"Weakness? Are you kidding me? My Einherjar has a problem? What kind of blasphemy is this?" he says in a hurt and indignant manner. You sigh and say that there is a weakness, especially compared to the older models: there are no modification slots in the suit. "Oh, right. That problem," he says dismissively, and you stare hard at him. "It was exceedingly difficult for me to do what I did with the Einherjar if I didn't sacrifice something, and that's what I did," he says huffily.

"And that's to sacrifice the mod slots?" you ask. He shrugs and says, "Something had to give. It was also ridiculously difficult to adjust it so that the suit is backwards-compatible with mods from the previous generations, so this is the best compromise that I could come up with." You sigh and shake your head, telling him that the whole reason the Magikiras units ar popular is due to the ability to modify each suit according to its user's whim, thus negating the need to come up with many different models for specific purposes.

Edgar groans and says, "Fine. I could take the suit back and toss it on the backburner for some more modifications, but that'll delay its deployment by several months." He stops for a moment and says, "Hmmm…I don't suppose I could persuade you to give my Einherjar some more field tests while I make the modifications in the blueprints? I'd definitely still want Unit-01 here to get as much data as possible." What about the mod slots, you ask, and he shrugs. "Test out the lack of slots for me as well. See how it works out for you," he suggests, and you think about it for a while.
