Training ground

Marcia's POV

Everyone knew that Emily and I had a grudge against each other.

Avril and Emily being so close must have been intentional.

"Anyway, the forum is now full of negative comments about you. You've done so many wrong things and many people are criticizing you. If I approach you, I'll be hated too, won't I?" Avril looked at me with a calm smile on her face.

Her words made me angry.

But in order to get more out of her, I could only pretend not to be angry.

I shook my head nervously and said, "Avril, you know, I am not that kind of person. Those remarks on the forum are all false, I never did those things to Emily."

I don't know if it was my sincere attitude that touched Avril.

She didn't continue the conversation she just had.

"Well, don't think too much about it. I've just been a little busy lately, so I haven't had time to contact you." She explained.

I couldn't help asking, "What have you been busy with?"

She is both ignorant and incompetent, what is there to be busy with?

Could it be that she was busy hanging out with Anthony?

I couldn't help but be furious at the thought of her becoming the Alpha's mate.

Avril, you better watch out and concentrate on your business, or I won't let you off the hook. I thought to myself.

"Do you really want to know what I'm up to?" This time, Avril said with a smile.

I immediately nodded my head. "Of course! We're best friends. Of course, I want to know what you've been up to."

"Since you're so eager to know what I've been up to, you can come with me. I'll take you along so you can see what I've been up to these days." She said.

I was excited when I heard this news. "Really? That's great!"

Then Avril turned to Emily and said, "You can go home first. I'll come over later."

"But ..."

"There won't be any problem, Marcia is my sister, I trust her."

When I heard Avril say that, I couldn't help but sneer in my heart, if I didn't want to be close to Anthony, I wouldn't want to be a sister with her.

However, there was no way I could tell the stupid Avril about these things.

Emily hesitated for a moment and finally left.

She kept turning back as she left and seemed a little uneasy.

Avril gave her a reassuring smile once again.

I saw all this and felt so annoyed that I couldn't help but start complaining: "Avril, didn't I tell you to stay away from her? But why do I think you're getting closer and closer to her?"

"Why? You don't like us hanging out?" She asked me.

I paused in embarrassment and immediately replied with a smile, "No, not at all! If Emily's your friend, then she's my friend too."

"Really?"

"Of course, I can explain that right now. I really didn't know about the post on the forum, or that Craven would order those boys to bully Emily. They have wronged me. You must believe me!"

"Don't worry. Of course, I know you didn't do it. After all, we've known each other for so many years. How could I not know what kind of person you are? How vile she must be for someone to do something so despicable, right?" Avril said to me with a smile.

My heart skipped a beat at those words, but I was still relieved.

Avril is still so stupid and gullible!"

"Avril, you're the best. You're the only one who's willing to trust me right now."

Avril seemed impressed by my sincerity and she said, "Of course, we're good sisters. Don't you want to know what I'm going to do next? Then let's go now."

I nodded my head in agreement and then established a thought link with Carl behind me.

Carl stepped out, deliberately acting coincidentally, and called out to Avril, "Hey, Avril, what are you doing here?"

The encounter was carefully engineered by Carl and me, but I had to pretend to be surprised.

"What a coincidence, Carl. Avril just said she was taking me somewhere. Would you like to join us?" I asked him.

Carl nodded. "Well, I don't have anything to do anyway, so let's go."

Avril didn't say no to Carl, which made me feel good.

My goal was to get her and Carl together.

Because only if they were together would I have a chance to be the Alpha's mate.

But I never thought that Avril would take us to the training ground!
