Chapter 3

Father looked at me in confusion as I kept chewing on my fork, "what's up?" Father asks "nothing, just thinking" I say putting the fork down "about?" "nothing important, don't worry" "okay, your the boss", I smile softly.

"Baby,we have a party to attend" Mother says and I roll my eyes at her,I've never been to a party in my entire life,never,so why the sudden changes, "don't roll your eyes at me" Mother scolds "do I have to?" I ask "yes", I drop on my bed and cover my face with my hair,"oh come on Baby" "fine fine". I got dressed in a black and white high waisted skirt and white blouse with black polka dots tucked in the skirt, and a pair of black wedge heeled shoes,I do not want to be at this party I swear.

"You look so nice" Mother says "yeah" I roll my eyes and she smiles softly "I know you don't want to go to this party but the Peters' are very good friends of ours" "at least you have friends", she hugs me "come on", I pulled my curls out of the ponytail so they bounced,my hair almost touched my butt,I love it so much that I don't want to cut it.

So far,the house was huge, I knew the Peters' were very wealthy people, my parents always said they were nice people but no one is nice in my eyes. "Hey,cheer up", I fake a smile and Father laughs lightly.........so having everyone looking at you sideways is never a good sign and I was getting irritated by it,I met the Peters',I haven't seen Ryder nor any of the girls that hate me so far,so that's a good thing "you don't have to put up with it", I jumped slightly then turned to look at Ryder "sorry" he says and I nod "come on,I hate this party anyway" he says and I look back at the people looking at me in disgust,I followed him out to a balcony, which was quite cozy and seemed nice.

We sat on two chairs,why was he even talking to me,sooner or later he'll be like the other people,so its best if he saves his energy for the field.

"You must be wondering why I'm being nice" Ryder says and I shrug nodding "I'm just not used to seeing people get bullied,well I see but not the way they treat you",my mouth shaped an O and he smiles "you know when I first saw you,I didn't actually see your face, but I see now that your really beautiful" "thanks I guess" "you guess?", wait he understands me?, "your really beautiful but if no one else sees that then that's their problem, I see it and I'm telling you,your very beautiful" "wow,that was unexpected" "yeah, I never really talk to people except friends or family" "well hi,I'm Coral", he laughs lightly "hi Coral,I'm Ryder", I smile "even your smile is pretty,can you do it more often, when your around me?" "I'm not sure we'll get to talk since your popular and all and no one likes me" "well that's their problem,promise we'll be friends", I was a bit shocked by that but I shrugged "we'll see", it was nice talking to him,didn't know he was this nice,although I don't talk, he has no problem talking to me.

"Bye Coral" Ryder waves as my father opens the limo door,I wave with a smile and he grins,I got in then Mother got in before Father did, "you made a friend?" Father teased,I shrug "yeah right,I saw you two talking, its nice he talked to you" Mother says "it was nice I guess" "its a good thing we brought you then".

I stood at my locker,watching Shaun cautiously as he eyed me,he's not happy and by the looks of it,he'd run me over with a tractor if he got the chance to. Shaun was about to walk over to me but Ryder stood in front of me "I'd like to see him try" Ryder says calmly,I tilt my head looking at him "seriously?" I ask "yes,so smile for me", I gave a fake smile "smile, that's not a smile", I smile for real this time,he's just silly, "thank you, let's get you to class" "you know I'll die after all this right?" "I swear that if anyone touched you, I'll make sure they need more than the hospital", I register his serious face then walked along side him,getting eyes from Shaun, man oh man,I'm gonna die,I'm gonna die I tell yah.

Ryder told me to meet him at practice, he had practice and wanted to see me for something, don't know what it is and I'm nervous. I sat on the bleachers and looked at Ryder huddle up with his teammates, except Shaun,he sees me and smiles, soon the whole team was heading toward me and Ryder motioned me to come down, I did. "Coral,meet the boys", I met everyone, who seemed nice, "so you want us to stop the bullying that's going on with her?" Malcolm asked "yes" Ryder says simply "oh,okay then" they shrug "so now we're your bodyguards Baby" Alec says, he's Ryder's best friend and he's sweet,they all are "we'll get back to training, see you around Baby" they say walking off "so getting me bodyguards was necessary?" I ask Ryder,he winked with a smile "bye Coral,get home safely please", I smile "bye", this is too much for me I tell yah,too much.

Ryder

"I guess it'll be okay if we watched her back" Jet says and the boys agreed "yeah,since this thing's getting out of hand" Alec says "so we'll stop the bullying, doesn't that mean the whole school will have to know?" Tyson asks "yup" "then let's do it,I was getting sick seeing how they treat her" Luther says,so now I got Coral some guards,I trust these boys so they won't hurt her,Shaun on the other hand doesn't know and he'll be pissed about it,but who cares anyway.

Coral needs friends and I have just the right persons for that,besides the whole football team,Nicole and Benny,two cheerleaders who are like sisters to me and they call me their brother, I'll see how that works out.

"Brother?" Benny asks, she's a brunette,she's sweet but has a bad temper "yes?" I ask "you want us to babysit your new girlfriend, she doesn't talk for crying out loud!" Nicole says,she's a blonde and very loud "yeah,she's my friend and I hate seeing the way people treat her" I say "ugh,your so lucky your my brother Ry"Nicole sighs "and your lucky we understand sign language, we'll be her best friends" Benny cheers happily "oh thank god, I love you two,I owe you a ride on my private jet to Paris for a shopping spree" I say hugging them both "Paris?,in your jet?" "yup" "why didn't you marry her instead?!,we'd be living in a castle!" Nicole says and I laugh at her "just don't break her, please" "okay lover boy" "Nikki,I'm not-you know what?,bye bye",I walked away "bye Coral's future bae!!" they both shout,I laugh lightly ignoring them, please don't break her.
