**Narrator's P.O.V.
"Julie, go and hide somewhere and don't come out until help arrives." Ben hastily advised Julie before running towards the forever knights.
He raised his hands and began cataloging through his Ultimatrix, pressing on one of the aliens.
"SPIDERMONKEY!!" He transformed into a blue-haired monkey with four arms.
"Kekeke... you will regret ruining my date," Ben promised the knights while avoiding energy blasts from their guns. He utilized the superior senses of his transformation to weave right through them.
Once he was close enough, he started to fire webs from his tail that trapped some of the knights.
Meanwhile, Ben finally reached physical distance from them and punched one of the knights with his left fists.
*Smack*
He then used him as a base to perform summersault, shielding himself from laser blasts fired at him by other knights.
While in mid-air, he zipped at an electric pole and swung on it.
"Ike Keke, why can't you people just sit peacefully for a single day?" Ben grumbled before pressing at the Ultimatrix sign and transforming into another of his aliens.
"Jetray!!!" He shouted before flying into the air and shooting lasers at the knights.
Quite a few of the first wave of knights were already unable to fight when the second wave arrived.
They had more than just laser guns. They quickly aimed at Ben and shot a concentrated blast of hypersonic noise.
Because of Ben's extra sensitive ears in his transformation, the attack had quite an effect on him. He crashed from the skies and rolled on the road.
"Ouch, ouch ouch. Ugh," He sighed and groaned before clicking on the Ultimatrix sign again.
The green flash faded and multiple white-colored silicon-based lifeforms emerged from it.
"Echo-echo, Diamond cuts diamond, and sound cuts sound. Let's see which one is noisier, your ugly weapon or echo-echo?" They spoke in unison.
They quickly surrounded the knights while constantly multiplying in numbers, making it harder for the knights to get out of the blockade.
Before long, they all opened their mouths in unison and produced powerful waves of sound that knocked out almost all the knights inside the blockade. One among them didn't get knocked out, but he looked around at his teammates and pretended to be knocked out too in fear.
"Hahaha, how does it feel to swallow your own medicine?" One of the echo-echo remarked, sitting on the head of a knight.
"Ben!!! Watch out!!!" Julie screamed from far away.
Ben thought someone might be thinking of attacking him from his blind spot as he turned around with vigilance only to meet a glowing ball of fire raining down from the sky.
"Oh-Oh," Ben muttered before the ball of fire engulfed him and the knights beside him, only to stop after destroying half of Mr. Smoothy.
"Nooooo, not Mr. Smoothy." Rath emerged from the fire screaming in despair as if his whole family was sentenced to death.
"Listen, you ball of rock or fire, whether you may be. You better celebrate your last moments because you have made rath very angry. No one survives after making rath angry." Rath hissed like a cat- overload that he is with all his hair standing to the end.
*Beep beep*
Before rath could do anything, the Ultimatrix started to act.
*Beep beep, unknown alien DNAs detected. Normal functions will be and remain suspended until the scan is complete.*
"No, you listen to rath when he-" Ben reverted to his human form, and the Ultimatrix turned yellow.
"Ugh, my head hurts," Ben grumbled, massaging his head before walking to Julie.
She quickly supported him, "What do we do now, Ben?".
"Ugh, this has happened before too. Before I can access my transformations once more, I must scan the unidentified alien. Help me reach the crash site." Ben explained before requesting.
They slowly walked into the broken wall of Mr. Smoothy.
"How long do you think it would take before it can open once again?" Ben sorrowfully asked Julie causing her to roll her eyes in anger.
"That's what you are worried about?" She protested. "Not about a few dozen people in medieval knight costumes armored with sci-fi weaponry attacking you on our date?"
They rushed to Kar-el, who had been unconscious in the midst of the rumble.
"He looks like any normal human," Julie remarked in curiosity.
"No, I'm confident he's the one we were looking for. How can someone remain unharmed after falling from the sky at such a high speed that they were, engulfed in a ball of fire?" Ben shook his head.
"Gwen and Kevin both appear to be humans. However, they are hybrids between two separate alien races and Humans."
"Do you think it's okay to scan him without his consent? Isn't there some intergalactic law or something for this?" Julie asked back.
"None that I know of, plus unless I scan him, I can't transform. What if he is hostile to us?" Ben remarked before turning the Ultimatrix at Kar-el.
*Scanning in process.*
A ray of yellow light shot from the watch and scanned Kar-el.
*Error, multiple unknown DNA present. Scanning failed.*.
"What?!!" Ben muttered, confused when another male voice sounded.
( Warning: An act of espionage detected. Checking the host's state. Check complete, the host is not in the condition to respond.
Automatic protection provision activated.)
"It's coming from his suit," Julie told Ben in surprise. Her pet ship can also take the form of a protective suit.
And true to her words, the suit Kar-el was wearing acted like it had a life of its own and completely covered Kar-el and expanded into a 3-meter ball.
Suddenly, the ball grew spikes on it.
Ben and Julie widened their eyes in horror as every spike on the ball-fired energy blasts.
"Get down!!!" Ben screamed, covering Julie, and laying down on the ground.
They waited for a few seconds, but not a single blast reached them, so they looked behind to find a pink wall shielding them.
"Gwen!!!" Ben sighed in relief as they both got up and looked around.
"Here," Kevin said from his car, motioning them inside. Gwen concentrated on protecting them while standing on the bonnet of the car. Unfortunately, Mr. Smoothly did not have much luck, as several of the blasts turned the already half-destroyed edifice into a rumbling.
Ben and Julie quickly ran to the car and took its back seats.
"The suit is regarded as a type of cybernetic life form. You guys need to help me separate it from the alien it is protecting so that I can scan them both; else, I will be unable to use the watch." Ben stated as Gwen got inside the car.
"Not now, Ben. We have only two people capable of fighting right now, and more forever knights are on their way." Gwen hastily told him.
"With tanks," Kevin added.
"It's best if we let the knights handle the unknowns first while we wait for both sides to weaken each other." Julie hypothesized.
"Exactly," Gwen nodded as Kevin turned the car and moved away from the battleground.
As they left, 3-sliver tanks finally arrived and fired their cannons at the giant ball.
The ball showed surprising agility as it zigzagged through the attacks and approached one of the tanks.
When it was 10 meters away, it bounced into the air and stopped spinning. The side that faced the tank distorted and changed into a cannon, releasing an energy blast that melted the entire tank into the liquid. The fate of the people inside the tank was clear without the need to say anything.
Ben gulped inside the car while watching the scene while Kevin looked hungry to study the cannon.
"That could be us," Julie muttered, horrified.
"I don't believe so." Gwen refused her. " It is merely retaliating with the same intensity to the attack launched against it."
"My shield would not have saved you if the bombs it shot at you two had been of comparable strength." She added.
"You mean to say it only killed them because they were using lethal force against it, unlike these two?" Kevin asked while driving.
Gwen nodded.
"Guys, we need to go back?" Ben said.
"Why?" Kevin wondered if his hero consciousness was acting.
"The ball is not engaging with the knights unnecessarily, instead escaping from them, but the only problem is that it is going towards a dense population area." He grimly stated.
"We need to stop it or redirect its path before it's too late," Gwen ordered, Kevin's face turned serious.
He quickly turned the car and raced to catch the ball.
"Looks like the knights didn't take the loss of their ranks lightly," Kevin remarked, noticing that the tanks were also following the ball ahead of them.
The ball skillfully navigated the roads avoiding the cars on the road as it increased the gap between it and the tanks.
The knights were not that kind-hearted and fired at the ball without regard for the civilians.
"Gwen!!" Ben subconsciously spoke.
The young Anodite didn't need her cousin to encourage her as she used mana projection to skillfully divert the energy blast fired by the tanks into the air.
"The bigger problem at hand right now is the knights that appeared. We need to stop them before they cause much mayhem." Kevin made a decision before accelerating the car so that they went side by side with one of the tanks.
Gwen used mana to create a ramp below the tank, causing it to turn upside down before Kevin upped the speed again and Gwen used mana projection to shatter the next tank's spinning wheels.
Now not having any way to follow them, the knights could only watch as the ball and their car disappeared from their vision.
They were crossing a highway when the ball chose to transform into a humanoid figure with a semi-solid and semi-liquid body of 4-meter long.
It stretched its arm that turned into tentacles that grabbed onto the highway above it and pulled itself above it to try to ditch their car.
"Oh-no, you are not getting anywhere. Only for times like these do I make a few upgrades to my car." Kevin smirked before pressing a few buttons on his car panel.
The tires turned horizontal and started to produce jet flames that made the car fly in the air long enough for them to also get on the highway.
"Woah. Hey Kevin, can you make these changes to my car too?" Ben asked in excitement.
"No way, what am I, Crazy? Do you even have any idea how much it costs?" Kevin replied in disbelief.
"Boys, enough fighting. We are in the middle of a mission right now. Please Focus," Gwen sternly reminded them.
"It's fine, Gwen. This highway leads to the outskirts of the city. We just need to trail it for now." Kevin reassured her. He noticed that she was quite tense right now.
"What's with you, dear?" He asked worriedly.
"Do you remember grandma Veronica?" She hesitated.
"Who could forget that woman?" Kevin shivered in fear.
"Well, it's like the first time meeting her, but only this time it's 10s of grandma Veronica together. The amount of mana radiating from that ball is astronomical." Gwen replied while rubbing her hands. She does it often when she is nervous.
"It's not from the nano-crystalized symbiote but the being inside it."
"Kyaa," Julie screamed, suddenly finding a man in a lab coat sitting between her and Ben. When did he get here was beyond her, which scared her senseless.
"Professor paradox!!!" Ben protested.
"Can you please stop doing that?" He requested, knowing that his words would go unnoticed.
"You guys have no idea who you are dealing with." Professor paradox sighed.
"Mind enlightening us?" Kevin rolled his eyes.
"Of course, the mana is affected in his presence. Mana is also known as the life force of this very world. And the person ahead of us is one of the sources of said life force."
Paradox stated.
"We are fortunate that even when he is unconscious. He can still restrain himself to such an extent." Paradox grimly stated.
"I thought only the females could carry the spark of Anodite," Gwen told Paradox, causing him to shake his head.
"That is not true. There are male Anodite too. But he is not of your race, dear Gwen. Anodite, while extremely powerful and entirely made up of mana, are in no way as powerful as him. He is one of the abstracts." Paradox explained.
"In fact," He took out his pocket watch, "It's about time for him to wake up. Kevin, please try to be civil while in his presence." Paradox advised.
A second later, the humanoid came to a halt and folded back into its suit form, revealing Kar-el, who was awake now.
