Larry shrugs at this and says, "Maybe they did, but I still got transferred here, so they might have something up their sleeves. Either way, it's good to actually meet you at last. Got tired of seeing your face in every single glass of water that I'm drinking from."

"Was it that bad?" you ask her, and she thinks for a moment before saying, "Maybe, but you have no idea how—"

The door swings open, and the two of you turn to take a look. Jax enters the room and glances at the two of you talking before he walks over and extends his hand to Larry. "Hi, I'm Jax. You're the new troop, right?" he says to her, and Larry grins as she takes his hand and shakes it.

"I'm Larry, by the way. You are?" Jax does a double take when she introduces herself and he says, "Not sure why you'd call yourself Larry." She sniggers at this before she asks for his name again. "I'm Jax," he replies and takes her hand, shaking it firmly. "Pleased to meet a new member of the squad, but why the transfer?"

"Let me be the one to answer that," Altug says as she enters the room. She looks around for a moment before saying, "Two missing heads." Balogh walks in a second later, followed by the last member of your team, and the four of you take a seat as Larry stands by Altug's side. She clears her throat and adjusts her eyepatch while gesturing at her. "This is Corporal Lara Vincent, previously of the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Division, and now she has made the transfer here."

Corporal? You glance at Larry in surprise, especially given the casual way she's acted so far. She isn't very big on ranks, is she? Larry nods at the four of you before flashing a quick grin behind Altug's view as she continues to talk about your new teammate. "Corporal Vincent is—"

"Lara," Larry says quickly, and Altug glances at her. "Vincent is my father's name," she says in an explanatory manner, ignoring the slight glare in Altug's one good eye. Altug sighs and says, "Fine…Corporal Lara will be an important addition to our team, seeing that she's a Mage and we're a little short-handed on Mages in our division at this time."

You raise an eyebrow at that; was Larry lying to you earlier when she said that she was a terrible Mage? Regardless, she has stepped up and is starting to say, "I'm looking forward to working with the four of you." Altug smirks at this and says, "Good, 'cause I've redone your schedules, and the five of you will be heading out in an hour. If you want to complain, complain to the new Corporal." She makes a gesture with her hand and nods at Balogh. "All right. Dismissed. Best you five go and get ready for the patrol. It's going to be a bit of a wild one," she says before she leaves the room.

The four of you turn your gaze to Larry. "Hey…that's not my fault," she protests.
