CHAPTER SEVEN: TO HOLD ON OR TO LET GO

I had never been to a press conference before but the amount of pressure I was feeling just answering questions from the press was enough to send me to my death bed, we announced to the public that we were a couple and had dated for over five years but we're only panning to make our relationship public after we set the day for our wedding, I must say Jiang Hao was a great help seeing how he comforted me with his gestures and even words..I don't know of the public bought whatever we had said but in the blink of an eye I had become the most famous actors fiancee, destiny really knows how to play jokes on people.

" Well iam no shipper or anything but you and Jiang Hao look good in this photo." Alia said as she showed me," I don't know about looking good but I must say I was really nervous out there." I replied as she came and sat besides me," You life is dramatic in a way that I could write a whole movie about it." Alia said as I agreed," Let me give you a personal interview..." she said as she picked up her phone and used it as a mic," So Ms Sang Yi..how does it feel suddenly waking up to becoming THE great Jiang Hao's wife?" she asked as I dramatically cleared my throat and flipped my hair," Well I don't know about how I should feel but Jiang Hao should be thankful and appreciative for having a fiancee like me..." I said as we both burst into laughter," But seriously he should..." Alia said as we continued laughing and teasing one another.

JIANG HAO'S POV

" Come have a drink with me.." I said to Eric who was quietly standing besides me," You know iam not a good drinker...and I also have to drive you home so I'll pass." he replied," Then just come and sit down..." I said as he looked a bit hesitant..it's funny how he has worked with me for all these years but he still suddenly goes into these professional assistant modes and can't seem to relax I front of me," Come on.." I said as I pulled him to his seat," Is something on your mind..?" he asked," What makes you say that...?" I asked," Well I've been with you for many years so I know when something is eating you up on the inside." he replied as I sighed and sipped on my drink," Well this whole thing...me and Sang Yi the relationship...it all feels surreal." I said," Iam an actor and I know when a plot gets messy but my life is one of those scripted shows and I just don't seem to know what's going to happen regardless of having the script in my hands.." I added as he quietly listened to me," Do you understand?" I asked," Well I don't...but I know you can go through this..like you have always been doing." he said as I suddenly was moved with his words but that's one of his charms he literally says anything but when he does it always leaves an impact," Thank you..." I said as I slightly patted his shoulder," Now are you sure you don't want a drink .we could both take a cab home." I said as he immediately stood up," I'll wait for you in the car Mr Jiang..." he said as he left," Eric!!" I called out as he ignored me and left," So I guess it's just me and my wine." I said as I sighed and continued drinking.

Lately I have lost the ability to completely get drunk, no matter how much I drink I just am still sober,I reached home took a shower and prepared my self for another round...I don't drink because it's my hobby but because I have alot to forget..and alot I don't want to close my eyes while thinking about, as I sat down to drink, my eyes fell upon the invitation letter she left behind,I really don't know why I was still holding onto it but one thing was clear...I was still holding onto everything that concerned her.

SANG YI'S POV

I dont know how people term moving on but to me it was collecting everything that reminded me of Li Wei, putting it in a box and throwing away, I wasn't sure that was going to help me get rid of the memories too but I wanted to take this chance to start afresh for my self and not for anyone else.

I reopened the cafe and I wasn't sure if the reason why I got many customers was because of how tasty my coffee and pastries was or because people were curious to know about me as Jiang Hao's fiancee but whatever the case was..I was just happy and glad to be back.

" Business has been really good today." Alia said as I handed her a cup of coffee," I know..it felt good having all these customers around." I said as noticed she was writing something on her computer," Are you still waiting for their call?" I asked," ofcourse..they had good responses for me at the audition so the least they can do is actually call me and tell me that I got the role." she replied," They will..other wise it's a pity for them to miss out on a great actress like you." I said as he tested her head on my shoulder," You really are my no fan." he said as we both laughed.

Alia has wanted to become an actress for as long as I remember from participating in school plays to running away from hometown and coming to the city to fulfill her dreams despite her dad being against it..she can do anything for acting and I hope to see her on the big screen some time in the future.

After a few days, Ai man asked to meet both of us, we had already been tasked to do things like have a live stream together or take pictures and post them on our social literally anything that would convince the public we were a couple," Iam going to get a script trauma if you keep doing this.." Jiang Hao complained as Ai man handed us scripts," What are these for?" I asked as I passed my eyes through them," It's the proposal.." she replied as we both stared at each other," A what?" Jiang Hao asked," A proposal...your sweet proposal for your fiancee Sang Yi." she added," Isn't this a little too soon..I mean we just confirmed our relationship a week ago and now a proposal..!" Jiang Hao exclaimed," Well have you forgotten that you have been in a relationship for five years and were planning to make your relationship public because of marriage...well now people are looking forward to that marriage." Ai man explained," You really enjoying your self aren't you?" Jiang Hao said," I enjoy myself each time your popularity grows." she replied," Go through the script...the proposal is happening in three days." she concluded as she left... personally I really agreed with Jiang Hao but I had also lost track of my life a long time ago and was literally going with anything...since I put my self up to this.

After going through our scripts, Jiang Hao invited me for a drink," How are you feeling...I mean with all that's happening..I hope it isn't pressurising you." he said as I smiled and sipped on my drink," I should be asking you the same question..since we both in this situation together." I replied," Right...but we are going to get through this... together." he said as we tossed to whatever was happening to us right now.
