Problem

I slowly open my eyes and find myself in a strange room. I make myself comfortable on the plush bed and look about the space.

It recognizes that I am in the royal room, so I remove my covers and attempt to get out of bed, but my legs immediately give out on me.

I collapsed once again on the soft bed. I heard a footstep enter the room, drawing my eyes to Loki.

"Good to see you awake.." Loki sets down the Jug of Juice. "How is Alpha Colton doing?"

Loki handed me a glass of juice, and I gulped it down in one swoop, since I hadn't realized how thirsty I was until then.

"Although the wolfbane has not been removed, Alpha Colton is fully aware of his surroundings."

Loki took the glass from me and poured some more for me, which I accepted gratefully.

"I have to go see how he is doing." I put the glass back on the table and attempt to rise; this time, I feel I have the strength.

"I can't say no or tell you Dean requested you to rest, and you won't listen to me." As Loki continued to speak. He shook his head, and I rolled my eyes as I made my way to the door.

"Come on, Loki, show me the way to the Colton room." He let out a loud sigh before leading me along many corridors and several stairs to the next level.

After Loki opened the door, I saw Xavier sitting on the bed, Dean standing next to Colton's King Size bed, and Colton sitting and pausing his conversation as he looked at us as we entered the room.

"I'm sorry to have harmed you, Aria." The expressions of remorse, pain and worry mingled together and flashed through Colton's face as he looked at me. I hope everything is well with you. He nodded in response to my query, his eyes downward. "Colton will do his best to assemble a group team to investigate Dan's whereabouts," Dean spoke in reassuring tones.

"How long will the wolfsbane magic stay active?" He inquired without looking at any of us in the room, and I cast a sidelong glance at Loki, who, like his Alpha, had down-turned eyes. "It will be in force for as long as I don't see Colton fit and in command of his wolf."

"I wish to remain in my realm and seek forgiveness from my clan for damaging them and taking care of problems here. I'll be back as soon as I can." Colton speaks while looking at Dean to ensure he understands, and Dean nods in response to his request.

"Aria and Xavier, let us go to campus. When Dean gave the order, I glanced across to Colton, who offered a brief grin I returned. Loki waved farewell as we walked out of the room. As I returned to campus. Dean arrives at the office for work and tells me to relax. Xavier was tired, but I knew something was happening in his thoughts. " Xavier, something is on your mind." he glanced at the pupils heading to class and me. "If you wish to learn magic, we can practice in our magical lab class."

"Yeah, I do, but I don't believe I can sleep while I'm already scared." Xavier gave me a side glance and looked ahead as we walked, and then he locked the chamber and exhaled as he went back to the magical globe where he used to view his world. I said something under my breath, and he gave me a look from the side.

"Aria…. Can I be honest with you?" Xavier seemed to be deep in thought as he stared at me.

" You are a genius, and how you conduct yourself back in the wolf world and handle slime. I didn't view you as a rookie, but as an expert. " His comment made me grin. "You are not like the other Rare Eva, who is a fucking show off... I enjoy playing with people's hearts and emotions." That's what Xavier said, and I glanced at him, bewildered. Did he also have a relationship with her?

"Did you have a relationship with Eva?" I blurt out, and Xavier nods, a nasty grimace on his face. "What happened?"

"Don't bother asking me about it being heartbreak." He spoke in a wounded tone.

"I need to know, Xavier, because I have a feeling she hasn't played with your emotions, but it can't be that Eva has some unseen power..." When I spoke those words, I did not know Xavier's reaction. My mind drifted to the possibilities.

"Aria, please don't phrase it that way only to know my past with Eva; I will tell you what took place." His presumption made me groan loudly. "That's not what I'm getting at, Xavier." He shrugged.

"Do you have a lover in the human realm?" He inquired abruptly, and I gave him a disdainful look. "No, I don't enjoy serious relationships; I prefer casual." Xavier shrugged and nodded in agreement. "Are you planning on dating someone seriously?" He inquired, perplexed why he was interested in learning that. "No, I don't think so, because dating someone seriously is never my priority." Xavier's face is expressionless.

"Are you finished learning about my interests? Could you tell me about Eva?" I grunted. He grinned at me. "Are you jealous?" Xavier cracked a joke.

"Why would I be jealous? All I need to do is discover Eva bitch's genuine motives." His shoulders slumped as he heard my response.

"Eva had to come to the school six months early since she is from the royal family, and we were all summoned to discuss how the structure and group of seniors should be constructed and everything. It piqued my attention when I saw Eva's brilliance and conversation in the meeting. And we aristocrats had to remain until we found all the outstanding pupils via magic projection." I grumbled in response to his lengthy explanation. "Get to the point; I'm not interested in the tale's details," I said.

"Fine," he snarled. "After some time of stumbling onto. I liked Eva, and we dated, and from there, things progressed. Also, I transported her to my world and taught her magic alongside me in this same magic lab class. But as time went on, Eva focused less of her attention on me and more on Hudson. Finally, I found her cheating, and she played Colton and Hudson, also me."

"That is dreadful. I'm sorry heartbreak caused you so much misery." I stated it sympathetically.

"Keep your sympathetic expression away; I am done with that Bitch." He mocked. "Anyhow, did she try to contact you again?" Xavier paused for a while and pondered. "No, she didn't, and she maintained her distance until you arrived. She became envious and attempted to talk to me and then to Colton and Hudson."

"I see, so it fascinated her with me for being rare. It makes sense to me." I mumbled. My remarks made Xavier laugh. "She is since many people praised you when you showed her place in the Canteen."

"Who discovered me and took me to the Academy? I'm curious whether all the Royal group brought me in saw me through magical projection?"

"We didn't know other rare even existed in the first place; it's never happened in history. Because only one is born Rare is born after a thousand years, Dean spotted your weak energy in the magical protection that identified your exact position." Xavier said that I did not know such information existed. "Did you know that when the word leaked that you were the second rare to arrive at the Academy from the human world, many people wanted to meet you?"

"Come on, Xavier, don't lie. I've seen no one look at me with curiosity. They didn't seem to care about The Rare crap stuff." I sat in the chair and looked at the magical stones through the original glasses. "Anyway, you were supposed to teach me magic, Xavier." He agrees, and we begin with a rudimentary instruction in the basics of magic and the many forms of stone.

"Aria..." Maggie's voice came from behind us, and Xavier and I turned to look at Maggie, sweating and injured from the forehead. "What happened?" I yelled as I rushed to the side. "Some unknown creature hurt Hudson, and he is not waking up from his coma." This made me gasp.

"Dean wanted me to grab you two," Maggies said, panting. Xavier and I, together with Maggie, went to the hospital. Hudson's light complexion becomes dark blue, a symptom of poison for vampires. "Dean," Maggie said. "Thank you, Maggie, for getting them to treat wounds." Maggie exited to be treated in the next room as the nurse took her.

"Do you have any suggestions for a cure?" Dean approached Fae, the doctor. "No, Mr. Mark, it's enigmatic." Doctor said.
