A solution

The guy named Oki came to me and gave me a hand to help myself up.

"Can you walk?"

I nodded in response. Then, he wrapped my left arm around his neck and helped me lift myself. For some reason, my whole body felt so tired.

"What happened to me?"

He glanced at me, narrowing his eyes.

"I'll explain to you on the way..." He said, helping me leave the room. I looked around. The walls were painted in white and all sorts of things used for medical treatments were there.

I knew what it was now. It was an infirmary. Although... I didn't know where we were.

"Oki-san... Can you tell me where we are now?"

"We're in our ship... Outer space. Don't worry. We can get you back home. We just can't live on Earth... Otherwise, we'd be caught by now!"

I was shocked. I was in outer space. Akira and Mitsu always wanted to come along on a space trip. But... Not with terrorists.

"I can't believe I dragged myself into this..." I muttered. Oki-san glanced at me with a serious expression. "Don't say that... We all fight for a reason, remember. We cost far more than anything you could imagine. Our families, our daughters... And even—"

"That's exactly why I said that... I don't want to lose my daughter or my family..." I stopped him before he could say anything more.

"If you don't wanna lose them... Then join us... Let's stop all the bad people out there. Join us to create a world with peace..." he said.

I sighed. I never believed in peace. Cause... I knew one thing. Peace was just a concept... Not a reality.

Oki-san helped me get to a room on the ship and I got a change of clothes. I changed into a black long-sleeved shirt and some pants.

Then, both of us headed to the place where the woman was.

"So... You guys live here, huh?" I was curious. Although they were terrorists... They looked pretty much like normal humans for me.

Posters of ladies in bikinis on the walls. It was just too normal.

"Yes... Most of us here are below 30. I'm like one of the eldest here. Shiroma is the second eldest..." Oki-san said.

"How old is she?"

"Twenty-seven..."

That meant she was 6 years older than me... Still, she looked like she was a 20-year-old girl. Such a lovely shape.

"Oh... She looked very young."

"She does." He chuckled. "Well... Here we are. This will take us to Shiroma's office..." He said, pressing a button in the lift.

Then, the doors slid open and we entered.

-

The lift opened and we were right in front of two people. Both were carrying very long scythes and wearing high-tech suits.

There were one girl and one boy. Both looked similar... Like twins.

"Oh hey, Oki-san!" The boy said as they entered the lift after we came out.

"Great job out there, twins!" Oki-san told them as they waved. So they were twins after all.

Shiroma-sama was standing in front of what seemed to be a large table. There were some holographic images in the middle that represented the Earth and a ship.

It must've been their ship.

"So... Are you feeling well now?" The lady asked me. "Yes... Much better than before," I muttered.

I looked around the room. It was a beautiful room. I have only seen such places in movies.

There was a huge transparent glass covering the ship. I can see a million stars out in that vast space. My mouth dropped open when I saw the view.

"Beautiful isn't it?" She asked me.

I nodded.

"But not like the views down there. We have to live here alone... Down there, you can make a family, walk down an ally, run down the fields with your dad... We lost all of it," she said in a mournful tone.

I looked at her and felt a little sorrow.

"Now... Can I ask something... Shiroma-sama?"

She put her gaze on me. Her pale face was shining brightly. "Please... Call me Aoi."

"Very well... Aoi-san. Can you tell me why I am here? What happened to my body after I touched that cube. What happened to me in the Blue Lotus... I slaughtered all those men. Just ran through them and I'm pretty sure that it was not out of my own will..."

She sighed. Then, she turned to Oki-san and he shrugged.

"I don't know what's happening to your body. We need to research your powers. But we can... Help you control it," she answered.

I did know that I could control it... But without learning how to use it, leaving my house was dangerous. I won't live any longer if I accidentally harm my daughter or my wife.

"Well then... Can you tell me why you asked me to come to you? What do you need with me?" I asked her.

"Your mission... Well... Your mission is to help us defeat the Government. With the new cosmic technology, the Government had found many solutions for the secrets that could never be achieved. We terrorize and steal these things from the Government so we can defeat them. That is because there's one person... One man who stands against the world," her expression told me how angry she was.

"Tanaka Shinji! That moron! He's the one who's behind all of this... He wants to take over the world!"

My jaw dropped. Tanaka Shinji!? The Prime Minister of Japan? That handsome and funny man who shelters homeless kids! How?

"I know what you're thinking... But we cannot seal away the truth, can we?"

I was still confused. I took a seat on the chair in front of her desk. She was leaning against her desk as she talked to me.

"Please... I— we need your help."

I laid back on the chair, my head burning up with all this pressure. "I didn't want to get myself involved in this...." I whispered to myself again.

Suddenly, she came closer to me and placed both her hands beside my shoulders.

I looked up at her beautiful face, which was filled with tears now. I didn't want to see such a beautiful woman cry.

"Please... We need you..." again, she whispered.

Then... An idea came to me. I was stuck in all of this mess because of one thing. I got this power... That's the only reason. If I were able to remove this power before anyone found out that I am the one who carries this... mutation, I could peacefully live with my family once again.

If there was anyone who knew something about this... It was Oki-san.

"Oki-san..."

"Yes?"

"Can you remove this mutation from my body before anyone could find out that I am the courier of this mutation?"

He went silent. He looked at Aoi-san and she nodded to him. "I— don't know if I could really do that... But it's worth giving it a try."

I felt so relieved. Well... That settled it... But still... I needed to destroy the Government and live to see another day.

My life was on the line. But it was better than putting my family on the line.
