Influencing the youths 2

The screams lasted for three minutes before Ren figured it was enough and stopped.

The boy on the other hand was on the floor curled into a ball shaking immensely, whether it was from the fear or the cold night air was very clear seeing that a fire was present.

Ren seeing the current state of the boy, left him to catch himself, lf as he returned his gaze to the night sky.

About an hour later the boy had managed to pull himself together and stand to face Ren, only this time the look in his eyes and the intention to attack were no longer present.

In fact just from the wariness in his eyes and his body language, one could tell the boy was very much afraid of the man before him, if he thought he could escape from Ren he would have long since run away, but the little lesson Ren had though him earlier had worked.

The fear he felt right now was too strong for him to attack Ren, and he could still think clearly enough to know he couldn't escape and was at Ren's mercy, so he just stayed quiet and waited for Ren to act.

Bringing his gaze from the sky Ren focused on the boy standing before him and spoke.

"So what's your name?"

"...."

The boy was hesitant to answer but did anyway.

"Renji." he said in a small voice.

"Mhm I see, so tell me why did you kill those villagers?"

"Why not kill them?" Renji asked.

Hearing this question Ren was even more interested in the story behind this boy.

"Oh, do you have some kind of grudge against them, or did you do it because you could?" Ren asked choosing not to answer the boy's question.

" ..." The boy stared at Ren silently.

And as Ren thought he wasn't going to answer and he would have to teach him another lesson the Renji spoke.

" Wouldn't you do the same, if these people hated your clan and called them demons refusing to trade with them leaving them to suffer and die?" asked Renji.

" I would." with no hesitation, Ren answered truthfully.

"...." A shocked expression appeared on the boy's face as he either didn't expect that answer or wasn't expecting it that fast.

" you look surprised by my answer." says Ren.

" I am, it seemed like you did t approve of me killing those people." Renji said.

" Kid if I cared about their life I would have stopped from killing them in the first place, if people hate you and act in ways that are detrimental to you, they are your enemies and they deserve nothing else but death." says Ren.

Hearing this Renji's eyes shined as he looked at Ren he could tell Ren meant every word he said.

"But you are foolish." said Ren and from his tone of voice, anyone would be surprised, if you didn't know any better you wouldn't know you were just insulted.

Renji stood there shocked, at the sudden change before he became embarrassed and then angry.

" What do you mean I'm foolish, you said you would do the same so are you a fool also, you are the only fool here insulting yourself." Renji spoke angrily.

Ren wasn't at all bothered by what he said, as he spoke again.

" I said you are foolish, and you can't even realize why I say this, it just enforces what I just said." says Ren.

Without giving Renji a chance to speak Ren continues.

" You see there is one main difference between the two of us, and that is what makes you a fool and me, not one, and that difference is strength.

You see I have the strength to do that, and take revenge if needed, but you on the other hand all you're doing is killing people who don't really matter and will just cause more problems and maybe even the destruction of your clan." says Ren slowly and smoothly so the boy could understand.

Hearing Ren's words instead of getting angry this time Renji actually calms down and asks Ren to explain.

" How would what I'm doing lead to the destruction of my clan?" asked Renji

" You still can't see it? But fine I'll explain truth be told your clan wouldn't have much to fear from the land of hot water, but with your attitude I'm guessing you would go to one of the freak villages next to continue your little killing spree, most likely Kumo, thinking killing the civilians would be revenge, but all that would do is shine a light on your clan who have been forgotten with time, and seeing that there are people in your clan that still hate Kumo, the Raikage wouldn't hesitate to wipe the Chinoike clan from existence, all because you acted foolish shine a light on them." says Ren
