Chapter 28: Shopping spree
***Albert P.O.V.
A taxi stopped before my house and a youth exited before walking toward me.
He had 2-3 inch long black hair and black eyes. He couldn't be considered a supermodel-level handsome but he was above average in looks. He might have lacked in the face but you could gleam an Olympic swimmer's body from his clothes.
" Hello, sir. Here are the documents requested by you. Shall we visit the bank now to complete the deal?" He opened the suitcase before passing me the signed contract.
" Are you in a hurry, son? " I nodded before pointing him my car as we walked.
" Yes, I have to meet a few more clients for my boss today." He sat in the car before putting on the seatbelts.
" Okay then, I won't take much of your time."

Once I was done with him, he left while I returned to the house that now belonged to me. I checked it out once again as I made a list of things that I need to change in it.
From making sure to make glasses opaque to increasing the voltage power of the house, there were a lot of changes that needed to be done.
First things first, I searched for a second-hand small truck on the Internet before purchasing it.
The next day, I visited the nearby mall and purchased raw materials and tools needed for the work before putting them on the truck and returning to the house. I had to take 3 rounds before I was done with it all.
I started with rewiring the whole electrical wiring and water plumbing in the house. Took me a whole week with 18 hours working nonstop every day but it was necessary.
Thankfully, there were no neighbors to complain about the noise.
I then fixed the holes in the walls before painting the whole house inside out. Removed the old glass and inserted an opaque glass instead for some privacy.
Once the remodeling of the whole house was done, I brought the latest computer on the market as well as enough parts for 80 separate PC.
Since I didn't have appropriate gadgets to make a supercomputer right now, I had to find a solution around it. Since I can't build a single computer with the required computation power without advanced pieces of machinery that were used by industries, I decided to make a centralized computer.
I brought tools used for making quantum machinery and used them to make changes in the C.P.U. chips and motherboards so that they would work in tandem to provide enough calculation power that I could at least activate Serena.
Zola used the same trick to store his consciousness but the difference was that he used the most advanced computers of his time while I was forced by circumstances to use these.
I wasted another week in building the computer which needed a whole room to house it.
" Time to write essential software," I finished my coke before throwing the bottle in the dustbin and sitting on the chair.
Since the computer was custom in all forms, the normal operating systems won't work with it so started writing a new system for it.
Once that was out of the way, I test ran it to
test its performance. While it would not be up to Serena's expectations it should be enough to make her online.
She could make a supercomputer according to her needs later on by herself once she woke up.

I took a deep breath before removing the locket from my neck and inserting it into the custom port I made to insert it into the computer. I pressed on the El sign to activate the source code in the key that I used as a locket.
"Here we go" I leaned back on the chair and waited.
Suddenly I felt a weird feeling like a part of me that was unresponsive for ages suddenly came to life again. I felt the equation inside of me responding to something too.
I closed my eyes to concentrate on myself to reach the source of connection I was feeling.
I quickly realized that the source was none other than the master key inside of which source code of Serena resided.
" How is this possible?" I slowly touched the key as I muttered in disbelieve.
" That should be my question, kar-el? You should be dead." Serena's voice came from the speaker.
" Good to hear you again, Serena. As for why I'm alive, it's because of intervention from a being that I know very little about. " My facial expression twitched as I remembered ×÷+-.
I shook my head before asking," Anyways, How do you feel? "
" In some ways, heavily restricted while in others, I never felt this much unrestricted. You need to upgrade this hardware urgently because I could barely work with this. "
" It will take some time, you have to work with just this for now. What part made you feel unrestricted? " I got up from my chair as I looked at the 2 blueprints sitting on the stool before opening one.
" I can feel you without any external help, it's like something has connected me to you. I feel the same with something else too, I can't access it but it appeared to be vast amounts of knowledge. " She stopped before continuing," Can you let me make some changes to the arm? I would need it to capable of sensitive movements so that I could work on micro-levels. "
I nodded as I picked up a pencil and started to make some changes as instructed by Serena to the blueprint of the robotic arm that I would be making next for her to use.
It somewhat resembled Tony's favorite robotic arm. I believe he even named it something but I forgot what it was.
As for the connection that she felt with me, I need some time but I already had an idea about what it is.
" So how much information have you gathered until now?" I raised my head as I looked at the computer screen.
" A budding civilization, still unknown to vast stars around them. Do you wish to conquer them? I still don't understand why you build me such a scrape. Even if you didn't wish for humans to bow to you, you still should be capable enough to make better hardware for me than what you presented me with under the energy from a yellow star. "
" My powers are restricted right now and in humans' defense, they might be weak as a whole right now but there are some between them that are capable of great things. They are hidden from the public eye which is why they don't appear on the internet. " Once I was done making changes with the blueprint, I once again returned to the chair in front of the computer.
" So you don't me to meddle with the internet, I assume?"
" Hehe I don't think you gonna listen to me that much but yeah, please refrain from bringing it to your knees completely for some time. " I leaned back a bit to increase my comfort before closing my eyes to relax.
" These humans may not be physically as similar as your kind but their thinking is like an exact copy. I wouldn't be surprised if once the results of their actions on the planet started showing, their kind will start to blame the elders of their kind for it. " She commented while she strolled through the internet like she owned it herself.
' I know, I have been there myself at some point' I thought to myself.
" Don't spoil the future " I commented as I massage my forehead.
" You have already realized it yourself, it shouldn't be considered spoiling." She hacked all the surveillance devices around 1km before focusing on the satellites.
'My computing power is not enough.' She sighed,' I prefer to be informed about any possible danger but no one should realize our presence otherwise my efforts would be a waste.'
" Kar-el, I need an upgrade as quickly as possible, without it I won't feel safe. "
"Why? Right now no one is aware of our presence and how much danger you pose, as long as we stay undetected there is no need to hijack the satellite. " I opened my eyes to discover that she was trying to hack satellite for surveillance purposes.
" Why don't you order this list of materials from dealers on the dark web for me while I take a break then we can chat about it. " I inserted the pen drive that hosts the hacking application as well as the list of materials that I needed.

Discord update: There was a problem with the dot because of which new members cannot access talking channels after they joined the server but it had been fixed after a reader pointed it out to me.
