Chapter 74: The Person Next to Her

"it's a good thing that Engineer Lee could understand our situation," the people from Yillis are still waiting for Patrick Fraust to come back after walking Mia out of the café. "It's really a big relief that we could still push through with the premiere night" said the head of PR of Yillis.

Since Juno went back from the meeting at Fraust Holdings everyone in the office tensed up, they don't know what is wrong but they definitely sensed that there is something wrong, then Juno and James had a long talk in Juno's office before facing the whole production team.

"I'm sorry to keep you waiting" then Patrick sat down before continuing "As per Mia's request, you can go ahead with the movie's premiere night and screening schedule"

"Then about the other terms?" James is more concerned to the fact that if they were to change the writer's name the issue would overshadow the film itself.

"I'll leave that your decision, I think that you would know better what is need to be done and for the best of the movie" Patrick then leaned into the table, "I just wish that you will make the best decision out of this situation." Then he relaxes and leaned back to his seat, he took out his calling card and gave it to Juno. "As soon as you draft an agreement you think we can all be satisfied then call me at this number."

After receiving Patrick's call, it was as if a huge burden was lifted in his chest. He immediately called Ysa to let her know of the situation,

Luna is currently rehearsing for the comeback and Argon was with them, he also have to let the boys know of the situation and he knows that all of them will be happy for Mia, especially Terrence, he knows that Terrence is burdened the most thinking that it was his fault why that manuscript was stolen from Mia.

"Brother, who are you talking to? You look too happy?" Faux noticed the smile on Argon's face "Your talking to Maurice, right?" then Argon face redden by the comment and quickly falsified the statement "I'm not!" then Faux just laughed at his reaction.

When Argon managed to calm down, he called everyone.

"What's the matter?" Max asked as soon as he approached the group, Terrence just stood with them quietly waiting for what will Argon announce to them.

"Let's all sit down first" then the guys settled down on the floor of the dance studio, so does Argon. "Before signing with Starlight, we asked Patrick's help with regard Mia's manuscript" he looked at everyone waiting for a question but none of them spoke and instead kept their silence. "and Patrick called me earlier to let me know that the Production House already know that it is Mia who really own that script, they just finished talking to Mia just a while ago before calling me"

Terrence wasn't able to contain the relief that he was feeling, it was as if a huge stone was gotten off his chest, tears started to fall while saying thank you.

All of them in that room knows what Terrence is feeling and could only pat him in the back and let him let out everything.

Mia returned to the control room as soon as she finished talking to the people of Yillis, she had an idea on whose doing this is but she will just turn a blind eye and thank them.

For the past 4 years, all that she has experienced is pain and disappointment but in the past month it finally felt like everything is falling back to where it was.

"It's just that I'm sick" then she chuckled at her own comment then shrugged the idea in her head.

Callen entered the control room "Who did you meet?" then he went straight to the patch bay to check the incoming feeds while Mia is at the Audio Mixer to check the patching list that his junior made earlier,

"Just some people"

Right then another person entered the control room "Delivery" he said, Callen was the first one to face the new comer, "Did you change your job? But thanks for the food" Callen then turned his attention to Mia who is still busy in her work "Lance brought some snacks"

"Oh! The delivery boy is here" then Mia turned her chair to see Lance "You still want to get the two of us to do your new show?" then Lance chuckled.

"Well it's my best choice, if I manage to convince the two of you then I won't be having problems materializing my ideas as they say if you have the Callen-Mia tandem then you have all the tools you nee engineering wise" both Mia and Callen laughed at the statement that Lance gave, Mia and Lance are the same age while Callen is only 2 years older than the two.

"Just say that is it more convenient for you to work with people close to your age" Callen grabbed a corn dog from the snacks that Lance brought and Mia also digs in.

"Yeah, stop the compliments, if Chief Blake ever hears you, its going to be tough on us" Mia seconds the motions.

"And I heard it loud and clear" Blake suddenly entered the control room, he was looking for these two for the technical meeting they clearly forgot, "We have a technical meeting so let's go" he grabbed a corndog before leaving the room first.

"I'll just prepare for the 8pm News" then Callen went a head and followed Blake, "Alright".

"You're doing the 8pm News?"

"Yeah, we are short-handed today, one of us called in sick" then Mia finished what she is doing and starts to clean up.

"Let me help" Lance started to tidying up their trash and Mia grabbed the left overs "I'll take these"

After cleaning up they both got out of the control room and went their own ways, but before Mia could go any further, she turned and called out Lance again.

"Hey, Let's go for a meal sometimes" then she waived goodbye.

Lance wasn't able to say a thing, he was completely stunned by Mia's invitation, he won't lie his heart fluttered a bit "You're just a friend Lance, just a friend"

But still he is happy just to be this close to her.

After their talk, Luna resumed their rehearsals wit ha much stronger mindset.

"Everything is falling back to its proper places." Terrence murmured before going back to their formation. All he could think is that he finally has a chance to return to his place next to Mia.

They finished the rehearsals and Terrence was the first one to bid goodbye, he is half excited and half nervous. He will go and pick up Mia.

He called Callen earlier to ask Mia's schedule, he said that Mia is going to do the 8pm News, before all of these happen Terrence always picks up Mia from HGN and have dinner together, he also got close to most of her co-workers.

9:15pm

Usually, Mia clocks out around this time, his heart is already racing with anticipation, if he gets to eat dinner with Mia tonight, he will make sure that no one will take his place again.

Terrence then saw Mia got out of HGN "Well, Patrick did say that I can just email everything to him so I can go tonight" then he saw another silhouette following Mia from the back.

"Alright! It's your treat tonight" It was Lance Gregory.

"Sure!" then he saw Mia smirking at Lance as they walk side by side.

Terrence was frozen on his spot. He wanted to call Mia out, let his presence be known but he can't.

His mind was flooded by images of Mia's expression with him, almost all of them are either hurt or blank, unlike what he is seeing right now.

"You're happy" then he realized that he is no longer the person next to her.
