7 I'm Anthony's mate

Avril's POV

The next morning.

I woke up in a daze, the sunlight stinging my eyes.

Anthony has disappeared. I thought he'd gone back to work.

I was feeling a little hungry, so I went downstairs in my pajamas.

However, as I walked to the restaurant, I heard a familiar voice.

It's Clavin, Anthony's best friend.

"Anthony, as your good buddy, I really can't take it anymore! Why do you want to be with ugly and ill-tempered women?"

"I heard that she was in the heat yesterday at her father's birthday party. If I remember correctly, you were in the council chamber at that time discussing how to protect our Silver Lake Pack, right? Such a lecherous she-wolf is a disgrace to our Silver Lake Pack, she doesn't deserve to be our Luna-"

Clavin was talking so hard, he didn't even notice that I had been standing behind him.

"Who are you calling a slutty she-wolf?"

"Oh, crap!"

Craven turned around in shock, and when he saw me standing behind him, his eyes looked like he'd seen a ghost.

"Who are you ?"

"I'm that slutty she-wolf you've been talking about, Avril."

I lifted my chin slightly and looked at him coldly.

"Hey, this doesn't even look like you, how did you suddenly become so beautiful?" Craven looked at me in surprise.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Because I'm not wearing any makeup."

Marcia used to always tell me that wearing heavy makeup was what made me look better.

I took her word for it and used a lot of makeup on my face every time.

If I had not become a rogue in my previous life, disguised as a human to live with humans, I would never have known how ugly the heavy makeup on my face was.

Hearing me say that, Clavin's look changed the subject with some embarrassment, "But why are you at Anthony's house?"

When I heard that I immediately retorted, "I'm Anthony's mate, what's wrong with being at his house?"

After saying that, I glared at him and walked over to Anthony to explain, "Anthony, don't listen to his bullshit. I only accidentally went into heat yesterday because I was set up, I'm not a slutty she-wolf."

If it were before, I would have been angry at myself for being denigrated and snarled towards Clavin.

This time, however, I chose to hold back.

Because I knew that Anthony's trust was more important than arguing with Clavin.

"Damn it! Is there something wrong with my ears or your brain? How come that arrogant and rude Avril seems like a completely different person!"

"Kraven, you shouldn't love to speak to a lady like that now without knowing the truth, let alone, she is the mate of the leader of the wolves, my chosen Luna," Antony said to Craven in sudden anger.

Craven was a little surprised at how defensive Anthony was of me.

But the mighty Alpha had said so, and he had no choice but to reluctantly apologize to me.

Anthony was willing to believe me and reprimanded Clavin for me, which made me happy.

After breakfast, they went to the council chamber to discuss how to respond to the Blue Moon Pack.

I was happy to see them out, and before they left I said enthusiastically, "Anthony, I'll be waiting for you to come back for dinner tonight."

He didn't say anything, just nodded gently.

I knew that I had lost his trust in the past and it would not be easy to regain it.

But I won't give up no matter what.

After breakfast, I went back to where I was staying to change into a set of clothes before leaving for school.

I forgot to mention that we have our own werewolf academy in the Silver Lake Pack.

After this semester, I'll be graduating soon.

It's just my grades that might be my weakness.

Since my grades were bad, I definitely had to study harder if I wanted to graduate safely.

And for that reason, Marcia always held me down with her excellent grades.

To others, she was the good girl who worked hard, while I was the bad girl who was stupid and ignorant.

Of course, I'll change that in this life ...

Because, in a previous life, I had a few years studies at a human university.

All that knowledge I didn't know before, now I do!

Half an hour later, I arrived at the school.

When I walked into the classroom, many of the students were upset to see me.

Someone muttered in a low voice.

"How does this slut still have the nerve to come to school?"

"Haha... maybe she's trying to steal someone else's mate to improve her status among the wolves."

"Alpha's mate is a bitch! That's a shame!"

There was no expression on my face when I heard those voices.

I knew Marcia would never pass up the opportunity to make someone disgusted with me.

Because of Marcia, I offended a lot of people, so these students treated me badly!

Fortunately, I'm used to their bad attitudes and don't find it all that uncomfortable.

After taking my seat, I began to organize my notes and prepare for my teacher's arrival.

But when I opened the textbook, I was outraged!

The textbooks are all torn out! There's no way I can continue the lesson.

My head began to ache vaguely, too, and I looked around hopelessly.

My eyes lit up again when I saw my tablemate.

My tablemate's name is Emily Liam.

She's the genius of our school!

But I remember clearly that in my previous life, the genius Emily was ruined by a terrible rumor.

Because of some disgusting photos that led to everyone talking about Emily.

She had to face the harsh reality and discrimination against her students, and this unbearable burden led her to finally end her life.

But she never knew that the mastermind behind it all was none other than Marcia.

Marcia did it because she was jealous of Emily's good grades.

In a previous life, I was too trusting of Marcia and laughed at Emily for a while.

In fact, in my past life, I was indirectly one of the murderers who killed Emily

Thinking about it, I felt very sorry for myself and couldn't resist greeting Emily: "Emily, it's nice to meet you."

Unexpectedly, when Emily saw me, it was as if she had seen something terrible.

She stepped back a little in fear, "What do you want to do?"

I quickly squeezed out a smile and said gracefully, "Don't worry. I just wanted to borrow your textbook. I haven't been to class in a while and my textbook got torn out. I won't do anything to you."

"Okay." She hesitated for a moment and then handed me the textbook.

Meanwhile, Marcia walked into the classroom and pretended to be happy. "Ah, Avril, why are you here so early today?"

"My book was torn out by the bitch, and if I want to study seriously, I'll have to borrow it from Emily, and I'll have to borrow them from Emily if I want to study seriously," I replied tersely.

Marcia had contempt on her face, and it was clear she didn't believe I'd be serious about learning this crap.

But she still put on an enthusiastic face: "So why don't you borrow it from me?"

I laughed and replied with no interest, "There's no need for that. I'd like to see Emily's textbook, she takes a lot of notes in it."

In a previous life, Because I had a bad temper, no one would lend me their textbooks after they were torn out.

As a result, I was criticized by professors in public

When it was over, Marcia and I explained that she was too far away from my seat to lend me her textbook.

But I know that's not the case.

The person who tore up my textbook was Marcia.

But before I knew this truth, I was kicked out of the Silver Lake pack.

I've learned my lesson from before and won't be played by her again.

I sat in my seat quietly looking at the book.

At that moment, the bell rang and the professor walked in, leaving Marcia to return to her seat in a depressed mood.

After class, I packed up my things and got ready to leave.

Marcia walked over and smiled, "Avril, let's go."

I turned her down and said, "No, I want to go with Emily."

Emily was surprised to see me.

I immediately put on a pitiful face, "Emily, I'm still a little confused about what the teacher said today, can you help me?"

Actually, I get it all. I'm just trying to find an excuse not to go back with Marcia.

Emily looked at me and couldn't bear to say no, so she nodded and said, "Okay."

A look of joy immediately appeared on my face.

"Wonderful! Emily, you're such a kind little angel! Let's go, I'll buy you dinner!"

After saying that, I gave Marcia a provocative look and then, grabbing Emily's hand, walked past her.
