Chapter 4

Coral

I sat in my seat,right in front of Helen Williams, she's gonna yank my hair all day,and I was right,but when she was about to do it again,Bryan and Luther removed the two kids from each side of me and sat there "do that again,and we'll end you" they say harshly, so the class heard, she didn't bug me at all and the two crack heads didn't allow me to write properly, messing with each other,I had to keep slapping them to behave.

Being crowded by two cheerleaders I'd feared, Nicole and Bennett,although they've never did anything to me,it was still scary,they were friends with Daisy, "look,we're your best friends,if you choose anyone else other than us or the football team,it's over between us, got it" Bennett says and I was confused but nod in response "good,I'm Nikki and this is Benny", I wave "so we'd call you Coral but that's too much, since you don't talk its Baby" "that's fine", they smile hugging me "see you at lunch, bye", they walk away and I blink before checking if I'm awake or asleep.

Ryder walked over to me with a smile "I see you made friends"he says taking my books "its scary" "having friends?, welcome to my world, you'll get used to it though" "let's hope", I can't believe they said that,what the hell is Ryder up to and why do I have the most popular people in school as friends, yup, I'm writing my own death wish and he's putting his signature at the end. So lunch with a bunch of boys,is hell,they are so loud,fun but loud,and Nikki and Benny added to it,it's hell over here and everyone was confused as I was.

"Baby,catch!" Ryan shouts throwing a ball at me,I was all the way across the hall from him but I caught it and threw it back,"great throw",I gave him a thumbs up "dude, I need your math book" Chris says to Pete, who ignores him,I gave him mine,he smiles then kissed my cheek "best girl in the world" he says before walking off with my book,he's got a math test I think,it's only been one day and we get along great already. "Dude,we are having a sleepover tonight" Benny says wrapping an arm around my shoulder "why?" I ask "because we do that,please?" Nikki asks "okay,I guess" "you love to guess huh?", I smile at Ryder "bye guys, we've got class" Benny says and they both leave.

"So you don't like to talk straight?" Ryder asks "do I even talk?" I ask "you can if you want to" "how?" "I'll help" "how's that gonna work?" "we'll see,later dude", he put my books on my desk before leaving, yup,he walked me to class and to my seat.

I felt three figures sit behind me,I didn't bother turning around to know it was Omar and his two friends who always bug me in social studies class,"so Baby's hanging with the big kids now huh?" Frank asks playing with my hair "just know your still nothing" Omar says yanking my hair,I closed my eyes tightly at the headache I got, "so you like big boys?,I'm a big boy too you know?" Harry asks smirking, "is this what happens everyday?, I'd move over Omar" Jeremy says,him,Oliver and Quincy stood at my seat with their arms crossed, the three boys sunk immediately "touch her again and I'll make mommy know about your parties" Quincy says to Omar,they sat in front of me and I sighed in relief when no one decided to bug me in class,except this one kid who threw a paper ball at me, let's just say he's not gonna be throwing for the next few months,the boys broke both his arms,and didn't even get detention for it either.

Benny

"Do you think its a reason he's helping her?" Nikki asks as we looked at Ryder talking to Coral "no,but its nice to know he's helping her" I answer "yeah, have you seen how Daisy treats her" "yeah, it's horrible, looks like he's gonna get her to talk someday" "if he does, I'll pay you fifty dollars?" "deal", Ryder laughed at something and Coral yanked his hair, he's never let anyone touch that hair "did you see that?" Alec asks,I jump then look at him,god he's so cute,and also my boyfriend, we've been together for almost four years,yup still going strong, "yeah,he let her touch his hair,I'm like a sister to him, I've never touched it!" Nikki says and I agree "I've never seen him so focused on anyone in a while" Alec says "maybe its a good thing" I say as we watched the two talk about something that seemed interesting, its very strange that we are able to have a nice conversation with Coral but its fun,especially when she's mixed up and just bites her lip to stop herself then starts all over again,I guess Ryder has a good influence.

We were at practice,Daisy was all over Ryder,who was thinking deeply about something "the hell she doesn't give up?" Nikki asks "I don't know but I can't wait till Baby starts talking, man she'll dis her wickedly" I say "yeah,she's so funny, but she's never laughed" "Ryder's working on that,I know it" "I think he is,look at him and follow his eyes", I followed his eyes, he was looking at Coral that had her headphones over her head and reading some book she had,how can she read and-never mind,I don't even want to know, I swear.

Coral looks up at something before getting up and catching it,it was a ball,a soccer ball,she dropped it then kicked it,it went straight to the owner,who fell over after catching it,she's really talented but doesn't really show it.

"Ryder,are we hanging out tonight?" Daisy asks "do we ever hang out?" Ryder mutters harshly "don't be like that baby", he looked at her before walking off to Coral, who smiles,it's so cute watching them having conversations. Daisy walked over to us "why is she talking to my boyfriend?" Daisy asks us "gee,he's your boyfriend, so ask him" Nikki says sweetly, "I'm gonna end her one day,I mean it" Daisy grits and we back up a little from her,she doesn't know we hang out with Coral, or she'd kick us off the squad, but who cares, she's too bossy anyway, "awe,he's walking her to her car!" Nikki gushed,I chuckle dragging her with me,she's too soft for her own good.
