Staring at the computer on my desk, with nothing to do, the numbers or the proposals held my attention contrary to popular opinion. I could not stop thinking about the incident on Saturday, and how for the first time I was in the wrong. It left a bitter taste knowing I needed to apologize to her but the fact was that I did, and I was responsible, for what happened to Mirabel that evening.

Getting up, I grabbed my jacket that was hung at the back of my seat and tucked my phone safely in my pocket. "I'll be out all afternoon, clear my schedule for the evening," I said to my Secretary, as I walked out with him close on my tail. I knew he wanted to object but yet he said nothing, we both just kept silent as I walked to my car.

"I'll drive," he said reaching for my keys.

"No, it's a personal matter, I would prefer to deal with it on my own. I'll see you later."
