Chapter 9 - Reactions

After his extremely cringe declaration, which surprisingly didn't affect him probably thanks to his previous life's memories, he played a lot with the animals and even talked to some old and intelligent ones.

He doesn't know how he could talk to animals but his intuition is telling him that this is normal for him so he didn't question much, just continued to play with the younger animals while the older generation just watch over.

Even though it is described as playing, he only sat down while the younger animals jump about around him, occasionally he would pet the ones snuggling on his hands and nudging on his face but that's about it.

Anyway, he heard from one of the animals that a very dangerous and powerful being is residing inside the forest and that being caused the storm that happened a few days ago.

Adam, hearing that a dangerous and powerful being is inside the forest got cautious at first, but when he heard more details he calmed down yet still remain cautious because he knew that what they're talking about is Zeus, Bell's adopted grandfather and he wouldn't do anything for now because Bell is still here.

For now, he would sleep because even though his body is rested, his mind isn't. From the constant recollection of memories, his mind hadn't got the time to rest.

What Adam didn't know was that the moment he passed out, a new power began to appear in his body and many individuals managed to detect it, including the Guild Leader of Orario, Ouranos.

Ouranos originally thought that it is only another God or Goddess that is descending but the longer he felt it the more sweat builds up his forehead.

'This feeling... it is the same as 'his'. Didn't he die sacrificing himself for us? No, it is only identical. It is not 'his'. Who could it be... Wait, there can only be two individuals who could have the same aura as him... his first creations.'

The familiar aura managed to shake his emotions, this aura hadn't appeared since the age of darkness and it appearing now is either a good or bad sign.

Several other individuals reacted the same but those who were born later only shrugged it off.

Freya, the Goddess of Love, Beauty, and few more concepts reacted a bit differently than Ouranos. She tried to search for it's location using her crystal ball but the only thing she managed to find is a large aura in a forest that has been there for a long time, she already saw it last time so she could only lament because she didn't manage to find it.

Loki, more or less reacted the same as Ouranos, the only difference is her mischievous grin that says fun things are about to happen, of course no one knows what's inside of her mind, except the author that is.

Hephaestus, who was forging inside her hidden forge, stopped for a second and looked at the direction she felt it. The aura managed to intrigue her but it isn't more important than forging so she quickly forgot about it.

And lastly, the closest God to his vicinity, Zeus, has his hair standing on its end because of the overwhelming aura. It only lasted for a few seconds but that is enough to terrify him that his clothes got soaked in sweat. He is one of the oldest gods and he also got a chance to see GOD creating something on their image.

He wanted to see what kind of thing can release such an aura but he couldn't leave because of Bell.

He only hoped that it isn't evil and wouldn't come here.

Back to where Adam is, he was casually stroking the baby animals, who got tired after jumping around him, and silently watching the sky.

Suddenly, he felt a weird aura, that was definitely not his, appear in his body. He circulated a strand of energy inside his body to probe the unknown energy, but when the strand hit the aura, it absorbed the energy and started shaking before bursting a light that spread throughout his body and a gentle light covered his body outside.

A few seconds later, he felt a weird connection to it through his brain as a glitchy holographic interface appeared in front of him.

[Good Afternoon. Fa...r, I... system... request... permission...]

He tried to read the message but the glitch made it impossible even for his enhanced senses to comprehend. Still, he managed to understand that it is looking for permission so he redirected his connection with it and adjusted his energy to allow its function.

[Thank you very much, Father.]

After he was done, a complete interface appeared again in front of him, but what he read made his dumbfounded.

'Father?'

[Yes, Father. I am an entity created to provide support for Father the next time he appeared.]

[I am, according to your current memories, is a system, but I am fundamentally different from the ones in your memories as I have an ego myself and was created by Father himself.]

The text explained after hearing his thoughts, this action confirmed that it could talk to him in his mind so he asked again inside his mind so as to not disturb the sleeping animals.

'What you mean by "Father"?'

[Father is the first creature ever created in the image of GOD. Father's name is Adam and he created me to assist him during his next appearance in the universe.]

'But I have no memory of this "Adam" you spoke of. Although we may have the same name, we could be different from each other.'

[Father has the same aura he uses when he created me. So I determined that you are my Father.]

'I don't get it...'

He began to dive deeper inside his thoughts because of the sudden information. He doesn't remember living as this world's Adam and maybe the system have mistaken his as it's Father.

[Father, please think clearly. I cannot converse with you if your thoughts are too complex.]

The system's voice rang inside his mind. He was intrigued about this fact because he can probably use it as a means of privacy. To be honest, the moment he learned that the system could read mind, he was displeased yet still accepted it.

[I think I know what Father is worried about, so let me explain.]

He was attracted to its declamation and focused his thoughts.

[The current Father is definitely not the Father that created me, but Father is still 'Adam' because from what I have gathered in this short moment is that Father is the embodiment of the concept 'Adam'. The moment Father appeared in this world, you have absorbed the record of 'Adam' so that make you my Father.]

Adam was stunned after hearing that was currently processing the information at an incredibly fast speed before exclaiming in his mind.

'What!? No way, is that why I was generally different than most people in my previous life and was also drastically stronger? If so, then that makes sense for me.'

He was also a bit weirded out by his abnormality when he lived as Adam Kasugano but he didn't think much of it and attributed it to his diligent nature, but now that he knew why, he began to understand why he was pretty abnormal.

[Father, please give me a name. I have waited for a long time to ask you this because last time, you didn't have time to name me. Please give me a name.]

Adam was surprised that the system asked to be named but it didn't last as he began thinking of a name, but half-way through his thinking, a question popped up in his mind, so he asked the system.

'Do you have a specific gender?' He asked bluntly.

[I have no gender for I am only existing inside your mind. Though Father did created me with Mother as the model so I could be considered as female.]

'I see female, huh...' he thought.

'Okay, I got it. From now on, you'll be known as...'

I'm back, my precious readers. I am genuinely sorry for the delay of the uploads because you know. I was in an accident and also had to get a surgery because apparently, a broken bone was stuck to my flesh. Anyway, I'm back now and will upload at least every two days.

And suggest a female or gender-neutral name for the system.
