You remain vigilant for now; who knows how many more Beasts or Fiends are out there in the city right now, and how many of them might actually stumble on you while you're still here recuperating. Your teammates head out to scout the area for any signs of Beasts while the agents remain behind with you and work on making a report to Allenby and figure a way out of your situation. Five minutes pass without a fight and with little noise; you guess the civilians are staying indoors for now, trying to avoid getting caught in a fight. You haven't heard anything from the agents during this time; you're guessing that either Allenby has a lot to say or they're having trouble contacting him. You're not sure which is worse.

After another minute passes, one of the agents steps out of the limousine and says, "Just got through to Allenby at last. Told us to stay put for now, until we get new orders from him." You nod your head and ask him if he mentioned anything about Balogh. "No, nothing about your teammate. Take it as good news, I suppose?" he says and pats your shoulder. You suppose you can, you say just before a sharp scraping sound catches your ears and you turn to take a look. Your blood freezes at the sight; a Beast is walking towards you right now.

You're about to call your teammates when it lets out a long howl and runs forward. It dashes past you, ignoring you and the agent as it leaves you behind. What the…you turn around and stare as it continues running. You've never seen Fiends act like this before; usually they would instantly attack you regardless of your numbers and how strong you may appear. This is…strange, to say the least, and you wonder aloud what's going on.

"You've got me there, kid. I'm just glad we don't have to fight again," the agent says.
