He and his life

Waking up the next day, Adelard found himself surrounded by flowers and plants. Lying on the soft blanket, he slowly opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was the old face of a woman who was reading a book. When he was fully awake, it was as if he had found new life. And when his gaze stopped on the sunlight, he closed his eyes with a smile.

"Awake?!" the elderly woman asked.

"Thank you. Thank you for everything," Adelard said, not wanting to get up.

"I did everything. And it's all good now. And when it's okay, you can forget about it," the woman said, holding out the glass of milk to him.

"Here, take it. You need your strength."

Standing up, Adelard took a sip of the warm milk. Consciousness returned to him. His heart remembered how to beat again. Now he could clearly see the woman in front of him.
