Chapter 75: Sequence

For everything to be achieve the way you planned and hoped for there is a certain sequence that you need to be satisfied, like a checklist you need to accomplish.

Like what happened to Terrence, everything is a mess.

All he can do at that moment was to watch the woman he loves walk away from him like how he walked away from her 4 years ago.

That was the start, it was what separated the two of them.

"What should we eat? I should choose something expensive" Lance then playfully skipped around Mia and Mia also responds to his antics.

"Yah! Did you left some money with me?!" then both of them chased each other while laughing like kids.

"Mia" it was all he can do right now, call out her name in the wind, a call that would never reach her.

"Aunt Rise!"

Mia brought Lance to the eatery that she always goes, Aunt Rise then went and hit her in the back.

"This brat! Why didn't you keep in touch?!"

Mia just laughed at Aunt Rise's statement and starts ordering food.

"I'll treat you somewhere nice on pay day but for now let's eat here" Mia sounded excited that Lace can only smile sweetly at her.

It is nice to see her cheerful and smiling face. "I've been going here since college"

"Since college? so all members of Luna are regulars here?" Lance asked in curiosity.

"Nope! I accidentally found this place after ditching the studio tour for HGN when I was a freshman" then Mia started setting up the table. "I liked the food and Aunt Rise became a second mother to me"

"Can I ask why?" Lance looked at Mia earnestly, he's not expecting an answer but he just wanted to ask it anyway.

"Hmmn… It's actually nice to have a place where I don't have a connection with them, I realized that 4 years ago, I'm pretty sure you already know my messed up story" then Mia just chuckled at her last statement, "Back in college, I decided to take a different program than them, I don't exactly know why but I have an idea that I need to have a different life aside from Luna, we have been together all our lives so I was feeling that I am starting to loose myself, that Mia Lee would be remembered as part of that group of friends"

"That's why you still worked at HGN and decided to focus behind the scene?"

"Not exactly, I love performing with them. I love being with them, if what happened 4 years ago didn't happen, I swear to you that I am standing with them on stage but it isn't what the fate dictates, maybe I'm to selfish" then Mia laughed again as if it was nothing.

"Here's your favorites, eat a lot" their talk was interrupted by Aunt Rise, she brought out all of Mia's favorite food, Lance also thanked her for the food.

"Let's eat" then Mia started eating but Lance kept on staring at her.

"You're too hard on yourself, Mia"

Mia just looked up to him and smiled softly "I know" then she continued eating.

Lance then changed the topic and made sure that the atmosphere become light again.

One thing is for sure to Lance, Luna had become a wound that Mia would never close up nor cure.

He feels pained and worried but knowing Mia, there is nothing he can do for her.

'All I can do for her is let her do what she wants and be with her'

Terrence went home that night hanging his head low.

What he saw tonight really struck him to the heart, he knows that it isn't the end yet but he can't help but be disheartened.

For the past 4 years, all he wants is to make Mia happy again, but he realized that Mia being happy isn't enough. Everybody can call him selfish but he wants to be the reason for that smile.

For Mia's happiness.

He is perfectly aware that he already missed his timing. Sometimes waiting is not really an option.

Max then went out of the door and saw Terrence just standing outside their apartment

"Yah! Why do you want to stay in front of the house so much?" Terrence then snapped out of his train of thoughts.

"Sorry, I was just thinking of something" Max just stared at him, he can only sigh at the misery of his friend. Max watched the two of them form the very beginning. All of them know how much they both loved each other.

"Stop saying sorry Terrence, it's becoming your habit to say sorry" Terrence can only laugh at Max comment to him.

"You're right" then he let out a long sigh, "It just feels like I always have to apologize"

"You love her, you just love her way too much that you forgot to see that Mia was already right by your side, that she needs you more than anything else" Max and Terrence then leaned on the wall of heir house.

"But I understand why you did what you did" this time it was Max who let out a long sigh "and Mia also understands why you took such actions"

"Understanding is not enough easing the pain that I have caused her" Terrence just sadly smiled at Max.

"On the bright side, it's an indication that she really loves you" Max said half-jokingly "I really want the both of you to get the happy ending that you both deserve"

"you know what sad about this?" Terrence then looked up to the sky. He smiled how clear the sky is, Mia always love the looking at the night sky.

"What?" Max waited at Terrence reply and just looked at the night sky as well.

"I still haven't told Mia I love her" it was then followed by a sad laugh "Every time that I would take courage to say those words, she would always cut it of by saying I know"

Terrence then looked at Mia's apartment.

"I should have insisted"
