Chapter 6 ~ Glitchtrap

As I stood up after a minute, I looked at my surroundings. It was nighttime, and I was in the middle of a road in a forest full of dark green trees. "Well, that was one heck of a landing. Now the first thing I should do is check my inventory or something -"

Wait. How the heck do I open an inventory? I looked down, and saw that I was wearing a red shirt that had black armour on it, and I wore black combat boots, but I didn't have any sword on me, not even a kitchen knife. "Crap..I should've asked that voice or at least they could've bothered showing me a manual....I don't even know which direction should I go to since I just started this game.

Well, I'll just go to any random person and ask about how should I open my menu -"

The moment I said that, a window appeared with a little "clink" Infront of me, and I got startled. The window was different from ones I saw when I created my avatar. There were two shapes; one of them was a bright blue circle and it had five buttons inside of it, and the other shape was a vertical rectangle, which had the picture of my avatar, along with my in-game profile under it.

I looked at them, and it looked like this:

Name: Seven

Race: Elf

Level: 1

Class: Archer

Stats:

STR: 10

AGI: 10

MAG: 10

VIT: 10

RAN (Range): 10

MOB (Mobility): 10

DEF: 10

I read all of the following as normal until I jerked my eyes towards the 'Race' and 'Class'. I touched my ears to confirm what the menu just said, and they felt long ...and pointy - meaning that I am a real Elf. Plus:

How. The. Hell is my class Archer? I could've sworn I chose Swordsman. And that damn AI or whatever didn't say ANYTHING about races. I wasn't gonna file a complaint though; I saw the release date on the of the CD, and it said that it got released around 2 weeks ago, which means there could be bugs in this game. Well, shit. I checked my "Weapon Storage" and found my starter weapon: a long, wooden bow. Once I put the bow behind my back, a dagger also appeared in my waist. I took the dagger out, and it looked like an exact, but deadlier, version of a kitchen knife. Now after the little 'mishap', the next sensible thing to do is to go to a town nearby, so I don't get attacked by monsters or players alike.

I spoke: "Menu", then the blue window popped up again. I kept pressing button after button until I found in my menu another button that read "Map". I pressed on it, and the whole menu changed into a well-designed map. I found a red dot that read "Me", so I zoomed and found where I was. I was in the "Black Forest", it also read that it was filled with monsters from....level 5 to level 10-

There was an arrow under the area I was in, so I clicked on it, and it read:

"Warning: The monsters in this area often ambush players if they don't keep moving for long. It is recommended to-" then the whole menu glitched. "What the -". Then, the whole forest started to glitch out of control, but I somehow was able to stay on my feet as normal. Then, there were weirdly shaped black-and-purple creatures started to appear, and there was something growing on their heads; which were.....long, and tall ears? I don't care about these rabbit knockoffs are, I looked to my right; which didn't have any of the black and purple rabbits, and ran to that side. I kept running no matter how deafening the glitch noises the forest was making, and I'm pretty damn sure those rabbits are following me, but I didn't turn back anyway.

*****

I started to become tired, and after a few minutes, the glitching stopped, but when I turned back, some of the rabbits that were following me weren't anywhere to be seen; instead, there was a human with yellow skin, and similarly colored hair styled into a small ponytail, along with a purple streak in his bangs. He wore a purple vest and yellow pants. But the weird thing is .... that person had tall, fluffy ears on top of his head....and his hands were glitching a bit. He spoke in a British accent: "Hello there, Seven."

I replied, taking out my knife: "Who and what are you? And how do you know my name?"

When I used the menu a while ago, I was checking my skill tree and purchased some skills with "AP" (Abilitiy Points), since the number of points were only 5. One of the skills I bought was called 'Peeping', which allowed me to read other player's stats. I spoke the word Peeping in my mind to see if it works (it said so in the description), but nothing happened.

The bunny chuckled, then said: "You must be using the passive Archer skill, 'Peeping', right? That's not good to spy on people, no, no". He said it with twisting his finger in a small circle, grinning playfully, as I stared daggers at him.

Now this guy is just asking me to punch him. Forget it. There's no point in fighting an idiot anyway. I opened my menu and went to the settings and-.....

"No way....what the hell ...?" I spoke, in a small, shivering voice. The logout button....it isn't there.
