An Even Fight

"Wororororo. For such a young admiral, you sure are cocky" Kaidou said as his Bolo breadth attacked Percy's ship.

Percy absorbed the attack with his darkness and used his new found Poseidon powers to create a tsunami to try knock Kaidou into the ocean. The dragon noticed this, scoffed and flew higher into the sky.

"That attacked means nothing to me" he said as he sent wind blades towards the admiral.

Percy formed a wall made out of water around him and his ship, coated it with haki and smirked at Kaidou provoking the emperor.

"So, it seems like you have a few tricks up your sleeve. So what?"

He again used his Bolo breadth against the shield, but it did little to the water shield. Percy then threw 5 black holes around Kaidou, but he resisted the pull with his armament haki.

"You do have the dark-dark fruit" Kaidou said solemnly.

"I do" Percy agreed.

"It's a shame that we are not fighting on land" Kaidou said as he stared at the island.

"Perhaps, perhaps not" Percy said as darkness started to cover his ship. He pointed towards the sky and pulled a meteor towards the emperor.

Kaidou breathed fire and the meteor exploded into thousands of little pieces of rocks and fell harmlessly into the ocean. He then started unleashed his powers and formed 10 tornadoes an pushed them into Percy's water shield.

Percy looked at the tornadoes and used his control over the sea to try to dispel them, it was successful. He smirked at Kaidou as the former Rocks pirate looked at the admiral with seriousness.

"You are strong" Percy said and he formed countless water sword, coated them with haki and thrust them at Kaidou.

Kaidou couldn't dodge them all, so he decided to take as much of the hit as possible, but the damage was much more than expected and blood trickled out of his mouth.

"Wororororo! It's been a while since I've bled. Let's go again." He then started to channel a larger Bolo breadth.

This time, Percy used Geppo and jumped out of the water shield. He knew that that the shield would break under the next attack. He too sent out his darkness to meet Kaidou's attack halfway. When it did, there was a loud explosion as Percy and Kaidou's hakis clashed with one another.

[This is not even Kaidou's full strength] Percy grimaced thinking about Kaidou's hybrid form. He knew that this is one of his best opportunities to capture the emperor, if not the best chance.

[Let's take the risk.]

Percy broke off the attack and dodged the incoming Bolo breadth, he used his water ability to push the ship out of the way as well. He then started to shift into his zoan form. Kaidou stared in fascination as Percy transformed into a 'god'. When he was done, Kaidou had an excited look on his face and he started to laugh

"Wororororororo, you've been holding back haven't you Kurosai?"

"So have you Kaidou"

"..."

Percy began to attack for real this time. A massive tidal wave started to form and it rushed towards Kaidou.

"I already told you-" Kaidou started before he was cut off when he noticed that black holes were also forming behind him at the same time,

"cheh" Kaidou clicked his teeth before trying to fly towards away.

"Not so fast" Percy said as he used soru and tried to touch Kaidou with his dark filled hand. All he needed to do was brush his hand against Kaidou's skin and he won.

Of course Kaidou knew that and he immediately sent wind blades towards the admiral. Percy absorbed the attack giving the emperor enough time to escape temporarily.

"Hurricane!" Percy shouted as he commanded the winds to obey his call. The clouds started to rotate and the the wind speed increased. Kaidou grimaced and ran away faster.

[Not today, if I fought with my full strength, maybe, but not today], "King!" Kaidou shouted.

"Yes sir!" King said as he tried to take as many crewmembers with him to escape the island.

"Wow admiral, Kaidou couldn't beat you!" Borsalino said with a wide smile on his face.

"True, but that wasn't his full strength" Percy said as he stared at the flying dragon.

"What do you mean?" Sakazuki asked as he finished cleaning up the pirates left behind by the King.

"Kaidou specializes land combat, we fought on the sea, which I excel at. If we fought over an island... that fight would be a lot closer. In addition to that, he just fought with another emperor just before."

"I see" Sakazuki said understanding. "Even so, you shouldn't have any disadvantage right?"

"Your correct. It's just that Kaidou wouldn't be retreating and we would still be fighting, nothing more."

"So what now?" Dragon asked as he finished ordering his men.

"You go back to your duties and I head back to Marineford, I need to sign some paperwork. Attun needs to be accounted for. I believe that whoever captures or kills him would get a lot of merits." Percy said as he looked pointedly at Borsalino and Sakazuki.

They both nodded understanding the message and readied their boats.

"You were close" Sengoku said as he sat next to Percy inside Kong's office in Marineford. Percy just finished recalling his mission to the fleet admiral.

"Yeah, Kaidou is strong, crazy strong. If we fought over land... I need to get stronger."

"That comes with time" Kong said nodding his head. "Your young. Way younger than Kaidou. Don't worry. Anyways, I assume he will be licking his wounds and chasing after Attun for now anyways."

"Should be" Percy said. "Attun has to start from scratch crew wise, so Kaidou should be looking to exploit it. That or Kaidou is looking into refilling his ranks again, we did capture a good chunk of his crew thanks to Borsalino and Sakazuki."

"Where are those three anyways?'" Sengoku asked

"As you know" Percy started, "Borsalino and Sakazuki are in the New world now. I think they are looking for Attun. I hinted to them that they can get merits if they can capture him."

Sengoku and Kong nodded their heads.

"Dragon on the other hand is heading towards North Blue."

"North Blue?" Kong asked confused. "What's there."

"Hopefully nothing. But I'm hearing strange rumors about a certain devil fruit appearing and I need Dragon there to verify if it is true or not."

"Why not have one of the commodores do that for you?" Kong proceeded to ask.

"Apparently, the devil fruit can grant enteral life, so I thought it would be wise to have someone with actual strength go an verify the legitimacy of the claim."

"The ope-ope no mi!" Sengoku exclaimed as he stood up.

"Indeed" Percy said as he still sat on the sofa

"If this is true, then the elders would want their hands on it immediately." Kong said with a serious expression on his face. "Those celestial dragons place the bounty on that fruit at 5 billion belli, for a good reason."

"Well, Dragon is there anyways" Percy said as he thought about his friend's actual purpose, recruiting Doflamingo.
