LIE NOT TO HURT

When she realized that Ametsa had come out of the dream world, now the girl slowly began to open her eyes at the same time as hearing the voice of someone familiar to her.

"Ametsa, are you okay?" someone asked with a worried look on his face. "I was really worried about you."

Now in front of her stood a man she knew so well who was looking at her with fear. Ametsa who knew this immediately sighed before finally closing her eyes again with a frown.

"Ametsa!" called Daniel back with wide eyes. "Open your eyes, I beg you Ametsa!"

"Daniel," Ametsa said hoarsely. "Don't overdo it, I'm fine, so please calm down."

"Sorry, I'm just afraid something will happen to you," Daniel said then sighed with his head slightly lowered. "I'm sorry again, Ametsa. I just..."

Ametsa who saw it immediately said, "Never mind, forget it, I don't want to think about anything other than ..."

Hearing what someone in front of him had just said, Daniel, who was originally lowering his head, immediately looked up to see the girl's face with a furrowed brow.

"Besides?" he repeated with a questioning look. "What would you say?"

Ametsa immediately smiled for a moment, the girl was about to say something that might make things more complicated. Therefore, she could not say anything about what she had experienced so far that made her like an insane person.

"Ah, no, it's nothing. I just don't want to think about anything other than my health right now, because I have to keep working to survive anyway."

"Ametsa," Daniel called, now starting to sit down on the edge of the bed with his hands gripping the girl's wrists. "There's something I want to tell you, but I always hesitate to say it."

Because it made Ametsa immediately get up from the bed, Daniel who knew this also helped her so that now the girl is sitting while leaning.

"So... what are you going to tell me, Daniel?" said the girl with raised eyebrows. "Just tell me, I'll listen to it."

Even so, there was a feeling that couldn't be described in mere words and Daniel was afraid that someone in front of him right now was angry with him. If that happened, maybe he wouldn't be able to say anything other than shut up and wait for her to come back until the right time came.

And Daniel doesn't know when the right time will come, this man really can't just sit still seeing his best friend's condition like this.

"Forget it," he said with a faint smile. "I don't remember what I was trying to tell you anyway."

"Why is that?" asked Ametsa with a furrowed brow. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, it's just that it's not something important to you."

Hearing what the man had just said made Ametsa think about it even more.

"For me?" repeated the girl to which Daniel immediately nodded. "Then, if it's not important to me doesn't mean it's not important to you, right?"

Ametsa could see how the person in front of her was silent in his thoughts, as if there was something he wanted to say but was hard to say.

"Daniel," the girl said. "What's wrong? Just say what you want to say to me."

"What if I say it will you accept it? You will reject it again, Ametsa. So I think it will be difficult for me to say it again."

Hearing this, Ametsa immediately fell silent with her lips tightly closed, her tongue even suddenly went numb and her heartfelt and extraordinary tightness after hearing the words of her own best friend.

"Did I hurt your feelings?" asked the girl with reddened eyes looking at the person in front of her. "Hurry up, Daniel! Did I hurt you again?"

"No," Daniel replied with that fake smile. "I don't feel like I've been hurt by you at all."

"Are you sure, Daniel?" asked Ametsa again with raised eyebrows. "I don't want any lies between the two of us, don't let that happen. I have no one else but you, Daniel. So I beg of you, if there's anything you're hiding from me, then I don't know who else to trust but you."

Ametsa's words left Daniel unable to say anything but silence with a slightly forced smile. This was what he couldn't do, what after everything he said would make her still believe him?

"Yeah, calm down, I'll tell you everything. You don't have to worry about that, because there's no way I'll disappoint you."

Right after saying that, Ametsa immediately pursed the corners of her lips. The girl smiled with relief because in the end Daniel was the right person and she was also sure that the man would never hurt her feelings because whatever she didn't want, her best friend would always understand.

"Thank you very much, Daniel. You are indeed my best friend, only you understand me, and I don't know how else to repay you other than thank you."

"You're welcome, Ametsa," said Daniel who was now looking at each other with a girl who was in front of him at this time. Then the man suddenly remembered something and said, "Oh, yes, I made you a meal earlier. You must not have had dinner, right?"

Ametsa immediately nodded her head after hearing what her friend had just said. "I am hungry."

"Okay, wait a minute, okay." The man immediately stood up from his seat and walked towards the table in the room where Daniel had kept her food before finally returning to Ametsa who had been watching him for a long time. "Here comes the food, hm... Ametsa."

"Gee, thanks, Daniel. What's wrong?" Ametsa accepted the food that Daniel had deliberately made and then looked at the person in front of her with her best smile. "I will try it."

"Just tell me how it feels honestly, okay? I'm fine if it doesn't taste good, so please just tell me the truth, okay?"

Hearing what Daniel had just said made Ametsa pause for a moment with a lingering smile. The man looked very nervous because he was afraid that his homemade food would not meet expectations until where he saw the girl who had just tasted her food and now he had to accept the answer.

"How?" asked Daniel, now looking so worried. "Does it taste bad?"

Ametsa who saw it was still silent with a feeling that was difficult to describe in words. The girl returned to feeding her food without answering Daniel's question which made the man quite confused by the taste of the food.

"DANIEL, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" cried the girl angrily. "DON'T YOU SEE IF I WAS EATING IT?"

"I want to taste it too, Ametsa!" said Daniel with a pitiful face. "Just one bite, okay? Why are you so stingy? I'm just asking for a little it's not much."

In the end, the girl was silent with her hands folded across her chest and a bent face, while Daniel, who was currently tasting the taste of his homemade food, immediately licked his lips because the food was so delicious.

"Ametsa, can I have one more bite?"

Hearing what Daniel had just said made the girl immediately give a sharp look which made the man immediately back down.

"No need, it's all for you."
