CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE: Embracing my present

Making the decision to go to Yena's wedding was after a long time of thought and yes I also believed that this was the perfect chance to finally close that chapter for good, I have some thing I can hold on for the rest of my life and I wasn't going to ruin it all by being stuck in the past.

" Are you ready?" Sang Yi asked me as we rode to the wedding venue, I wasn't ready my heart was definitely beating first.. because I wasn't clear how all of this was going to make me feel but I had her by my side and that's more than enough.
We arrived and were asked to take photos with the bride and groom since many of the guests were doing exactly that," Well you can each stand on either side." the photographer said as I moved to the groom's side and Sang Yi moved to Yena's side," Okay then... smile." be said as we did and he took the picture...things were a bit awkward since I had no idea how to start any conversation with Yena.." It was nice meeting you Mr Jiang Hao...iam a huge fan." Yena's groom said as we shook hands," Thank you for inviting me." I replied as I stared at Yena who seemed to be having a small talk with Sang Yi," well I still have a few guests to welcome so how about we catch up later." he said," I'll let you get ready..." he added to Yena as he left..." I can see that the two of you have already met." I said awkwardly," Yes...and I love her already." Yena said as she smiled towards Sang Yi," Can we talk?" I said to Yena," What do we have to talk about? I thought I already said all I had too." she replied coldly as I insisted," I'll let you guys have your space.." Sang Yi said as she came towards me.." I'll be right outside.." she whispered as she reassured me with a smile and a head nod," Okay.." I replied as she turned to leave.

" Are you going to say something...or not?" Yena asked after we spent a few minutes in silence," You look really good today." I said," Can I know why atleast?" I asked as she stared at me," Know what?" she asked," Know why you changed over night..." I replied as she scoffed," Are you really asking me why I broke up with you on the day of my wedding..?" she asked," Well I deserve to know...why you turned cold all over a sudden and don't get me wrong..iam not here to plead with you to take me back...iam here to get an answer from you that will end things between us." I explained as I quietly waited for an answer," Look there is no reason why we broke up or why I immediately got engaged..there was no love between us any more..I didn't like you any more and so we broke up." she replied...I really expected my heart to break a bit..but I guess she had given me this answer so many times I became accustomed to listening to it," Well iam sorry we couldn't save us." I said as looked the other way," Well that's it then..I needed an answer and I have it now so congratulations on your wedding..." I said as I stood up," Also...thank you for being there for as long as you did." I added as she stared me with teary eyes," Come on...you getting married and it's supposed to be the happiest day of your life...I don't want to be the reason you look sad when you should be happy." I said as she wiped her tears," Iam sorry.." she said softly as I smiled at her," There is nothing to be sorry about...feelings change." I said as I sighed and looked the other way because I was also getting really emotional.." I'll let you get ready.." I said as I turned to leave, I felt sad but I also felt relieved, it felt like I needed this for a long time now...and when I walked out of the room, just like she said Sang Yi was outside waiting for me, that alone made me feel all the comfort I needed at that moment.

" How do you feel now?" Sang Yi asked as she handed me a bottle of water, we had left the wedding after the groom's made their vows and sincerely speaking I didn't feel like being there any more," Iam good.." I said as I took a sip," A bit hungry though.." I added as she smiled," I figured you would be...how about we go and have something tasty." she asked," Iam already excited just thinking about it.." I replied as she talked to Eric," Can you leave us here?" she asked," Well..iam not so sure about that.." Eric said as she cute him short," We can walk from here...is it okay?" she asked me," It's okay..you can leave us here." I said as we stepped out of the car," Make sure you call me in case you need me.." he said as he left.." What are you up too?" I asked as I looked around.." Well today iam going to give you a meal experience you have never seen before.." she said with a smirk which made me even more curious," Okay..iam already loving this.." I said as she held my hand," Let's go.." she said as we left hand in hand.

" Bian Chen has the best...food street ever..and it's especially the best at night..you can have all the meals you want too." she said as we stared upon a bunch of lively people just standing at food stalls and having their meals," What's wrong?" she asked," Well...this looks really good but are we sure this food is as healthy?" I asked as she sighed and flicked my head," Wow..I saw this coming but since you always have your meals calculated because of your profession, I figured we could have all the meals, snacks that you have been wishing to have..just for tonight." she said as I hesitantly agreed," And you don't have to worry..I'll Definetly go to the gym with you tomorrow for a work out." she said as I smiled at the thought of it," Okay.?" she asked as I agreed, she pulled my hand with such excitement as we browsed through all the stalls..it was a really nice experience my job had really limited my food intake since I always had to worry about how much I take in and whether I was going to stay in shape but I decided to lock all that out for this one night and it was all so worth it...we had alot of meals and snacks, it all felt really nice.

" Have this..." she said as we sat down," It's pretty chilly tonight." she said as I proceeded to take off my jacket," It's fine..I have mine." she replied as she helped me put it back.." This looks so nice.." she said as she closed her eyes..I couldn't help just stare at her and smile," How was it..?" she asked," Did you have fun?" she added," I did...and all the meals were tasty.." I replied," I figured you needed that after the wedding." she said as I stared at her quietly," Thank you so much." I replied," Why would you...?" she asked as I cut her short," I would never really went if it wasn't for you..and I hate to say but I would have been trapped in that past." I explained as she smiled softly," You did it all on your own..I just offered you my support.." she replied," I needed it.." I replied as she moved closer to me," I don't think I can do this anymore.." she said as I stared at her with confusion," Do what?"..I asked," I don't know..wait for you to pursue me first.." she replied as she put her arms around my neck," Can I just say yes to your confession in advance..?" she asked as she smiled," Does that...?" I asked as she kissed me," It means that I accept your confession, no need for pursuing..I want to be with you." she said confidently as I stared brightly at her with teary eyed eyes," I love you.." I said," I love you too." she replied as I couldn't hold back any more and kissed her, This was me cheerfully and happily embracing the present that I had at the Moment and it felt really nice.
