You gesture to Ami that you want to dance for a while, and she nods at you, making the same gesture. The two of you head out onto the dance floor and start dancing together. You note that Ami's actually a pretty good dancer, graceful and nimble with a great sense of rhythm. You do your best to keep up with Ami, but it's obvious that she's the far better dancer. Still, she slows herself down to keep in time with you, and the two of you have a good time dancing together. After the song has ended, the two of you leave the dance floor, feeling pleased with yourselves.

You find an empty booth near the dance floor and take a seat there, catching your breath after the dance. "I have to admit. The dancing was pretty nice…but couples' night?" she says, glaring at you. You apologize to her quickly, telling her that you just wanted to hang out as friends, and you meant nothing by asking her out on a couples' night. "Well, you better be telling the truth," she says and gives you a hard punch to your side, causing you to double up a little before she goes back to nursing her drink.

After a while, her anger seems to have simmered down considerably, and you look at her, wondering if she's calmed down. She glances at you and says, "Yeah, what's up?"
