Kiss

I checked on Maggie's health, and the doctor prescribed medication for her to take from the infirmary. Maggie and I checked on Hudson, and his condition remained the same. Xavier came to check on Hudson simultaneously, and I avoided looking at him, and Maggie glanced from Xavier to me since I didn't respond to Xavier's small conversation.

I sat on the Campus bench before a class started, and the students spoke about Xavier and me in whispers, and also, Colton already had a tyrant badge among the wolfs since he harmed their clan. This story spread like wildfire, and many blame Alpha Colton murdered Dan because he worried his brother would steal his Alpha title from him. No one knows Hudson is struggling against Death; many still believe he is on some mission.

I can still recall Xavier's question to Dean about why he was withholding the truth regarding Hudson's condition, and I thought Xavier was crazy to ask that question, but Dean has told nobody.

I have some empty time in my schedule, so the Dean reorganized it so I could take a lesson on manufacturing magic potions with witches. But unfortunately, the class with Colton is canceled because Colton is not back in the academy, and Hudson is not feeling well. So although I have a Class with Xavier, I have yet to attend it.

While Maggie isn't speaking out much these days, she still feels guilty about what occurred, and we've been told not to talk about Hudson Health, and if other students ask about Hudson, we should lie about Hudson being in mission, as the Dean had requested. I even wanted to ask for Hudson's genuine motivations for concealing his condition, but he refused to say anything. I even wanted to confront Dean about his true motivations for covering Hudson's condition, but he declined to answer.

The lecture lasted three hours without a break, and I tried not to doze off since it was so dull. "Aria, you go ahead. I need to relax." Maggie said as her face was weary, and I knew my encouraging words weren't reaching her. I attempted to persuade her to go shopping, but she declined, preferring to remain in her room.

Before I could stop Maggie and talk to her, she left, and I gave her some space to hope that she would be well. Then, as I walked to the canteen, I saw Eva and asked myself, "Why do I have to see this b*tch face when I'm not in the mood for it?"

I didn't have to turn around when I heard whispers and ladies gasping, and I knew it was Xavier who could have such an effect on women and why the males had scowls on their faces. I sensed his presence behind me and remained still because Xavier had cast a spell that caused me to stay rooted to my spot. "Aria, I apologize for what I did last week. Please forgive me and speak with me." He muttered huskily and removed the enchantment as he went before the ladies followed him. And I saw the focus on me and felt annoyed at Xavier. I marched up to Xavier, who was nowhere to be seen on campus.

Xavier is not in the Magical lab class, and as I strolled into his room, I could pick up on his scent, showing that he was already there. I opened the door without knocking since the rage that simmered inside me and the things I wanted to say were vital, and I came to a halt when I saw him shirtless and displaying bulged chest muscles, and Xavier's green eyes glanced at me.

But I got myself together and didn't lust over his refined abs, which diverted me from my true aim. "Aria, what's the matter?" He asked gently.

"What are you trying to accomplish, you bastard?" I stepped inside the room.

The muscles in his biceps flexed as he folded his arms, and I tried not to let my hormones get the better of me. "I'm sorry, Aria. Please forgive me and speak to me." It filled his eyes with remorse, and I gazed intently. It seemed like a genuine apology as if he was lying to me. But I would never see a handsome face.

"Fine, this is your last opportunity, Xavier; don't blow it because if you do, I'll never talk with you again." He chuckled at me, and I smiled back. Xavier excitedly embraced me, and I could feel his abs on my skin, and I felt heated, as if I were turned aroused.

"Xavier." My voice got raspy, and I broke the embrace. His stare seemed dizzy with fire, and so did mine; I felt a butterfly in my stomach. When his eyes fell on my lips, it caused my pulse rate to quicken, and the warm air turned into something of hunger. Xavier's hand came to my cheeks, and he gently caressed them, and I felt the urge grow in me more to taste his lips within a second, his lips touched mine, and I didn't expect Xavier to kiss me and catch me by surprise, and I return the kiss, and I groaned against his kiss as light nibbles them. My hands travel down his smooth hair and chiseled abs while Xavier's hands trace along the sides of my waists. His lips trace along the side of my neck and my collarbone.

"I want you, Aria." He asked permission in hoarse tones.

"I want you, Aria." He asked permission in hoarse tones. "Xavier, it may cause problems for our relationship if we go forward with this." Xavier's hands halt, and his lustful stare transforms into a sober one.

"My rule is that I won't date or even have casual encounters with any of the people on my team since I don't want things to grow uncomfortable in the future," I said.

"You had nothing yet, did you?" Xavier shifts the focus to something else and pretends nothing occurred.

I felt remorse rushing at me, but this was the most effective option because if I had casual flings, I would never see that person again since that is how I lived in a previous life, and I knew one thing one side of love is terrible. I used to feel for Hudson in my earlier life, which destroyed my heart afterward, and I swore never to attach myself to a serious relationship.

"I don't believe I have any appetite, so I'm going to check on Hudson." Before I stepped out of Xavier's room, he grasped my hand. "Will you not speak to me again and treat me as if I don't exist?" Then, in a concerned tone, he inquired. "Don't worry; I'll talk to you." I didn't glance his way, so he let go of my hand from his grasp, and I shut the door behind me.

I should not have kissed Xavier and complicated everything. I walked to my room and left my bag there before taking a shower, getting dressed, and going to check on Hudson. On the way, I stopped by Maggie's room. I hesitated, debating whether to take her with me, but I didn't bother her and moved to the infirmary wing, where I entered the Hudson room and saw the poison was slowly dissipating.

"Is there any progress?" I spoke with the Nurse in charge of Hudson monitoring. "It's a slight improvement, but it's coming slowly." It drew my focus to Hudson, and I saw a little mark that resembled a syringe mark. I waited for the Nurse to leave before attentively inspecting myself to ensure I was not hallucinating.

The Nurse left the room, and I carefully caressed Hudson's neck, which had a little black area; I felt the waves of magic become more robust, and I didn't know what the fuck was going on, and Hudson moaned in agony for the first time since he got poisoned.

I couldn't halt the spell, and I saw my palm drawing a dusty black glow, which appeared cloudy and formed a circle in my hand. Hudson's scream of pain became more audible, and I heard footsteps; I knew it was Doctor Fae and Nurse entering the ward, and when they spotted me, they looked at Hudson with surprise.

"Dr. Fae, I'm not sure what's going on, and I can't stop this magic." I cried as I felt the pressure building in my body, and Dr. Fae attempted to approach me, but Dr. Fae couldn't stop the magic.

Still, the wind in the room became stronger, Hudson's suffering could be heard, and the black, smoky-looking ball got deeper and darker, and suddenly the magic left the room. The magic in my palm disappeared as if nothing was in my hand, and my eyes looked at Hudson, who looked at me with ocean-blue eyes and drowsiness.

"How did you accomplish that?" Dr. Fae inquired, stunned, as he glanced about at Hudson. "How are you feeling, Mr. Vega?" Dr. Fae asked as he checked on him and then looked at the Nurse, "Go get the Dean." The Nurse stood there in shock as if she had seen a ghost, but the nurse left the room.
