Ch 79 - Aegis

(A Few Weeks Later)

"Oi Jinah! Goodmorning!" said by Dahsoo who was seen wearing a long sleeve button up shirt with a light gray jacket with a red tie along with some dark blue pants.

"Goodmorning Dahsoo!" said by Jinah as she waves hello to Dahsoo, wearing the same upper body clothes to Dahsol with the only difference being is that she wears a dark blue skirt with knee high socks.

They walk to each other under a cherry blossom tree as they look at each other's uniform.

"So, what does it feel like being number one?" ask by Jinah with a smile as they started to walk along the pink filled path of leaves.

"It feels nice, but what does it feel like being number twooo" said by Dahsoo with a teasing smile.

"Tsk" said by Jinah as she punches Dahsoo on the shoulder while he chuckled.

"So, who do you think the teachers would be?" ask by Dahsoo.

"I heard that Aegis, the number one hero of Korea will be teaching here" said by Jinah as Dahsoo almost choke on what he said.

"You mean the Aegis? The Shield Hero?" ask by Dahsoo as he drank some water.

"Yeah, but its only from rumors though so let's just wait for the opening ceremony" said by Jinah.

"Oh yeah, the opening ceremony... Hey Jinah, do you feel ominous about the opening ceremony?" ask by Dahsoo.

"No? Why?" ask by Jinah as one pink petal fell on her head.

"I don't know, but it feels like it will be stressful for me" said by Dahsoo.

"What, because you're number oneee" said by Jinah, elongating the word one to put emphasis on it.

"Yep" said by Dahsoo.

"Ugh" said by Jinah with an annoyed face.

"What? Still salty about being number 2?" ask by Dahsoo with a smile.

"Ughhhh" said by Jinah as Dahsoo chuckled while they continued their walk until they finally reach the entrance to Seoul High as tons of students wearing the same uniform as them entering the gate.

"Phew, I can't believe we dominated the entrance exam" said by Dahsoo as he chuckled.

"Uh huh, you just flying through the air with your ODM gear that came out of nowhere" said by Jinah as Dahsoo chuckled.

"Let's go already" said by Dahsoo as he walks inside the entrance as Jinah followed along with them being greeted with paths of cherry blossom trees.

"Uwah!" said by Jinah as they walk along the path of pink petal ground.

They then walk along with the other students to what appears to be where the opening ceremony will be held and is also the school's auditorium that is use for some fun events in school.

"Brr, does it feel cold to you?" ask by Dahsoo to Jinah.

"No? Are you sure you're fine?" ask by Jinah.

"I'm fine, its probably just my imagination" said by Dahsoo as they entered the auditorium to see a cozy atmosphere while they look around on where to sit.

"Do we sit at the back?" ask by Dahsoo.

"Probably the middle" said by Jinah as Dahsoo nodded with them now walking towards somewhere in the middle while they took their seats and look around in the dark room.

"There's so much seats here" said by Dahsoo as he leaned towards the soft chair.

"Yeah" said by Jinah as both of them took out their phone and scrolled through Twatter, waiting for the ceremony to start.

"So, how is it with your double identity life" said by Jinah.

"Its fine, their suspicions have now declined and only a big push or a solid lead will rile them up again" said by Dahsoo.

"What about Hansoo, is he doing fine with his streaming career?" ask by Jinah.

"Yeah, he already has 10k followers on Twatch" said by Dahsoo.

"Oh wow" said by Jinah as she was impressed but suddenly, the sound of a switch being flipped was heard as the lights was focus on the stage while the students quieted down.

Soon, a muscular figure was seen walking to the stage with jet black hair, wearing a skin tight black suit with his iconic green cloak, wearing an optimistic smile and encouraging eyes that you could depend on, the number one hero of Korea, Aegis the Shield Hero has entered the stage.

"Holy fuck, its actually Aegis!" said by Jinah in a hush voice as her eyes glowed in awe.

Soon, whispers were heard throughout the auditorium as the students were riled up with the appearance of Aegis as a resounding chuckle was heard from him.

"Eh herm" said by Aegis as everyone instantly quieted down.

"Mmm, hello everybody!" said by Aegis with a smile.

"Hello sir!" said by the students as Aegis chuckled.

"Mmm, now it must be a surprise for you all, for me to suddenly appear here. I know that there were rumors already spreading in the internet but yes, I am indeed going to be your new teacher!" said by Aegis as everyone inside the auditorium were riled up once more.

"But why? Well, its simple really, I have been a hero for more than a decade already and as I become older, I will start to grow weaker, while new villains will just become stronger! So, my goal is to make the greatest generation of heroes there is! For you! My new students, will be under my guidance to bring this country to an era of peace!" said by Aegis as everyone claps their hands.

"But I know what you are thinking, "I'm not good enough" or "My quirk isn't that strong", I know what if felt like to have those same thoughts. Why? Because I too, was once a weak Hero" said by Aegis as a flash of light was seen behind them that projected on to the stage as Aegis when he was the same age as them was seen.

"You see, my quirk was very weak. You wanna know what it can do? It can make force fields, yes, just a simple square field that can protect people" said by Aegis as a green flat square appeared on his hand.

"It was a simple quirk, I can make force fields to protect my friends, I was said that I was weak, my quirk is weak, people said I was not talented. But I knew that I can make it, I know that no quirk is weak, only weak users. I trained it every day, to think outside the box, to not just protect, but to also attack" said by Aegis as pictures rolled behind him that shows him becoming older as his force fields started to develop to become much more, from simple shapes that became swords, baseball bats, even guns as his past was unveiled to them as he showed them how he became what he is today.

"See! From a simple force field to creation! I wasn't gifted nor was strong from the start! But I had one thing, and it was my perseverance. It took me years to become this strong but it paid off in the end, I brought Korea to this era of peace but in the end, this era will end when I am gone so I intend to stop this cycle of distraught and peace, I plan to make the greatest generation of heroes Korea ever had!" said by Aegis with a booming voice as the students cheered and was impressed when they finally saw Aegis's past and was now more motivated to improve themselves.

"But... it seems like we already have someone here who can surpass me!" said by Aegis as everyone quieted down.

"A student capable of thinking outside the box just like me, taking their quirks to the utmost limit and go past the norm. From simple control over electricity to explosions, psychokinesis, and even speed. Yes! I am talking about our number one examinee! Kang Dahsoo!" shouted by Aegis as the light was suddenly pointed at Dahsoo who wore a startled face.
