You think about it for a while, but the mystery still eludes you; according to the files that you're able to access in your suit, there is no record of Fiends doing anything like this before. Whatever it is that made it run without even pausing to attack you must be something big. At least, that's how you see it in your mind. The only problem with that scenario is that if you're wrong and you're going on a wild goose chase, you'll definitely be leaving the President in danger in case he gets attacked, and there's a huge chance of another attack happening.

You radio your teammates over your private radio channel and tell them about this matter. After a short discussion, the general sentiment is that yes, something strange is definitely going on since the Beast ran off without attacking, but it might just be too risky to leave the President alone; any kind of injury (or worse, death) is sure to be a huge setback for American-Lemurian relations. While the two countries are on generally friendly terms, this kind of attack already doesn't look good to an international audience and who knows what President Brandsen's successor might do with Lemuria if his death were to really occur.

You sigh to yourself after hearing your teammates' words. What they say is true of course, but it doesn't change the fact that something strange is going on around here. You excuse yourself so that you can take some time to think, and your teammates volunteer to take watch until it's time to go. In the meantime, while on your own, you think some more about the situation.
