Chapter 46: That Night

Argon went early in the morning to Kevin's office to finalize Luna's departure from the agency.

True to his words last night, Kevin was there sitting on his swivel chair, in front of him is the brown envelope containing Luna's request for contract termination, this will be a huge blow to the company but he got no choice.

It was his fault that everything went down to this, he just have to face the consequences of his action.

After their encounter last night, he have given a thorough thought the things that he have done, he can't deny that he indeed was wrong.

"I hope you don't change your mind Kevin for this to be easier for everyone" Argon stated as soon as he entered his office.

"Can't you sit down first? Maybe we could talk this out again"

"No need, I just need the papers and process them, you can make the announcement right away, we will accept what ever decisions their endorsements and programs will decide on, whether they follow Luna or stay with Viewbay" then Argon gave another piece of envelope to Kevin.

"That is a signed affidavit from Luna that they are giving up their royalties and rights on all their albums, singles and projects they have done until today" then he got the signed papers from Kevin's table even before he change his mind, "Faux said that you can send the contract termination fee to him and I won't be getting my severance pay" After seeing that it is complete with sign and seal, he returned it again to the brown enveloped.

"Thank you Kevin for making the right decision, Be well" then he turned his back to his brother.

"Is she okay?" after all Argon have said, he just wanted to know Mia's whereabouts "Is she back?"

Argon just felt pity for his brother, it was as clear as the sky how he loves Mia but what he did was the opposite of loving someone, Kevin have let himself drown in jealousy causing him to lose sight of the person he loves and hurting her.

"She's fine" he cannot let somebody else knows the situation that Mia is currently in "she went home last night"

Then silence once again prevailed between the two, they don't know what to say to each other, after what happened last night have both scarred them, but it was long over due. It was a good thing that Argon said what he wanted to said to his brother, he just hopes that it will for the better.

"The kids don't want to disclose the reason why they are leaving Viewbay, they think it is unnecessary to let the public know about our personal problems, they also don't want to bother the other artist under the agency" Argon just hopes that Kevin understands all of this.

"Thank you for everything, I will be leaving for some time, I'll be leaving the company to Timmy after announcing Luna's departure from the agency" then Kevin stood up and hugged his younger brother "I'm sorry for this mess, I'm sorry for hurting everyone"

"Where are you going?"

"Just some place to clear my mind, don't worry I don't plan on doing something to my life, I still need to pay for my sins" Kevin tried to lighten the atmosphere and Argon picked that up.

"Good thing to hear, update me from time to time" then Argon thought that Kevin might be able to start fixing up his mess.

"Kevin"

"Yes?"

"About Her Last Memories?" then Argon looked directly to Kevin's eyes "can you return that to Mia as well?"

Kevin froze on Argon's request to him, as far as he knows no one else knows about the manuscript aside from him, Terrence and Mia, he was a sweating bullet when he heard his brother mention that film.

"I don't know what you mean" he tried to denied the fact but Argon won't buy it, seeing how stoic his brother have became, he can only laugh at his brother and to himself for thinking that he still have a chance to change.

"Just make sure you won't back out from your words earlier Kevin, I might not show it but we both know what I can also do. We share the same blood" then he went to the door but before he leave "I'll be waiting for the announcement today" then he went out of the office.

Right after Argon left his office, he dialed Lauren Culls number

"Hello?"

"Lauren"

"Well I haven't heard from you since our last conversation"

"Someone else knew about the manuscript"

"What are you talking about Kevin?"

"Another person aside from Mia and Terrence knew about the manuscript of Her Last Memories" after that, the line went silent and none of them are speaking.

After sometime Lauren have managed to compose her self from shock. She knows that this will be a big issue if this information will go on public.

This will destroy her.

"I thought this is already a settled matter? Didn't Mia Lee even do the original score of the film?"

"I have no idea how this got out also" Kevin can only think that Terrence have already talked to Argon or Mia have finally talked to the rest of Luna.

The only fact that he knows is that Argon knows about the manuscript and it is not a good thing.

"We can't do anything about this, we can only wait on what they will do about it, and if we are the fist one to make a move this will only prove that you are indeed guilty" Kevin advised Lauren.

He really didn't want to give the manuscript to Lauren but after a mistake that they did that night, which was the only way he could shut her up is giving her what she wanted and she manage to see that script on his bedroom

"Just give this to me. In exchange of this night" then she just wore her clothes and kissed Kevin goodbye.
