we have a family meeting."

Arthur says, as he tosses me a towel.

Black flames engulf me as my talons touch the floor, turning back into my feet.

After getting myself sorted out.

I walked back into the room.

Nathan's wrists are tied up as he sits in the corner of the room.

"Come sit down, Alder, down, let us begin."

Arthur says.

"You sure took your time, Alder."

Valentine says, I sat down next to Vaugh,

As Arthur sits at his desk, we all face him.

"First let us talk about what has been accomplished tonight. Alder has brought us the man responsible for the destruction of Ciphia mainly Ohme's competition. He has been the turning point for the underworld of Ciphia whether we like it or not."

Arthur says as he clasps his hands together, sighing.

"Now what is left is what to do with him?"

Waldron asks.

Arthur nods, as he adds on.

"Now what's left of this discussion is what to do with him?"

Arthur asks, looking at us four.

"You aren't suggesting we keep him alive, are you?"

Valentine asks.

Waldron and Arthur looked at each other.

"We can-"

Waldron attempts to speak but he is interrupted by Vaughn.

"It's always like this? Why do you even include us if you've already decided?"

Vaugh says.

"Because it's always good for you two to have a word, I always want to know your opinions. I have respect for everyone in this room. I trust your judgment. In fact, you're the only few people I do trust in Ciphia."

Arthur says proudly.

"We can use Nathan, he is one of Thorne's strongest men. She left him in Ciphia without realizing he could be easily taken down with a mere stone. Alder showed us the stone."

Waldron says.

Taking off the necklace, I held it out.

As the crystal is covered, it glows purple.

Entrapping even more energy.

"With this faint energy she could track us down."

Valentine says.

"Let us assume she already has."

Arthur says.

"We have his weapon now, and he seems to be of great use."

Arthur says.

"Alder has already agreed to look out for Nathan."

Waldron says as he straightens out his glasses.

Nathan starts to wake up as he groans.

"No doubt you already planned this."

Vaughn says as he stands up from his chair.

Vaughn steps towards Nathan, punching him in the face.

Nathan grunts as he attempts to recover.

"I'm tired of you three."

Vaughn glares at Arthur before turning, looking at me and Waldron.

Vaughn grabs Nathan's hair, dragging him across the floor.

"That's enough Vaughn, you are getting blood on my office floor!"

Arthur shouts.

"What are you going to do to stop me, huh big brother? Am I really the bad guy for wanting the Ohme mutt dead?"

Vaughn asks Nathan in the corner.

He then kicks Nathan in the face.

The wall was painted red later.

Vaughn grabs Nathan's neck, lifting him up.

"Next I'll rip his heart out."

Waldron sighed, as I stood up.

Vaughn raises his hand.

Grabbing Vaughn's hand, I twisted it.

He grunted in pain as I pulled his arm.

Vaughn drops Nathan to the ground.

Punching me in the face.

I groan in pain after each punch, holding onto his arm.

Pulling him in, I tripped him by pushing my arm behind his back.

"Grah!"

Vaughn moans in agony.

"Let him go, Alder, he's had enough. Don't forget he is just a kid."

Arthur says, as he still sits at his desk clasping his hands.

"Vaughn, it's been nearly a hundred years. But you still seem unable to grasp the fact that there are never three of us. But all of us just need to understand why we make the decisions we make."

Waldron said as he sat up, pulling a book.

Standing over Vaughn, I noticed the looks exchanged between him and Valentine.

Valentine looks at Vaugh before she gets up and leaves.

"Wait, where are you going?"

Vaughn shouts as he chases after his twin sister.

"Well then it looks like our meeting fell short due to another tantrum."

Arthur said, we all. We heard a faint whisper in the corner.

"Where the hell am I?"

Nathan asks, as he sits up.

His previous wounds that were inflicted on him have healed.

I walked towards him.

A hand stops me from going any further; it's Arthur's hand.

"Who the hell are you?"

Nathan asks.

Arthur walks up to Nathan as he struggles to free himself.

From his restraints, he growls at Arthur.

"Calm down, relax, we are not going to hurt you, Nathan."

Arthur said.

"What the hell did you do to me?"

Nathan asks.

"Hand me the amulet."

Arthur said, turning towards me.

I take it off, laying it in his palms.

Arthur holds it out to Nathan.

"This amulet drained the demon out of you. The woman was named Thorne, she was controlling you, Nathan, influencing all of your actions."

Nathan stares at it, remembering what it means.

"Thorne..."

Nathan says pausing he looks up at Arthur.
