Realization dawns on Abdul's face. "Of course!" he exclaims.

"It's in the desert, a few days' ride east of the Dead Sea," says Esme. "Abdul and I were out there a few months ago, doing survey work for the Palestine Exploration Fund. I even made a note about it in my journal: an odd rock formation. A stone outcrop, with what looks like a bull's horns projecting from it. That must be the place the manuscript is talking about!"

Sam sits back in a daze. "Urim and Thummim," they say, shaking their head. "So that's what they're after. The Nazis don't want the manuscript, they want the treasure that the manuscript will lead them to!"

"And people have died for this," you mutter. "They killed Ruth for this. We can't let them get it."

"Do you…do you believe?" asks Sam. "In Urim and Thummim? In the oracle of God? You think it can really tell the future, like the Bible claims?"
