The wind whipped past him as he went faster and faster, dashing through the trees. The only thing he could think about was what would happen if he was late. He had taken his dream for granted before because he was sure that even if they did jump off, he could easily save them with his power once he could at least witness them doing it. That made him complacent. He had been so sure that whatever happened, he could fix it. After all, was there anyone more powerful than he was? Even if there were people more powerful in the higher-ranked families, it wouldn't be by much, nor would they have the same abilities he had. If all else failed, his bloodline reigned over all others, whether through his mother or through his father. Combined as they were, no other line stood a chance against him.
