I have realized that i like world building a lot. or if i'm not calling it by the correct name- i like creating imaginative worlds where a story would most likely take place in.
usually it starts with an inspiration for example i have been reading a lot of manhwa? mangas? i don't know think it is but one of those about being reincarnated and stuff.
then i start imagining me being a character in it and changing the story line.
this is where it starts getting out of hand as more characters are added… because i like to be thorough with where they are specifically (or not so much) from and look like…
this becomes a problem because so far this is all in my head as i'm reading the manhwa and getting new information… and now that i write this i don't know how i do it…
but from here i go to an app called 'Gacha Club' and design my characters and little descriptions of birthdays and personalities (i have been lazy lately so the new one i'm somewhat working on now, (i have become uninterested in-) the characters don't have birthdays) oh and i mentally note which part of the continent they are form, the city, though i don't have names for them… i don't want to research into it because the one i'm working on is medieval and i don't know any medieval names for cities or towns.
the one i have been working on (i don't have a name) is a medieval somewhat magical world. i have a mental image of what the continent the characters are on and a few others but those aren't important. the main continent somewhat looks like Australia but the size of either Asia or North America.
the sad thing about all this is that usually once i move on to a different topic of reading, (like me going to princess manhwas to stuff like 'The Return of the Blossoming Blade' recently) (oh i extremely recommend reading the manga? comic? above its really good and hilarious… but this is my opinion)
anyways got off topic but after the switch i usually stop the world building or 'story' that i usually create along with it. another sad thing is that once i got really invested and tried to write it out but… everything just fled my mind when i tried putting details in it and where the story would go in the first place…
(this is what happened with the other short stories i tried to write on Webnovel or here you may say. Before i wrote this sentence i looked at the princess one i tried to write and realized that would be definitely something that i would like to read. i can't believe i wrote that a year ago… wow i was smart… or at least i think i was…) (same with the apocalypse one also)
honestly with how i get really determined then either blows right out the window it came from or dies, i don't feel surprised that i somewhat feel forced to keep theses entries going… but i think it's more of i the fact i ran out of ideas to write about… (as you can tell i really like world building)
this is getting really long so i should probably split this into to but who cares? i don't. but the entries might lag a little or might just as well stop because i have a trip i need to go on in a few weeks. i'm looking forward to it because i'll get to go to the beach for once in a while!
and i know once i start writing i don't want to stop- i think a new 'story' i'm going to write i mean think/imagine/design/come up with is about archaeologists. y'know how in the 19 hundreds they were finding a lot of tombs and stuff? well it's something like that. oh it is somewhat based on a movie that i forgot the name of but i know it's a famous classic (think i watched it like 3 times? and the sequel or sequels? idk)
but anyways i hope you have a good day/night! this might be it for a while~ i at least know i will right one about my trip in a few weeks oh and maybe about me and my family playing tennis as i think it's cool! though it's hard to find a court to play on… anyways bye!
