Chapter 35 (ARC 1)

Moments after Team Titans disappears through the portal, you can see a police armored truck driving with its siren and lights turned on. The cars leave the road of the truck, not wanting to expose the transport to a robbery in order to free the prisoner. It rushes at maximum speed.

Inside the truck, leaning against the wall opposite the door, lies a supervillain leaning against the wall. Which, amid incomprehensible gibberish, curses Ronin's name. It lasts for a good few minutes, exactly until the effect of the Wade Weapon's weight stops working. And Brother Blood falls to his knees and starts reciting some spell that surprisingly works. However, at the expense of what could be seen was blood pouring out of all the holes in his body.

(Brother Blood)-....Ahuwu sod wo Trigon...Ahhhh.....

Brother collapsed, aching, and struggled to raise his face. To look at the translucent portal levitating in front of him. However, the blood pouring out of his eyes damaged his eyesight quite badly. So in constant agony, Brother Blood heard only one sentence from his master.

(Trigon)-You are useless to me in such a state....

After these words were spoken by the interdimensional demon, the portal closed and Brother Blood collapsed on his knees, hitting his head quite hard against the floor of the truck trunk.

(Brother Blood)-RONINNN!!!

Meanwhile, at the Teen Titans headquarters.

After the successful action, all present members are waiting in the dining room for dinner eaten by Star. And the only person you can guess is Wade. Most of the Tamarian cuisine is torture for the Titans. However, Wade had a taste for this cuisine for some reason. The peculiarity of the samku, the richness of the aroma that he has not yet encountered. Exceptional flavor combinations, and visual peculiar images, such as a bloody goulash that looked like real blood with additives.

The system who cooks is as follows. This is basically the order where every generation is cooking. And the person who returns from the mission goes to the end of the queue. When it was Wade's turn, he cooked a dish from his native country from the fact that it was Sunday. Wade cooked broth and breaded potatoes with chicken for the main course. And surprisingly, he did quite well, but it didn't beat what Star cooked for her friends today.

They were all sitting around the dining room table now, part of the main Titans team. Except for Star and Grayson who set plates together, covered with a metal cover, in front of the companions sitting at the table. BeastBitch hasn't come back so far, but as you can see, nobody even remembers about him. Because everyone is more afraid of what Star has cooked for them right now.

Wade, sitting next to Raven, at the edge of the couch, looks expectantly at the plate in front of him. And feeling a slightly metallic smell, and a slightly hint of mint and something similar to the smell of chicken meat. Wade sees Star going to get the last plate, and Wade can't wait. While hiding, she tries to slightly open the lid over the plate. One man runs a green beam between the plate and his hand. And Wade in the thick of surrender puts his hands up.

(Star)-Friend. My heart is happy, because i see your appetite makes incredibly big for tamarian food. However, wait until we are all seated so that we can eat this dish together. My Friend.

Star said as she turned around smiling as she had almost reached the kitchen and was about to pick up the last plate. After Wade's admonition, Star took the plate and sat down with it between Grayson and Donna. And then she said.

(Star)-Today my dear friends would like to present the Tamarian dish that we used to cook during the day when all 5 Tamarian moons are full. The dish is called "The Tears of the Goddess Kar'zoret." This dish is related to the story of the war that the Tamarians won but suffered a huge loss. Unfortunately, I will have to order the book from my uncle and I promise friends that I will tell you about it as soon as it is done. I will get.

After Star had finished the sentence, Wade quickly handed over the sheet of text. Throwing it at Grayson's head, and he quickly opened it. And, quoting what was written in it, he said to Star.

(Grayson)-Star. I can not wait. Apparently, better knowledge of the history of the dish will allow us to enjoy the dish better. So if you want, maybe we can go to the Martian Hunter together, I have some time, and besides, I wanted to order a book on Tamarian martial arts. But tell me more about the dish, I'm really curious.

Before Star burst into joy, Grayson gave Wade a thumbs-up with a smile. Which caused Wade to lightly slap his forehead. For Dick's happiness, Star was too busy bursting with joy to convince Grayson to be reading like a robot from a sheet of paper.

(Star)-Yes.Yes...Dick. It's a great idea. Tamarian martial arts are amazing. And I am glad that you are interested in my home world. After lunch, we can go to my uncle and order. First my friends, please take your plates off.

When the Titans removed the covers from their plates, the sight they saw was unusual. It was a pure silver-colored soup, and the liquid in the plate was very thick, and even after stirring the spoon in the plate the color remained purely silver. Bits of bone floated inside the soup as if someone were examining it with their eyes. But they were really some kind of plant that only looked like bits of bone. And their taste, despite their hard skin, contained a slightly acidic juice on the inside. And the taste of the soup itself was slightly metallic, but there was something like a slight mint, as Wade had guessed earlier. But there was a slight hint of sweetness, and the taste of the soup was hard to compare to any earthly dish.

And once again, most Titans look at Wade first. Who eats an exotic dish with samkiem. Especially Bumblebee who sees for the first time that someone is eating Star's cuisine. And not as most either force themselves or get rid of the food out of Star's sight.

When Wade is half of the first soup. Raven who looks shocked once again at Wade asks him. But so that only he can hear.

(Raven)-How can it taste for you? Even as a half demon, I can't eat more than half a spoon.

Wade picks up the plate to his hands and drinks it all to the bottom. He then turns to Raven and smiles, talking.

(Wade)-Honestly, I have two theories. Tamarians live in harder conditions than we do on earth. And because of their climate, their taste pores are different. On the other hand, thanks to the magic and fusion training, I was able to toughen the body and adapt the taste piles and the body to eat Tamarian dishes. Or I have some strange taste for food. Or I have a black hole like Goku. are three possibilities.

(Raven)-Hehe...Did magic training really change you like that?

(Wade)-Honestly, yes and no. Before that, I had no reason to live. I was living day by day without thinking about the future. I was slowly getting depressed from loneliness and boredom of life. However, magic gave me an impulse to act. You know it or not, but even something as small as the possibility of creating a fireball. It can give a person a spark to act. Then magic became what drives, everything else. I started training martial arts, researching magic. Until I finally met Grayson, and he introduced me to you. And I found a purpose to live and not be dead while alive. So far, so if it weren't for magic. I would still be alone, with no future.

Wade kept looking Raven in the eye during this moment of honesty. And she was listening carefully, and after Wade was done she also decided to share what magic was to her.

(Raven)-That magic has always been me since I can remember. As a half demon from birth, I had magic. And most of my life I was afraid of her, I hated her. I thought magic was bad, that I couldn't have a happy life because of it. And if it hadn't been for the priestesses of Azarath, I would still have thought so, and as a result, never got here. And Trigon would have conquered this world long ago.

(Wade)-I get it to some extent. As a Half Demon, you had a mane from birth with an affinity for demonic magic or shadow magic. However, I understand. And if I can. I mean, people shouldn't take what they have as bad. Just because they got it from some demonic parent, or they had to eat a hair from some blonde strongman to gain power. Remember that it can be disastrous to refuse something for its origins. And burying your other half can make you stronger, so don't just use ice. But master the fire and get stronger.

Raven's expression was complicated, her mind was confused. However, the references Wade used. They helped her approach the subject better or more gently. And she began to consider trying to master her other half.

(Wade)-And don't worry. You have me, and I've already figured out ways to deal with Demonic magic. So you can count on me.

Raven just looked up with a slight smile and said.

(Raven)-Thanks.

After which Raven herself started ... tried to eat Tamarian soup. And Wade was already pouring the second plate.
