Chapter 77 Self-deception

Sitting at the dining table and looking down at the food on his plate, Santichai still didn't have the courage to look at Asnee, for fear of looking at Asnee, he wouldn't be able to stop crying. He continued to eat his food quietly, without looking up at Asnee.

Asnee put down the phone and looked at Santichai. He sighed and said, "The taxi will arrive soon, you can leave after you eat."

Santichai looked up to meet Asnee's eyes. He could see from Asnee's eyes that Asnee's fighting spirit no longer existed. "I'm not going," he insisted.

Asnee asked, "What exactly are you trying to achieve?"

Santichai said, "I just want to be with you." Santichai looked at Asnee. "What about you? What exactly are you trying to achieve?"

Asnee said, "Enough... leave... I want to be alone." He saw the headlights shining through the window. He looked at Santichai. "Your ride has arrived."

Santichai knew that Asnee still didn't want to see him at this point, but the more Asnee tried to push him away, the more he wanted to stay. He didn't want to argue with Asnee, so he slowly got up from the table and walked to the door.

Santichai turned around and said, "Asnee, what do you want to eat tomorrow?" Asnee didn't answer, stepping forward to open the door for Santichai. Santichai smiled. "I'll come over tomorrow and make you breakfast."

Asnee didn't answer but closed the door in front of Santichai. Asnee stood by the window, tearfully watching Santichai get into the taxi and watch it drive away from his driveway.

The taxi takes Santichai to the door of the community. He stepped forward to meet the two guards and walked towards KK's house. He entered the code and the door opened. He walked in and didn't see KK in the living room. He looked at the kitchen, but KK wasn't there either. He entered the bedroom and found that the glass door to the balcony was open. He saw KK sitting at the table. Santichai stepped out into the balcony.

KK looked up at Santichai and said, "You're back."

Santichai sat down and looked at KK, "Mmm..."

KK smiled and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Asnee doesn't want me," Santichai said. "He is reluctant to forgive me."

KK turned around and said, "How is this possible? He seems to have the heart to win you back."

Santichai said, "He kept telling me that since I have chosen you, I should not go back to him, but I know he didn't mean that, he just said it to make me feel guilty for leaving him."

KK said, "Since you already know that, why are you here?

Santichai said, "I have nowhere to go."

KK chuckled lightly, "Santichai..." He stood up and walked towards Santichai. He knelt down on one knee in front of Santichai and held Santichai's hands. "I don't know if you've noticed, but during the time we've been together, I've always known that Asnee has always had a special place in your heart, a special place that no one can replace. Although your mouth keeps saying that you want to forget him, the truth is that the more you want to forget him, the more you want to remember him, because he has always been the most beautiful flower in your vase."

This time, Santichai heard KK's words clearly. Although he was not that smart, he actually understood what KK meant. He looked at KK and said, "KK, I'm sorry...I tried."

KK smiled and said, "I know you tried, and I'm really happy with your choice."

Santichai said, "KK, I will continue to go to school and work for HappyCare as we said, but during this time, I can't see you, I hope you can understand."

KK smiled bitterly and said, "I understand."

"I want to tell you that Asnee has a brain tumor, and he needs my support the most right now," Santichai said. "I want you to know that you have a special place in my heart that no one else can replace too."

KK said, "Thank you." He looked at Santichai. "Are you sure you're ready to go back to your old life?"

"I'm ready," Santichai said. "Actually, I've been lying to myself, and I know no matter how much time passes, I believe I can never forget Asnee; the person who took me to heaven and brought hell to me."

KK sighed, "I lied to myself too. I always knew that you would never forget Asnee, but I have good intentions for you, and I hope that as long as I work hard, I can win you. I don't mind if Asnee has always exists in your heart, but as long as you're willing to stay with me, I'm okay with it. But today, I don't think my efforts will convince you to fall in love with me and forget Asnee." He leaned down and kissed Santichai on the lips. "I always knew that today would come."

Santichai said, "You once asked me if I believed in fate, and I told you I didn't believe in fate, but now I do. KK, thank you for everything you've done for me."

KK said, "Fate brought us together, and fate brought us apart. This is also a good thing; we now know what our hearts want more than ever. When I decided to chase you, I was ready to bear the consequences. You do know being by Asnee's side, you will face many difficulties?"

"I know, but I'm ready," Santichai said. He looked at KK. "Well, I think, this is goodbye."

KK smiled bitterly, "I guess so."

Santichai hugged KK and said, "Thank you for everything. Thank you for your encouragement. Without it, I would still cowardly hide behind the fake walls I built to protect my heart. Whether it was yesterday or today, I still truly love Asnee." He tightens his arm around KK. "When I said I wish we could've met sooner, I really meant it." He kissed KK's lips. "I'm going to pack my clothes. See you around."

KK said, "I want you to remember that if you need someone, I'll always be here." He looked at Santichai. "I won't see you off, I'm afraid I might not be able to handle the pain."

Santichai walked into the room, took out his suitcase and bag, and began to pack his clothes. After he finished packing, he walked to the door, looked at KK for a long time, and then said, "KK, I'm leaving.

KK didn't look at Santichai and said, "I wish you good luck."

Santichai turned around, put the bag on his shoulder, and dragged the suitcase out of the bedroom door. Santichai walked out of the front door, closed the door behind him, and drove out of the driveway on his moped, heading toward the community gate.

It took Santichai an hour to get back to Asnee's home, and it was two in the morning by the time he reached the beach house. He pulled the moped into the driveway and pulled his small suitcase and bag to the door. He let himself in.

Santichai entered the guest room and put his bag and suitcase inside. Santichai knew that when they were together in their previous life, Santichai's belongings were not allowed to be in the same room as Asnee. He sticks his head out of the room and finds Asnee sleeping with the night light on.

Santichai smiled and murmured, "Still sleeping with the night light on." He closed the door and walked into the guest room. Lying on the bed, he closed his eyes, and suddenly heard loud vomit sounds from Asnee's room. He got up quickly and walked into the master bedroom.

Santichai saw Asnee sitting by the bed with a small trash can in his hand, throwing up. Santichai rushed over and sat next to Asnee. He asked worriedly, "Asnee...what's the matter?"

Asnee didn't answer but continued to vomit.

Santichai rushed into the bathroom, wet a towel with cold water, and rushed back to sit next to Asnee. He started wiping Asnee's forehead and neck. He was scared, he didn't know what to do to make Asnee feel better. "Tell me what I need to do to help you," he said.

Asnee put down the small trash can and Santichai quickly wiped his mouth. "Help me go to the bathroom," Asnee said.

Santichai took the small trash can from Asnee and helped Asnee into the bathroom. After Asnee rinsed his mouth and void, Santichai helped him back to the bed. Santichai changed the garbage bag and sat on the floor beside the bed.

After a long time, when Asnee knew that his headache and dizziness had subsided, he looked down and saw Santichai leaning against the edge of the bed with his eyes closed. Asnee reached out and stroked Santichai's head lightly.

Asnee's stroke suddenly woke Santichai. Santichai looked up at Asnee and asked worryingly, "Do you need anything?"

Asnee moved his body to the middle of the bed and said, "Just climb up if you want."

Santichai quickly got up and climbed into bed. Santichai rested his head on Asnee's right arm and buried his face in Asnee's chest. He sobbed softly in Asnee's arms. Asnee wrapped his arms around Santichai tightly and dropped a kiss on Santichai's forehead.
