Chapter 76: Regrets

Fleeting regrets...

It was an awful morning for Terrence, he wanted to believe that everything that he have saw last night was just nightmare that would go away once he opened his eyes, but that wasn't the case.

In front of him is the same scenario at a different setting. Mia and Lance are together again. Lance is following Mia while she is doing her work, she was trying to shrug him off but Lance just kept on following her and he can see that Mia doesn't mind being bothered at all, which irritates him more.

"You might kill him at this rate" Max tapped him at his shoulders and entered the green room. They are currently here at HGN for a shoot. Terrence just entered the green room next to Max and tried to calm himself. He needs to concentrate or else he won't be able to finish the day peacefully.

Regret, Irritation and Jealousy are emotions that shouldn't mix.

Ian and Faux are feeling the aura that Terrence is emitting. Max can only sigh at the situation.

Those two are not aware of the happenings last night.

He couldn't even get a blink of sleep after witnessing that moment Mia and Lance are coming out of work together. Mia was smiling that reaches her eyes. Moments that he could only recall.

Back then, they would always walk together. It was what they considered their precious time. Having each other side by side and talking everything that they could talk about.

Nothing special was happening, nothing grand but it was more than enough, because he knew that Mia was only looking at him

And Mia is the only person that he could see.

"10 minutes till standby time" the Production Assistant reminded them of the time which interrupted Terrence's trains of thoughts. "Please follow me to the studio".

Ian was the first one to stand up then followed by the two, then Terrence was the last one to get out of the green room. His aura is still as murderous as it could get, he is not in a state to appear in a TV Show.

The moment he stepped inside the studio, his dark aura went even darker.

Mia was currently checking all of the microphones and studio speakers and Lance was looking at her with all admiration and love.

Love...

He knows...

Because it is the same look that he have looking at her. The feeling of contentment and ease.

Faux was able to pick up the situation when his eyes also landed at Lance looking at Mia. He immediately looked at Terrence who is already ready to murder someone. He went near to Terrence and covered his eyes.

"You need to get a hold of yourself Terrence." then he let go "This is not the time for you to indulge with your emotions. Let's finish this gig first then you do what you need to do."

Faux gave Terrence some time to calm himself, he understand what is going through in Terrence's mind. It's not easy to see someone you love being close to another man.

He knows exactly how it feels but Terrence need to get a hold of himself before he do something that he knows that he would regret afterwards.

"You okay now?"

Terrence just nodded in response, and went inside, looking at Mia then to Terrence he could just sigh at the frustration that the situation at hand.

All of them just wanted to see them being happy. Together or not.

"Thank you for the day"

Mia then finished again another day. She stretched her arms as she goes out of the HGN building. It is a good day for her, ever since she had learned about her condition, she have been thankful for each day that she could spend whatever happens that day.

It is also one of the rare days that she could get out while the sun is still up. Working at a broadcasting company and working as a Technical staff they usually comes in while the sun is still down and comes home after dark.

She just decided that day to just take a walk and enjoy the dying sun.

Terrence wanted to talk to Mia after her work that day. But he doesn't know what time would she go home. It had always been unpredictable. He just took his chances and drove back to HGN.

And as if he came at the right time, he saw Mia going out of the building stretching her arms and locked her eyes at the sun.

It was nearing sunset, the sun kissed her skin like a mother gently caressing her new born child. It is evident in her face the satisfaction of the warmth entering her body. She looked so beautiful.

Terrence couldn't interrupt Mia and approach her. He knows for sure that he would just spoil the moment.

When Mia decided to take a walk, he just went and also followed her. As weird as it seems but he is satisfied despite the distance between the two of them. It was as if they were back to the way it was, silently walking together.

As they both walk together apart, he kept on looking at her, trying to fight the urge to approach her. He should be satisfied at the moment but something inside him kept on telling him that he needs to do what he needs to do or else he would eventually run out of time.

They are already near Constellation when his phone rang which got the attention of Mia and looked behind her. Their eyes both locked and he saw how Mia's expression stiffened.

'Oh shit'

He was already expecting to hear something from Mia but she just sighed and turned her back and entered Constellation without a word.

Stunned, he just stood there and watched her back as she went inside. A part of him was confused but it gave it him more hope.

Hope that there's a chance for them once again.
