A Few Days Later.

It did not take long for Gideon to reach the 49% threshold in his poison law comprehension. But as Altair said, the moment he reached that threshold, he couldn't raise his law comprehension past that no matter how hard he tried. It was as if there was an unbreakable wall between him and whatever lay beyond.

Ordinarily, Gideon wouldn't be in much of a rush, but now knowing that he had around a year before the True Gods started to get restless, he was keen on doing things very quickly.

While he doubted he could reach their level in the span of a year, he still wanted to get as strong as possible before the time limit elapsed.

One could argue that he didn't need to leave after the year ended. But Gideon knew that if he didn't show during that time, the True Gods would definitely let out their frustration on the people of Kepler.

So, to get past this threshold, Gideon had a clear-cut plan in mind.
