"So… yeah, you died."

The being made out of light said nonchalantly. If I didn't know that it was his fault that I died I would have never suspected him.

"Can you bring me back?"

"Unfortunately, no."

Crap, I was angry… not only did he kill me, but he is here, sitting leisurely without any care in the world. It was hard to control my emotions but I had to take control or else I don't know what would happen if I lash out.

As pathetic as he looks, a God is still a God. A mere mortal without any power can't do anything about his actions.

"Now, now, I can't directly send you back but I can do it indirectly."

"Hoh?"

I was caught by surprise. I didn't expect this offer to come up. I thought that, like any other unreasonable God, he would just throw me in another world as compensation without even asking the opposite party's opinion about it.

A good deal, considering that he killed me. Albeit accidentally.

Graduating by killing the Demon King, Pedonar. It would, by no means, be easy with my knowledge about that world.

I asked for confirmation. The anger I was feeling earlier subsided. I was still not comfortable knowing that I had died and my killer was in front of me but it was an accident! It could happen to anyone. And the guy seems to be trying to fix his mistakes.

"I never take back my words! I'm sure of it. Also, last question before you go, do you really want to go back to your world?"

"Yes, why? Something wrong?"

"Nothing, It's just your world— That place is a rabbit hole."

Lanuvel… In ancient language, it means 'Truth'. Her name has a deeper meaning behind it but currently, that was none of my business and I don't think it will ever be.

"Let me introduce myself! My name is Lanuvel. I'm an archeologist who received the prophecy on a journey while chasing after the legends and summoned you. Lanuvel means 'Truth' in the ancient language."

Yeah… I already knew about that. It was impossible for me not to know unless I have a bad memory. And I don't have one, rather my memory is top-notch. Not like I could just say that… wait, couldn't the staff read the student's mind?

I made sure they wouldn't be able to pry into your brain, it would give me trouble with my seniors if some lesser world like this one knew it was just a source of entertainment on other worlds. I can't believe I ignored such important detail, which would undoubtedly cause me some major consequences if it was leaked.

I covered my eyes. The sunlight coming from the window Lanuvel opened was brightly shining towards me.

"Sir Hero, his majesty awaits you."

The hallways looked old but it was clean, not even a speck of dust could be noticed. Maids that could easily pass as a top-tier back in my old world could be seen roaming around cleaning the place.

The knight that was escorting me and Lanuvel looked at me with hostility. His face was covered by a helmet but I could tell that it was screaming 'say something disrespectful to the king and I'll kill you.' Not like he could. If he kills me, the hero— will he be the one to slit the Demon King's throat?

And I wasn't planning to be disrespectful in the first place, that would give a huge blow to my grade.

Combat Power, Achievement, Reputation, and lastly Personality. Those were the things I had to look out for if I wanted to graduate.

Combat Power - It should be easy, all I need to do is get a respectable amount of strength.

Achievement - Killing the current king of Elfheim should do the trick, no? Even if I didn't do that, killing the Demon King in less than a month or two will certainly give me a good grade on this subject.

Reputation - Glorifying my name and my status as a Hero will give me an easier time with this subject. I need to control the masses if I want to be sure that I will pass. Easier said than done.

Personality - The easiest. They want a delusional madman who is Brave and Kind(Obedient and Horny.) So I would need to put up an act.

All of that was easier said than done, it's like playing Hardcore mode while being a complete newbie. I wasn't a regressor like Kang Han Soo but I have an advantage over him— God said that he would increase my talent, the problem is I don't know how much exactly.

I felt a heavy burden put on my shoulder, it was like someone placed a heavy boulder over it. Fear ran through my body causing my spine to tingle. I almost wet my pants but I forced myself to calm down.

If I remember correctly— Alex is weak to compliments and I could get on his good side using that tactic, but I shouldn't praise him because of his looks or status. That would only bring his wrath.

"Splendid killing intent! I could tell that you are a fine swordsman, sir."

"You flatter me, Hero. I can tell that you yourself will be a fine warrior with training. Haha!"

I wasn't good at compliments but I'm glad it worked. Judging the way he treated me and how he treated Kang Han Soo, I would say that I'm on his 'Nice guy' list.

Alex patted my back. This damn— Wait, wait, I need to hold back. It would have been fine if it was just light taps but no, it felt like someone was hammering my back with a Sledge Hammer.

Oi, oi, Isn't my skills rising too fast-!? The Hero profession gives me 500% experience but this is just absurd. Is this the work of the 'talent' God was talking about? Plus 5 times.

"No. It's fine, Lanuvel." I stopped Lanuvel from speaking any further. I cracked my back and returned Alex's 'love' taps.

Repeating an action several times will lead to it turning into a skill but that clearly wasn't the case for me… at least not the 'several times' part.

And if you have enough proficiency, the skill rank will rise. That will result in the skill's efficiency and power increasing.

"Well then, It was nice meeting you Mr.Alex but we need to go meet the king."

"After you meet the king go to the Palace training ground, I, Palace Knight-Captain Alex will wait for you there!"

There— He would test my current skills. If I can't 'survive' for longer than 10 seconds then he would train me for a year. I don't have that much time, my goal is to graduate in less than a month. Staying cooped up inside a castle for a year is a big no-no.

That's… a big door. The two guards standing at the sidelines moved and pushed the door allowing us to enter.

A magnificent red carpet was laid on the ground, it was clean as heck. And on the other end was the King sitting on his throne, on his side was the Queen, Princes, and Princesses.

Nobles were gathered at the left and right sides of the Throne Room. They were being protected by a bunch of Palace Knights holding a spear as their weapon of choice.

"Is that the Hero?"

"He looks weak."

"Doesn't he look kinda cute?"

"Rather than cute, he looks hot."

That was unexpected. Some nobles were doubting my status but some of them were also admiring my looks… mostly the Noble Ladies.

I wasn't narcissistic but I do admit that I'm rather handsome. Jet-black hair, Yellow eyes, and smooth healthy white skin.

My muscles weren't toned, neither do I have scars. I could see why some doubted my status as a 'Hero' but I'm just newly summoned, can't they understand that…? Never mind, I'm expecting too much from these barbaric brutes.

My body moved by itself, fixing my posture. If earlier I looked like I didn't know what I was doing this time it turned into decent.

Murmurs arose within the crowd. And the girls here… were hornier? All I did was show some etiquette yet almost half of the Noble Ladies were blushing.

"Silence! Hero. Can you see your abilities?"

The king that looked like a dumpling asked me. I didn't need to be on his good side, after all, I knew that he would die sooner or later.

And of course, my race is Arch-Human, the universal race of heroes!

What a noisy reaction. Well, I could somewhat understand it. Regardless of talent, I could grow 5 times faster than anybody else. It's the cheat of Heroes from the legends.

If you didn't get it, It's like this— 5 hours of work from somebody without the Hero Job I could do in an hour with the same amount of effort and skills the other party used.

Cool, right? It doesn't specifically work like that but it was just an example.

"That's amazing, Sir Hero!"

"Yeah…"

Lanuvel started circling me— She was acting cute which… greatly annoyed me. She reminded me of someone I hated back in my world.

"Chosen Hero! Crisis is upon this country which lies near the demon territory! After killing the demons and raising your skill, defeat the Demon King Pedonar!"

The dumpling king started shouting and decided to boss me around… I had to hold it in… but I will remember this, I don't like getting bossed around.

Not to mention that even if I asked for financial support, he would refuse. I already know at least 3 ways to get financial backing but 2 out of the 3 involves risking my grades.

Lanuvel guided me to the place I would stay at.

She left telling me that she would come to pick me up in 30 minutes. Until then, I have quite a lot of free time.

I was tired, not physically but mentally.

A series of unbelievable things happened to me in less than an hour. My brain is having a hard time taking in all this information, rest would be nice. But I knew I had no time for that If I wanted to graduate in a month.

I also noticed a major flaw. The morals of a cultured citizen from a civilized city in the modern era aren't fit for this world.

For that, I have to adapt. It would be temporary but I'm gonna change my ways. It can't happen instantaneously because I wanted it to but that's fine.

Back to getting financial support, my plan would be… seducing the Queen. I was a 16-year-old teen at the peak of his youth, a.k.a I wasn't confident. I never had any interest in that kind of thing so this would be my first time attempting this.

Ah! This would've been much easier if I had Dark Energy.

If I go now, would I still make it? I'm talking about when Sylvia and Archer E got attacked. If I remember correctly they were attacked near a wheat field and the only possible way for me to save them would be to use the Dumpling Kingdom's resources or… be strong.

Yep, it's a maid. I checked her status and she wasn't an assassin. It was rather odd, why would they send a maid after I'm occupying the room?

A light blush was visible on her face. This was unbearable, I had no interest in any of this. I just wanted to take this moment to give my mind some time to process everything.
