Maternal Mother

I opened my eyes as I yawned into my hand, I threw off the sheets and went straight to the bathroom.

'That was a good dream for a fic, I should write that down for potential fanfic.'

'Waking up in Viridian forest as a student of Pokemon Tech, its nice, but what would be the plot after that, maybe become a coordinator, I would love that, maybe a battle, that would be cool, but a little cliche,'

'Choosing the fairy type, there is not much to manage, the main ones are in Kanto, Johto, Alolan, and Galar, not much outside legendaries.'

'Since I woke up randomly in Viridian Forest, I'm starting in Kanto then, there are only 4 fairies in Kanto, I would need two placeholders, Kanto has been overrun by poison types, from the grass to ghost types, almost all of them have a side typing of poison, and with Erika using pokes with a side typing of poison and Koga having a pull poison team, Kanto is really the worst region to start in.'

I finished up in the bathroom and head up towards the kitchen, but as I enter I saw my mother cooking.

The absurdity of this situation made me do a double-take, my own mother who was on a completely different continent for the past two years, and always expressing that she would never come back, is in the kitchen, cooking, the fact that she is cooking makes this scene look like complete fantasy.

She noticed my presence as she turned around and greeted me with a smile, "Good Morning honey, you woke up so early, you can sit down around the dining table, everything is already."

She smiled once again as she took off her apron and went towards her room, I was still dumbfounded, but just chose to question everything at a later date.

=---------------------------------------------------------------=

"Wait- What?!"

She looked at me again and said, "You're going to be going on your journey, I can't afford to keep you in Pokemon Tech, either today or tomorrow you won't be able to enter their compound, your grades are so awful that a 5-year-old could out contend you in Pokemon Knowledge."

"I mean, who the hell fails homework, I don't even think there is a way to fail homework, the school has a gigantic library that you can enter free of charge just because you are a student there, and I bet you never once used it."

"You have the best of the best trainers, researchers, breeders, doctors, and etc s teachers, and I bet you never once asked for help in your studies."

"You have a swimming pool, a gym, all kinds of sports, and I bet you have never done one."

"Your class has the best students ever for a beginner class and you still didn't ask for help. you had so many resources some people would die for, and you still didn't use them."

"I know you hate reading, and I know you would love to travel, that's why I took it upon myself to register you for the Oak Starter Giveaway, there are only 3 slots, but there is this one woman with a son who slipped through, make sure to not tell anyone this though."

"So you have to go early or else you would get stuck with nothing, and have to come back being a shame to yourself, even then, don't even bother coming back, no one us would want you here anyway."

"I know how forgettable and unreliable you are so I already packed everything you need in a bag, it's in your room, I bet you didn't even see the bag that you were sleeping beside."

"It has Human Food, Pokefood, 3 sleeping bags, all of your clothes, 3 tents, 1 set of cooking gear, a small table, pokemon bowl, poke-

She went on and on about the things in that bag, truth be told, I did see that bag, but I just assumed it was hers since she had 4 identical looking bags, it was almost my entire body length in size, no matter how stupid it sounds, but it looks cool on whoever wears it.

She talked about going on a Pokemon Journey, either this is a major joke, I'm dreaming again, or I was sent into the Pokemon world, yeah no, this is a joke.

"Mom, I'll be going now," I said while going out the door, intending to go to school.

But as soon as I opened the door, my own breath hitched, the place was completely different, from a house populated area to a rural area.

In the sky, there was a brown bird, but these birds were flying really low, I was used to feeding birds from babies to adult birds in the yard, this was the first time I've ever never seen such a giant brown-colored bird, even the brown colored birds I've seen around this area were tiny, comparable to the size of my palm, but this one was the size of my head, I have no idea how its able to fly with such small wings, even then, it had a red hair... wait, is that a Pidgeotto, no it can't be.

'No, no, no, no, no, no, no...'

My breath paused as my chest kept going up and down, tears weld in my eyes, as my knees started to buckle,

"HU TAO!"
