Chapter 8 Time flies

*Important - Before we start this chapter, I know nothing about the military system, this chapter is for MC's character development and raising MC's status in the industry. I don't know if it's possible or true so don't take this too seriously.

Somewhere in the world, XXX HQ

"Sergeant Ji Hoon, you sure you don't wanna reconsider?"

"Yes sir! This will be my last mission."

"Sigh... what a waste, if you chose to stay, you might even take my position when I'm gone."

"Looks like you are going to be holding on to that position a little longer sir."

...

"Well? What are you waiting for? Get your ass out of here and go finish your mission sergeant."

"Yes sir!"

It's been two and a half years since Ji Hoon joined the military. During his first trial, he achieved outstanding scores in shooting, combat, mental strength and physical endurance, he then got assigned to the special forces.

For some reason, Ji Hoon was always at the right place and the right time, there had been some dangerous missions Ji Hoon participated in, but he always completes his mission. Some say it's luck, some say it's skill, but he himself thought it might be the perk of a reincarnated person.

Due to the successful missions, he climbed the ranks quickly. Right now, Ji Hoon has one last mission before getting discharged from the military.

He went back to his quarter, looks into the mirror, throughout his time in the force, he grew taller (187cm), his skin turned darker and he also became more muscular. He took a shower, and before he goes to sleep, he prepares the equipment needed for the upcoming mission.

A week later, at the same place when Ji Hoon was enlisted, accompanied by the same officer who brought him in, they are chatting inside of the gate.

"Things have changed so much in two years, sergeant Ji Hoon. Do you mind give me an autograph? Sign it right here." The officer points at a blank space beside the signed album (Soo Yeon's) that Ji Hoon gave him some time ago.

"Of course, it's my pleasure!" Ji Hoon said so with a bright smile on his face.

"Your family and friends are here. I wouldn't want to take up your time any longer. Congratulations on your discharge sergeant, now go out and show what you are made of!"

"Yes sir!" After saluting to the officer, Ji Hoon steps out the gate, and he sees the sight that he has been dreaming about for two years and a half. He ran towards his family in joy and embraces three of them.

"I'm back..."

"Yes you are, and we are proud of you." His dad says that while his mom just keeps holding his face.

"Oppa jjang(you are amazing)~" Soo Yeon jumps on his back and clings on him like a panda.

"Well you certainly gotten heavier... and prettier too." Ji Hoon quickly changes his words after receiving a deadly stare from Soo Yeon. "A little feistier too... (ﾟωﾟ;)" Ji Hoon secretly thought to himself.

Meanwhile, the trainee gang is here too, there are a few new but familiar faces.

"Hmm, the legendary group is complete. Good thing the recruitement department decided to listen to my advices (for example locations, traits etc) before I joined the military."

"You must be Yeon Tae, I've heard that you are one of the best vocalist among the trainees."

"Thank you sunbaenim, but I still have a long way to go."

"You are Young Mi then, just like Cassie, you are from Carli. Try learning the Colrean language as soon as possible from your friends here, you are gonna need it."

"I will, thank you sunbaenim!"

"And you are Kyu Sun, I've heard you have a knack of bringing smiles to those around you, thanks for cheering up the mood for them."

"I was just being myself, but thank you sunbaenim! ^^"

"How do you know all of them so well?" Soo Yeon asks her brother.

"What can I say? I have my sources." Ji Hoon answers slyly.

Soo Yeon looks at him like 'Are you a stalker?'

...

Ehem...

"Anyway, we can catch up later, I wanna go home now, it's been two years!"

"Looks just the same as before..."

Ji Hoon is currently in his room looking at the surroundings.

He notices his guitar leaning by his bed, he picks it up and started playing it.

"Looks like I've gotten a little rusty, needs some time to get back on feet."

During his time in the military, he ocassionally singed for the squad, but he never played any instruments.

And so Ji Hoon's room is filled with music the whole night, but every member of the family is happy about it.
