What happened again?

Avril's POV

The next day.

As soon as I arrived at the school, I saw another group of people gathered in front of the bulletin board.

What happened again?

Curious, I pushed my way into the crowd and saw a notice about Emily.

Emily's seduction of male students has seriously damaged the school's reputation.

As such, she is hereby officially expelled from the school, the notice reads.

The boys were only given a couple of verbal warnings.

Shit!

How did things come to this?

My heart sank.

I didn't think those boys would be so brazen!

Those bastards obviously did such a horrible thing to Emily, but they have the nerve to call themselves victims!

I was furious when I found out what happened.

Was Professor Grace blind?

How could she listen to rumors and fire Emily without a thorough investigation?

I was angry and ran straight to Grace's office.

"Professor, you misunderstand Emily. She's been wrongly accused! Those boys are lying," I said, very angrily.

At the sound of my voice, Grace looked up quickly and disgruntled.

"It's not for you to judge. Those boys are saying that Emily seduced them." Grace replied.

When I heard that, I couldn't help but become angrier.

I yelled, "So you're just going to take their word for it and not do any further investigation?"

"Is this the attitude you're supposed to have when you talk to a teacher?" Grace questioned me angrily instead of answering my question.

I forced myself to take a deep breath and calm down.

"Professor, I have a video that proves Emily's innocence."

I said as I pulled my phone out of my pocket.

Grace's face immediately changed when she heard me say that there was a video for proof.

She said, "Show me the video."

I turned on the video and handed it to Grace.

But in a surprising turn of events, Grace deleted the video on the spot.

"What are you doing?" I was stunned.

Grace seemed relieved and smiled, saying, "It's just a video. It doesn't make any sense."

I looked at Grace, not understanding what she was doing.

Grace continued, "Avril, I suggest you better mind your own business. The school has already decided to expel Emily. You can't change anything."

"If you want to graduate, you better get your studying done. You didn't do as well as the other students on your last test, and frankly, it was kind of bad. Don't blame me for being irresponsible if you don't graduate later." Grace said.

After that, she sat back in her seat as if nothing had happened.

Grace is so hateful.

She is a teacher and educator.

How could she insult Emily like that without finding out the truth?

And, she deleted the evidence.

When she deleted the video, I wasn't alarmed at all.

All the files on my phone are automatically backed up to the cloud.

So even if it's deleted, I still have a backup on my cloud drive.

What really surprised me was Grace's approach to the case.

Why is she reacting so strongly?

In addition, she even covered up the boy's crime and removed the evidence.

Could it be that Grace deliberately didn't want the truth to come out?

I looked at Grace with some suspicion.

Obviously, Grace is deliberately trying to fire Emily, but why?

I know there's no point in arguing with Grace right now.

I put my phone in my pocket and went back to class without saying a word.

When I arrived at the classroom, I happened to hear a couple of girls gossiping.

"I heard there was a boy yesterday who was Grace's nephew!"

"Really? I heard that Grace comes from a well-educated family. How did she get a nephew like that?"Another girl called out.

"Hm, who knows? But I didn't think a straight-A student like Emily would get expelled from school."

"Why? Don't you want her to leave? If she's fired, we could be ranked higher!" Her friend said.

"It's true."The girl nodded.

Hearing this conversation, I finally knew the truth.

No wonder Grace was so eager to destroy the evidence.

That's because her own nephew is involved!

Oh, the irony.

Grace abuses her power as a teacher when she attempts to accuse Emily of seducing boys and even immediately expels her.

She did all this just to cover for her nephew.

But does Grace know that her selfish decision is enough to ruin Emily's life?

No, not only did it ruin her life, it ruined a family's only hope!

How can a woman be as selfish and unfair as she is being called a teacher?

The thought brought a sarcastic smile to the corner of my mouth.

That's good. Grace really pissed me off.

When I was determined to get justice for Emily, Marcia came to my side.

"Avril, I heard you just went to the office to plead for Emily?" She asked me anxiously.

I gave her a look and corrected her, "I'm not defending Emily, I'm proving her innocence. Emily didn't even do any of these things, so why should I plead her case?"

Marcia's expression changed a little.

She said, pretending to be concerned, "Well, anyway, Avril, you better not interfere with Emily's business. It won't do you any good."

I couldn't help but laugh again at Marcia's words.

It's clear that Marcia is now benefiting from Emily's situation.

It's clear that Marcia is now benefiting from Emily's situation.

"Avril, I'm all for your own good. You know, this whole thing was done by Grace's nephew. If you try to help Emily, you'll offend Grace. If you offend her, nothing good will come of it for you!" Marcia continued to admonish me.

I sneered inwardly.

I wasn't afraid of Grace.

I just want to fight for Emily and do her justice.

It's so unfair that Emily is suffering such a huge amount of shame, even though she did nothing wrong from the start.

"Thank you for your concern, but I didn't need it," I said to Marcia with a sneer.

"Avril, what do you mean by that?" Marcia obviously didn't know that I had guessed that she was the one who benefited from this.

But it didn't matter that she didn't understand.

Because, sooner or later, her fox's tail will show!

I smiled and didn't say anything. Then, turned around and went back to the classroom to start the next class.

At this point in time, the classroom was noisy.

All the students were talking about Emily.

people want to know how a student as brilliant as Emily got into trouble.

Some even mocked Emily for deserving it.

Only a few people were sad to lose a classmate.

I feel annoyed to hear that.

How sickening that all these people are speculating and insulting Emily without knowing the truth.

I've had enough.

I quickly packed up my things and left the classroom.
