Chapter 30: A Comforting Thought

---------- Richard’s Office, Main Building

Richard was currently harboring a major headache as he continued to listen to his immature, relentless cousin Terrence on the other side of the phone.

Terrence was from his mother’s side and, much like Richard, grew up in the corporate world with him. However, Terrence was much younger and much more prone to irrational decisions than Richard was.

That immaturity explained the current situation Richard now found himself in, as he listened to his cousin’s criticism of lowering the stocks of his company by a slightly smaller amount than what was agreed upon.

“Does your mother know you did this?” Terrence asked, and Richard could almost see the boastful look on his cousin’s face. He thought the mention of his mother would trigger Richard into a defensive state.
