Ever-absent boyfriend.

ASHER

She stepped backward, her eyes widened for just a second but I caught it, I caught everything. "Why would I be scared of you," she said pulling on her mask.

Tilting my head I stepped forward and crossed my arms across my chest, "exactly my question. At first, I thought the terror I saw in your eyes was because of that boy but I thought about it, you weren't looking at him but at me."

She scoffed, eyeing me up and down, then finally throwing her chin up in the air, "I was staring into space don't flatter yourself I would never be looking at you."

"The same way you weren't looking at me at that interview? I am sure that you were looking at me with that spine-chilling terror because this isn't the first time." I sated watching her closely to see how she would wriggle out of this one but she only sighed.
