Winner Takes It All

Another hour had passed on now and the battle is still going nearing its 2nd day now. "You seemed tired now Jason." Said the Apostle. "Me tired? No way, ask that yourself." Said Jason as their fatigue is finally showing up. "You just don't get it Jason, my rules and morals will be the salvation this country finally needs." Said the Apostle. "By sacrificing innocent people? When did that became salvation?" Said Jason.

"You just don't really understand it Jason. You're a fool, a sleep. You haven't seen what salvation this domain really needs!" Said the Apostle. "I'll call bullshit on that one. Salvation isn't about sacrificing the innocent. It should be the safety of the entire people you guide!" Said Jason as the two still fight on till their last bit of energy.

"You know what screw this I'm finally releasing everything here." Said the Apostle as he channels the energy he had been collecting from all the dead title holders that he had sacrificed. "So we're doing it again huh. Just like that midnight fight, where you got me. But this time I'm not letting that happen in my watch." Said Jason as he channels his title and as the Axe glows ever more slightly red than before. "I'd say lets finally end this. Winner takes all Jason, its either your life or mine. Adhere to the thousands of sacrifices I made let my heresy be my power!" Said the Apostle as darkness consumes him with the souls of the deceased.

"What's your move now Usurper?" Said the now Awakened Apostle. "Haven't heard that title in you know what fuck it. I'll take you down and I've had enough speaking about how old I am." Said Jason as his eyes glow the shade of blue like the one he had in his prime. "Moonlit Usurper, I'll fulfill the destiny that I have once failed. I'll take you down with all my rage and might." Said Jason as they finally release everything they have and to finish the long stalemate.

Meanwhile in back in the resistance base... "Wait that's Alex's title?" Said Elise. "You've finally figured it out." Said Pat. "But why Usurper?" Said Jacob. "The Usurper title has been feared by everyone. Since it was the title that shaped this world after every war there will be one who bears the Usurper title so far only 3 who had succeeded on using it to its very limit. And your friend there Mr. Alex is now the 4th holder of that title and as you know as a title gets used by its successor it gets more powerful. Alex soon will notice this and hopefully can utilize it to its full potential." Said Pat. "I sure hope that Alex won't get overwhelmed." Said Elise.

"I think that won't be a problem Ms. Elise. Now that Lord Jason had finally woken up he would guide Mr. Alex on controlling that new profound ancient power." Said Pat as is reassurance that Jason is a great guide on controlling and handling heavy responsibilities. "Don't worry we won't let Alex be astray of himself." Said Night. As everyone is finally settled and a bit relaxed now that they know their plan is in good shape.

Back in the battle... "What can you say I'm still a bit more powerful than you Usurper!" Said the Apostle. "But don't forget that I get stronger as you overpower me!" Said Jason as they give they all on trying to kill one another but in a split second of a mistake Jason did from slipping. The Apostle took advantage and knocked him off a bit finally hitting a painful attack. "A mistake is fatal Usurper!" Said the Apostle. "Not this time you bastard!" Said Jason as he regenerates his wound that pierced him in the lower right.

"What now Usurper afraid of dying?" Said the Apostle. "I was about to ask you that question as well!" Said Jason as another split second both of the Apostle's hands were sliced off and fell on his knees caught off guard by his own surprise attack. Jason finally relaxes a bit since he knows he had won the battle. "So it finally came down to this Jason huh." As the Awakened Apostle returns to normal. Jason looked back at his comrade in his knees without arms waiting to be executed. "You finally proved yourself Jason...

I could finally rest in peace, but I have my words left before you kill me. Warn the kid that the Apostles after me should not be tolerated. They're not the people you use to know or at least know of. Avenge me, Jason I never really wanted to become an Apostle. Just heed my words a person will betray that kid sooner or later." Said the Apostle as Jason listens to his words nodding in agreement.

"Okay I'll tell him about this. But for now sleep now my friend you are finally saved from this damned world." Said Jason as he ends the Apostle by beheading him while the clock tower strikes midnight. "It was just like that night..." Said Jason to himself remembering that he also died by midnight.

"But now the kid's body needs to rest. Alex, I am sorry for going a bit overboard on your body. Don't worry I'll teach you these techniques ones you target the next Apostle." Said Jason as he finally passes out from exhaustion... Over the radio the words of Pat saying "Apostle has been executed. The Domain is restored, mission accomplished."
