The Demon King

Lilith sat shackled to a wall, diluted acid dripping onto her exposed skin. Next to her Raphael's feathers lay around him or burned.

Lilith was brought before the notorious Demon King. He seemed angry but she couldn't tell for sure because of the blurry vision and the light.

The king yelled at the guard "You idiot! I said acclimate her not kill her. Vilroth, is the angel dead?"

Her vision cleared for a moment for her to realize it was the black and white man.

The ashen skinned man with large black horns sat next to her as Lilith went in and out of consciousness. She saw wings soft but singed, they were next to her. The woman came to check on us often.

"It doesn't hurt anymore." Said Raphael

Lilith stared at the angel laying on a cot with his giant wings off the side. The heat surrounding her made her uneasy. She didn't want to escape being murdered only to burn to death.

"That's because you're on heavy drugs." Said the woman.

"Is she coherent yet?"

"No"

After hours of delusions and unconsciousness she finally came to. Raphael's wings had started to grow back. His eyes were sunken in with dark circles. In a place like this Raphael would never survive.

"Can I speak with the demon I saw with the black and white man?" Lilith said to the woman

A few minutes later the ashen demon had returned wearing informal clothes and his hair soaked.

"Yes?"

"Raph can't stay here. He's going to die."

"Lilith don't." Raphael moaned rolling over to face me.

She ignored him. "What do you mean he's going to die? He's being acclimated right now. So are you."

"He's an angel. Don't you know he needs specific water every day in order for his body to function."

"You're lying." Said the woman. "I would have known that."

"Not if they keep something like that a secret. You need to get the water from the spring of Sereia."

"Sereia? The Siren? She died centuries ago. My grandfather killed her."

"No she lives but he doesn't have much time. In the mean time get him some sort of plant based tea with the most minerals you can find. That should hold him over for a while."

"If you're wrong-" The king sighed. "- we will be walking on enemy territory and could start a war."

"I'm not. I'll go myself. I know most of the guards. They won't hurt me."

"Fine but it's going to be a small party. You, Vilroth and I. I'll send work to Atlas so he can send a yearling for protection."

"Atlas?"

"The king of the dragons of course."

"But demons and dragons don't get along. They haven't for centuries." Lilith said

"Someone lied to you. Atlas was here a few hours ago explained some of his young dragons had turned up dead."
